2 years later and this is still the best Vsett 10+ tire change video! Great work again RevRides! Using it today just to refresh my memory as I put on the PMTs!
Changing tire for first time this year. I didn’t have to remove fender but I removed the two left screws to get the motor cable to the left side for room to work on the tire
I patched up the inner tube on my VSETT 10+ today, and there is no need at all to remove the brake rotor or caliper. It is still somewhat of a hassle, but at least a couple of steps are of the list. Also, there was no loctite at all on the 6 screws that keep the rim together.
Hey for some reason my vsett 10+ tire won’t take in any air I’ve only had it for 6 days the gold pice that you put the air in on the tire I’m able to wiggle it noticeably more than the front tire so just wondering should I get a new tire or inner tube or even both? Also what other things should I get to decrease the chance of this happening again
Soapy water? I use olive oil on the tire's wire bead, because almost every different tire ive fitted were so tight. Once fitted, i also cover the tube in talcum powder so it seats more easily inside tire as it inflates. Used too and still do the same thing on my high end hardtail mtb. And it might also keep moisture out, particularly around an electric motor.
Thanks for the vid mate. I need to replace the tube in the rear tyre. Weird thing is I see nothing in the outside tire. No nail, nothing. It just went without air....

Great question. You should use the same screws but may need some help from a friend to squeeze the tire by hand so that they two halves of the split rim are closer together.
@@RevRides360 alright! Also, when I unscrewed the rim with little force, it popped and there's a tiny crack. Can I still ride in a slow pace or can't ride it at all?

Concerning the pump, I just use the air compressor at work or at the gas station, but I think any hand pump will do nicely. You won't use it often, so I wouldn't splurge too much on it. You take the brake disc off to protect it, right? In the case why not just loosen the split rim bolts a little while the wheel is still mounted? Then change the tire and tube, put the split rim back finger tight, replace the wheel and then torque up the bolts when the wheel is back in.
Good video. I would like to know how you adjust the suspension. What is the tool needed and do you need to remove the rear wheel to do so? Thanks, Frank

my rear tire is flat and the slime is getting out of the tube i am on my way to a friends garage and use your video step by step and try to change it i´ll will write you later how it went greetings from Cologne Germany
Can everyone help me determine why my tire went flat last night. I was riding normal going down a residential street when all of a sudden my back tire kind of did a drift and that's how I found it was flat. Luckily I was not going 40 when it happened. Anyway I got back home checked the tire and there was no puncture marks or any nails or sharp objects so the problem had to be the tube. I squeezed some green tire slime into the tube and aired it up to find out it was oozing out everywhere but im still baffled as to how it happened. Will a hot motor do something like this because it was pretty warm? Or anyone have any ideas?
Thanks for reaching out! Yes, a hot motor combined with elevated surface temperatures can cause tubes to pop. Unfortunately the only solution is to replace the tube, which can be found here: revrides.com/collections/all-parts/products/zero-inner-tube Hope this helps!

It worked for me. I didn't even know I had a puncture until I saw green slime all over the back of the scooter the slime did its job after the tire pressure dropped. I had about 30-40 psi left when I got home and noticed it
Tyler what is the exact screw size for the disc brake rotor and split rim? Also why don't retailers make information like that known so we can buy more in case of stripping?

Depending where you you purchased from you should first message your supplier. This sounds like it may be a controller issue which I have not yet seen in the VSETT models.
Tubes for the VSETT 10+ are generally 10x2.0. The tire size is 10x3. That could be the confusion. If you could get a 10x2.5 tube it would be fine but those are harder to come by.
Was that an editing error? at ua-cam.com/video/9anfrnhcgRs/v-deo.html you started to do the front wheel but only unwrapped the cabling and rewrapped it.

Yes, it is. Remove the valve to do so. It doesn't AVOID punctures but, can heal small ones, once the sharp is removed. Follow the instructions on the product you purchase. REV Rides add Flatout to scooter tires before shipping.
The spray we used is soapy water to help the tire slide on the rim so that when you add air it self centers better. Not only is it a lot of work but it's a lousy design. The motor wire should come in the same side as the disc brake like on my Speedway 4 and Dualtron Ultra which makes a split rim used as it was designed to be used🤣. I've changed a lot of tubes and tires and this design will keep me from buying this scooter. What a shame!✌
@@jpoorr9973 If the wire was on the same size as brake disc and you'd want to change that disc when you bend it or its worn out, you'd have to husstle with disconnecting motor in order to take that disc out. I rather see it the way it is.

Great video! I have a question for anybody with experience on this scooter, I'm 240lbs would you go with the bulkier vsett 11+ that's rated for higher rider weight? 330lbs compared to 285lbs
I have a Vsett 8 and weigh 230lbs (vids of the scooter on my channel). You can ride any of these scooters but what'll happen is that your range & maybe top speed decreases. On the Vsett 10+ and 11+, the decreases will likely be negligible if any.
This rim design splits in the center for easier tire changes, which means it cannot hold air without an internal tube. Wheels designed for tubeless applications do not have anywhere for air to leak out. Hope that helps!

Can you show how to install a tubeless tire if there is one available. Nothing worse than getting a flat 5 miles from home.
Unfortunately you can not due to the split rim.
Is it possible to change entire wheel so that i can install solid tires?
hi! nice video. where did you find that working bench? i need one exactly like that. thanks.
Amazon has them. Search for hydraulic motorcycle lift table. I think it's called Extreme Max.
@@RevRides360 thanks!
tyres on the spit rim types are super easy, most struggle with the ninebot, m365 tyres
Yeah I don't mind them at all. The 11" tires are a bit harder, but these 8.5" and 10" tires are easy. Thanks for stopping by!
nice tutorial
Thank you! Cheers!
Hi can i use 255x80 tire on vsett10+?
Thanks for reaching out to us! You can find all tires we have available here on our website! Hope this helps! revrides.com/search?type=product&q=Scooter+Tires
Nice work guys.
Thanks Ginger on Wheels! Hope to catch you back in the shop soon.
@@RevRides360 with the EX.N floating around in stock soon I think its inevitable ill be showing up sooner than later.
This makes the decision of a rougher ride on solid tires for me. What a nightmare! I'm just gonna deal with the slightly poorer suspension and grip.
Any developments? Did you buy a solid tyre ?
Exactly my thinking lol
That's a lot of work to change a tube or tire. I hope I never get caught with a flat half way though my journey.
It happens to the best of us sometimes
Not only is it a lot of work but it's a lousy design. The motor wire should come in the same side as the disc brake like on my Speedway 4 and Dualtron Ultra which makes a split rim used as it was designed to be used🤣. I've changed a lot of tubes and tires and this design will keep me from buying this scooter. What a shame!✌
After just watching this video, I agree! Way too cumbersome to change a flat.
@@jessa.3857 I hoenestly dont know why scooter maufactures dont use tubless pneumatics like the segways or emove cruisers.
@@jpoorr9973 If the wire was on the same size as brake disc and you'd want to change that disc when you bend it or its worn out, you'd have to husstle with disconnecting motor in order to take that disc out. I rather see it the way it is.
Thank you very much for your video !!
Could you make a video , showing how to change the suspension for the Vsett 10 ( rear and front ) please?? 🙏🙏 I would like to put air shock one but I am very bad at mechanic … 👍👍
Changing the suspension is a big job. We would recommend you take it to your local shop if you have one. If you are in the USA we have shops in nearly every major city that can work on your scooter. We will be doing a video on this in the future but it could be awhile. Cheers.
Many thanks for your answer . As you noticed ,my English is not very good .. 😁 I am French .. I will wait for your video or any video on UA-cam showing the way to do . Thank you very much
@@RevRides360 do you have any shops in the Minneapolis area? Looking at new suspension.
@@fabianc1650 bonjour, j'ai eu l'occasion de changer l'amortisseur avant ( et ce n'est pas du luxe ) celui d'origine est dangereux. Si tu vois ce commentaire n'hésite pas à me demander plus de précisions.
@@TheMXpower06 hello, what is wrong with the original shock?
Can you link the tools you used please?
thanks man, that was easy to deal with...
Glad it helped
One bolt is broken and im like thinking i need a welders help, the bolts used are just so soft
On the Vsett 10+ and 11+, the decreases will likely be negligible if any.
why are there inner tubes inside of pneumatic tyres?
This rim design splits in the center for easier tire changes, which means it cannot hold air without an internal tube. Wheels designed for tubeless applications do not have anywhere for air to leak out. Hope that helps!
Hey I ordered a vsett 10 will the scooter come with all the torque specs in the Manual ?
The factory does not provide a full list of torque specs. If we develop one we will update all our customers.
@@RevRides360 well this video gives me some of the important ones thank u great video
J’ai remonté la roue et ensuite le l’étrier de frein mais la roue est bloqué sur le disque et l’étrier 😮
You guys rock!
I hope you make video changing the bearings
Are u having problems with your bearings there is a guy that make a video on a different scooter I think it pretty much the same process on a vsett
Im able to order this threw your company?
Yes, you can order tubes and tires for the VSETT 10+. Check out our parts listings on REVRides.com!
Hi, thank you for this video. What glue for screw-thread you use?

Good job👌👌 very Profesional
Thank you!
Is this guide also applicable to vsett 9+?
Yes, the VSETT 9+ will be a very similar process to replace the tube/tire.
Man awesome video!
Thank you so much! It was a fun one.
