Good to see Alien Works back and posting! Another useful video and thanks for sharing
very good tutorial, keep them coming. Not many bike shops know how to do this stuff.
Buy a 5a smart charger and only use one charging port. Take the second one out and run the wire through its hole and use silicone liberally. Idk who would drill a huge cut out in the frame like that especially when this thing is reaching 45mph and up
Yup, that could work but you would still want some connector or way to disconnect it likely, I also don’t like tripping over wires on the deck.
Could I just buy one of those portable power banks that are really big and has an AC Wall Outlet on it and can I mount it somewhere to my scooter and then have my scooter charger plugged into it and always plugged in to one of my scooters charging ports and then just leave the power bank on all the time or at least when I'm riding it so that it will always be charging my scooter even when I'm riding it? Or basically what I'm asking is is it safe to be charging my scooter all the time from a power source while riding it?
@@DARK_AMBIGUOUShow old are you 😅😂
Just my update I have drilled a hole that is enough the wire to go under for me to close the side deck. Instead of silicone, I used electric tape and small tire tube and it stayed pretty tight. I made the right choice using that besides the deck
When drilling use a magnet to catch the flakes. And a rubber grommet in the hole. Also I want one❤
Is there one for the Vsett 8+
How much added range?
i would say dubble.
If you get the 35a upgrade battery, can you use your original 25a as the 2nd battery?
I need to get this done to my scooter? Can I buy splitter wires and battery box ?
Yes you can, we have them at alienrides
@@AlienRides awesome 👍 I have a 72 volt turbowheel phaeton , do you know if your guys 72 volt battery pack extender would plug and Play on your guys system ?
@@slidersgliders5516 It would be, but you may have to do some work to get the wire into the deck, should be easy.
@@AlienRides awesome 👍 thanks for the information ✌️ Keep it wheel 👍
Unfortunately many people don't understand that cheap non brand batteries are a waste of money and a problem.
When people buy electric vehicles they don't care nor know what batteries are included with the vehicle, it's cheap when you buy it but after ONE year the batteries will degrade much more compared to brand ones.
This solution here is ok only IF you have a quality scooter with a brand battery otherwise you'll lose money and time.
How would I install the extended battery into the Kaabo Wolf King
Never heard of a grommet?
I have a question regarding the amp hour diffrence between internal and external .will they deplete at the same rate . Voltage wise . Like back feed each other etc ?
Battery packs of the same voltage, when connected in parallel level out each other's state of charge, so yes. They should both be at the same voltage when first connecting them, or there will be inrush.
Update. I love mine
Hi Alien Rides reaaaly near to buying Vsett 10 with external battery installed by you guys. But doesn’t the batteries need a balancer of some kind? I have an extra battery on my e-bike and I use a balancer on it. Wouldn’t a escooter need a balancer too? Thanks for the help
I’m pretty sure the scooter battery’s have a smart bms that connects to your phone and it charged with the scooter it will take longer to charge but most 60v scooters have dual charging ports you can get a charger for cheap thr bms balance the battery’s
@king_ubaid5927the vsett 10+ doesnt have a “smart bms that connects to your phone”. dont tive nonsense answers to people if you dont even know what you’re talking about
Wouldn't it better to have a external solid state switch to avoid having the hassle of trying to keep the batteries around the same voltage?
The batteries actually stay even once plugged up in
even with mismatched capacities?@@AlienRides
I could sure use this for the Wolf King 28amp. The range is horrible…. Only 25miles using dual motors
Thats why i sold my Wolf and bought a Vsett10 lol, damn horrendous range. It would be dead after a 20 min hard ride..wasnt very efficient. The Vsett seems to meter the power better, its not a 72volt but I dont need the constant jerk action on every throttle pull either.
Vsett warranty voided…
Any issues after install?
Hello can I do the same thing for my Teverun fighter supreme?
yes
Can these extended battery be hooked up with the new mantis King GT?
Will this work on apollo ghost??
Is drilling really necessary
It’s drilling really necessary
Eating eggplant is good for your voice😂
me have vsett 10+ 28Ah + 15Ah external battery :)
That's what I have too but haven't configured it yet. How did you set it up?
@@javascriptkiddie2718 I paid a person who understands it :D I couldn't do it myself :D
1000 for a 25amp battery that's crazy
I think it’s about right for a high quality battery with bake brand cells, enclosure and screen. If you have. The diy to make it yourself you can definitely save money though.
@@AlienRides I agree the enclosure (mostly the screen) is what's enticing since finding any past 52v is non existent.
5.6x112=630 eur only for batteries samsung 5000mah + bms + work and you'll get 35ah battery
Why not use the preexisting hole in the deck?
if it doubles your range and you scooter is 2000 it workes out well.
Extremely way too much work. Alien Rides needs to come up with a simpler process than that
There’s gotta be an easier way 😂
pretty ghetto.. why not buy a rubber grommet that costs a couple cents and run the wire through it instead of that horrific big hole drilled out that is still going to be a potential point for water intrusion or cutting your wire with vibration (even with silicone use). just sloppy…
Will this work for my wolf king GT pro?
I heard yes but I contact them and ask
