    What you can do to make sure the pre wash gets rid of all the bugs…..before the touch less is put on a citrus APC, dedicated bug remover or even surfex hd and then lay the foam on top. Or even mix surfex into the touch less mix and apply it as a foam and it works wonders. Truly hard to beat.

    Does this product pre-clean better than just putting a few ounces of APC with your regular wash in your foam cannon? If so, very impressive. If not, I am having a hard time justifying buying this product.

      Been using BH auto foam for years, it's the best available in my opinion (worked as a valeter in the trade).
      Touchless is a few quid more expensive and has a PH of 11, auto foam is a few quid cheaper and has a ph of 12.
      Both are great, and realistically there is no difference between them in cleaning power so auto foam saves you a few quid.

    • @ZER0Y0N
      @ZER0Y0N  6 місяців тому

      Sadly it’s a bit more complicated than that as it all depends on impact rate, do you have a budget with measurements on? Or at least know how many litres? You need to fill your snow foam lance with water then fire into a bucket when your water in the lance has gone calculate how much total water you have accumulated. Divide that number by 0.04 and that’s the amount of product you need. Hope that helps

  • @andyrantshumanphilosopher7571
    @andyrantshumanphilosopher7571 2 місяці тому +3

    Dont pay attention to panel impact ratio. Its bollocks maths to make you use more product. Use what ever you're comfy, but if you use 10% in your cannon and run it on more than half on the pick up dial, bilt hamber will work consistently.

    Hi mate great video if your putting 400ml plus per wash does that mean your getting about ten washes for a 5 litres bottle? Cheers mate

    • @ZER0Y0N
      @ZER0Y0N  4 місяці тому

      Correct, For cars that are not really dirty as in summer with less rain and road film you can go down to 2% PIR so half, The thing to remember is the point of a prewash is to get the dirt off / loosened so you are less likely to scratch your vehicle, I have tried so many fancy snow foams and they may foam a lot and smell nice but Bilt Hamber actually does the job

    • @rileymullins9457
      @rileymullins9457 4 місяці тому

      Thank you so much mate for the reply really appreciate it.

    • @ianwilson2968
      @ianwilson2968 2 місяці тому

      It works really well at 1% PIR on most moderately well cared for vehicles, in this example 4% is way more than needed. The updated version launched a couple of months ago effectively halves the amounts needed as the recommended ranges is now 0.5% to 2% PIR.
      I used it for the first time yesterday after a week of dust storms here in Cyprus. With a Karcher K5 and MJJC Pro 2, I needed 60ml of product for 0.5% PIR as an initial test.
      I had 700ml of mix left in the bottle after cleaning our Qashqai which came up beautifully clean, our Q8 will probably used about 400-450ml of the remaining 700ml in the bottle, so 60ml of Touch-Less will almost do 3 cleans - depending on which order they are washed - so that’s less than £0.20 per wash, which for something that actually works is tremendous value in my opinion. Can’t see any value in increasing the PIR until our winter conditions.
      Bilt Hamber - it just works.

    • @danbaker1564
      @danbaker1564 2 місяці тому

      I think the issue is 1000ml bottle and the flow rate in litres. It would be 12L or 12,000ml.

    • @danbaker1564
      @danbaker1564 2 місяці тому

    good video, does seem alot of product is used though - thus making it quite expensive i would of thought?

    • @ZER0Y0N
      @ZER0Y0N  4 місяці тому +1

      It does generally appear that it’s more expensive - but the point is that it does the job, the whole idea of the pre wash stage is to loosen and soften the dirt so you minimise scratching during the contact wash - I’ve tried so so many different snow foams, all the fancy ones, colourful ones, well marketed and the ones that smell amazing - but I came to the realisation my paint was still getting scratched as they didn’t ever really move anything they just looked good. This stuff works. You use more but it’s cheaper to begin with in comparison to others where you will pay £12 for a 500ml bottle

    • @BrianW1612
      @BrianW1612 11 місяців тому +3

      Strictly speaking it isnt. You should be able to coat a with 200-300ml of solution so that 480ml ends up between 120-160ml per wash with the biggest difference here being the foam actually works very well unlike the rest of the market.
      Also you don't need to use 4% every time, only on extremely dirty cars. Maintaining your car every 1-2 weeks, 1-2% PIR is plenty.

    • @pigeonpoo1823
      @pigeonpoo1823 9 місяців тому +3

      Another way to use it would be 2-4% in an ik (or garden) sprayer. That equates to 20-40ml which is so economical. If you have one, give it a go and be amazed at the results. This approach works for surfex and is my preferred product in winter. One day I may try 2% of each as an experiment.

    The car is still bogging after rinsing off the snowfoam and we can see it when you rub your fingers over the paintwork. Do the same process on a dark grey or black car and leave it to dry after the rinse off and you will see this product does sod all.

    • @ZER0Y0N
      @ZER0Y0N  7 місяців тому +4

      I think you have the wrong idea behind a snowfoam, it’s a prewash designed to soften and loosen dirt reducing the chance of scratching during the contact wash. It’s not supposed to be perfectly clean after this

      Are you a bit thick son ?? You do know you can vary the pressure of these machines don't you ?????
      A Karcher K4 isn't the most powerful even on full, it wont do any harm to any car paintwork, unless the paint is flaking/peeling off and the jet gets underneath it.

      As an ex-valeter and have been into detailing for decades, I have tried dozens, and BH auto foam (very similar to this) is the best available.
      Touchless is slightly kinder to paint protection having a ph value of 11, auto foam has a ph of 12. Both are just as good at dissolving dirt.
