What a great organ! Did you know that the Titanic’s sister ship, the Britannic was supposed to have a pipe organ installed at the grand staircase? Sadly, WWI broke out and the Britannic was transformed into a hospital ship and was sunk by a mine, and the organ was never installed. It still exists today in Switzerland and is still played!
Jonathan and Dr Tom Scott are both eminent: *Top notch musicians,* perfect tour guides, and yet come across as the neighbors we wish we all had and seem like the kind of young guys we would gladly call friends.
The place where the Titanic was built is interesting. 🚢 I like these videos that show the history of the place. I think it's important to show the world that you don't know yet. Thank you very much. ☺👍
I simply love watching your musical journeys, a world different from mine, with a lot of ancient history, beautiful old buildings, incredible old organs, as well as videos of the wonderful musical performances you make! Thank you both for this beautiful video! ❤❤
I recently went to Ludlow to visit the amazing St Laurence Church and it is very beautiful but I really think they should have a plaque saying ‘Jonathan Scott played here’
A very well deserved standing ovation for Jonathan after his concert.
What a fantastic cheerful smiling talented gang both of you make!
The 'Elgar' organ sounds wonderful & I can't wait to hear more!! It was great to enjoy Holywood's sights with you on your latest vlog. Thanks both! xx
A most impressive organ in both sound and looks. 3 manuals and sounds more impressive than a Cathedral organ. Love these tours Jonathan and Tom. Thank you so much for sharing this with us all. James.
Oh it was wonderful! So exciting! Thankyou sooo much from an admirer in the US!!
That's a really nice organ, and it seems it was restored very effectively. I enjoyed the little tour behind the scenes, especially the direct electric action. It's nice to see the locale as well. Tom does a good job of showing off the interesting little tidbits of all the places he visits. I don't know if I mentioned this before, but I quite like the little running jokes that appear in the vlogs on occasion, like pointing out local birds, local trees, or Jonanthan doing registration. 😆
This was a wonderful adventure! Thank you for historical background - I need to reed more about it.🤗🤗🤗💖
I enjoy all the performances but these tour videos that go behind the scenes are really interesting too. And it is a great way to get more "mileage" out of each trip. I appreciate all the hard work that goes into these videos, and of course the fabulous concerts too.
I agree with "@dogsbody", & I'll add that Jonathan brings out the very best in every instrument he plays. I had the chills several times during this video.
Absolutely wonderful presentation. Thoroughly enjoyed it! Your talent and endearing personalities make these videos a real treat. God bless!
I always enjoy your tour videos. Please continue sharing
You both are very knowledgeable and talented.I enjoy your videos each time they come out! Thank you both!
That is a "titanic" sound coming from the restored organ. Just wonderful, and I'm sure they would have loved encore after encore from you Jonathan. Tom, your videography and travel vlogs are top notch. I'd no idea there was so much there regarding the Titanic. Thanks to you both!
Thanks lads! Always a pleasure ❤️🎹🎶🎶🎹❤️
AWE,, BIG HUG. TITANIC MARVELOUS ORGAN. YOU BOTH ARE SPECIAL ON THIS EARTH I SAY SO. THANK YOU FOR SHARING
Simply fantastic! Very enjoyable and I love these videos. Y’all are amazing 😃
Thank you for a brilliant and entertaining video that highlights a few of your artistic talents. Please continue to provide content.
Sehr interessante Dokumentation. Großartige Künstler, vielen Dank!
Does this mean that the organ has become the Elgar, Thalben Ball, Scott organ? That’s a mouthful.
Always the BEST!!!
Eminent musicians are encompassed by local & musical giants. The magnetism of this grand organ, the location, & our tour guides is inescapable! Well done!👏👏Thanks for sharing the music & a touch of history.🚢❤❤🎹🎶
Absolutely brilliant vid from Holywood from you two stars of the music/double act circuit. I've heard you many times in Manchester and am gutted to have missed you in Holywood where my son lives - as will he be. How did I miss it 😕. Fingers crossed that your Stockport Wurlitzer/Piano duet can still happen. Penny
Thanks, very interesting.
A fine rebuild indeed. Interesting to view and hear Jonathan Wallace's comments. Well done on the Inaugural Concert Standing ovation Jonathan ! Enjoyed the Priory and Titanic segments. Thank you both for uploading !
WHISPERS AND THUNDER, who created that title? Wonderful. The Saint Sainz music at the end gave me shivers. ---Another great tag-along. Thanx Fellas.
I love it awesome
The Elgar is absolutely wonderful and magnificent. 🎼🙏
Brilliant! Thank you!
This reminds me of the ridiculous situation in our church when the Diocese insisted the organ parts be replaced like for like instead of being able to use modern materials taking up much less space and making other parts more accessible.
Awesome guys !
Take care both xx
Wonderful vlog as we've come to expect. Good to see you had fantastic weather; why not pack your sunspecs next time? Thank you very much!
Thank you xx
WOW amazing 😮
Brilliant 😊 nice to see you both xx
👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
Fabulous video as always guys, many thanks. A friend of ours owns a Steinway grand piano that came from the Titanic’s sister ship the Olympic, and I had the opportunity a few years ago to play it. It’s a beautifully ornate piano - sadly Steinway say it can’t be tuned to concert pitch anymore, but it was nevertheless great to see and play.
I am coming to the UK for the month of December, #1 objective is to attend one of your amazing concerts.
Do you have any dates set for the month?
Is there a long delay before hearing the sounds as the pipes are a long way from the console?
I doubt it because it’s not that big a church and in many ways it helps the organist take account of the degree of reverb present
I don't know what you played on the Elgar organ, but I hope the enigma variations
So why do they pronounce it Hollywood but spell it Holywood? Perhaps to try to avoid confusion with a certain district of Los Angeles?
