  • Public transport ridership in the UK has been declining for many years, not just since the COVID-2019 pandemic. This is not the case in other countries, and the reversal of bus ridership in London in recent decades shows that this trend can be reversed in the UK.
Centre for Cities and Go Ahead launched the report at the London Transport Museum in Wednesday 29th November 2023.
The report explored policies to increase ridership and encourage modal shift including case studies from cities overseas and how these experiences could be applied in the UK context.
