You seem to denigrate philosophy as a value-less enterprise, yet seem unable to notice that you are already embracing the philosophy of passive nihilism.

This probably sums up her relationship with the 2 male leads. Mark Hamill had so much to say about her because they were great friends with a lot of respect for one another, while Harrison Ford kept his words very straightforward, short, and yet passionate because his relationship with her was emotionally important for both of them.

I think anyone saying Kennedy is conniving while Lucas is caring is projecting a little too much into this. There's no way you know enough to make that claim: 1.) Treating Kennedy like a "soulless executive" and Lucas like a "guy who made a bad movie" is absurd. It's like just because people hate Disney's version of Star Wars, they forgot how much Lucas had shilled it for the past twenty years with re-releases, new editions, characters only in it for marketing, etc. Love Lucas or hate him, but don't pretend he can't be just as greedy with the franchise. 2.) Lucas knew Carrie when he was just a young director. These are two people who shot into superstardom together, and have lived in the same franchise's shadow for 40+ years. Two people who have seen each other at events, at shoots, at interviews etc. their whole lives. You're comparing that to a woman who met Carrie only recently, in a very business-setting, and complaining that one condolence seems less genuine than the other? No shit. Sorry, it just annoys me to see people's hatred for a thing go so deep that they have to make monsters out of everyone involved with it. Lucas is a flawed individual, who refused to take criticism or suggestions and as a result pushed out flawed prequels. Kennedy is a flawed individual, who compromised the integrity of the sequels to make safe, marketable cash cows. But neither one is a psychopathic villain.

I almost can't believe she thought it would be a good idea to eulogize a person from a teleprompter. One of those channels that teaches people how/how not to handle certain social situations could make a whole video out of that last clip in this video. First you see George slowly thinking about how to express his feelings on Carrie, his timing was off and it could have been better if he had time to script it out, but we as humans connect much more to that because we can sense when someone is speaking from the heart. Then you saw Kathleen Kennedy, and she really just read "her" "memories" of someone who died... from a teleprompter. That's gotta be one of the most spectacular displays of corporate executive phoniness and being a fake shell of a person that I've ever witnessed. All she had to do was tell the audience "I didn't to know Carrie very long unfortunately, but the few times I was on set with her..." and go on to tell about what positive energy she brought to the set... as the other actors have stated that Carrie Fisher's humor and seasoned acting experience and her personality made them all feel so comfortable and get into their roles more. You know... be your actual real self for a moment. It's not that hard, Disney's not going to come crumbling down because you had a genuine moment. Who knows, you might just happen to actually endear yourself to the public for once.

I believe that Colin making episode IX has an obligation to honor Carrie Fisher when making the movie. They should do a proper send off of Leia when it comes to the character. They should send her off by like retiring the character from the series or like sending her off on a mission or even positioning Leia to a point where she may not get screen time but she is alive and always with the audience during the movie, allowing the creaters to make a future movie about Leia that's takes place after the events in this trilogy. Killing her off via opening script because of fisher's death is just plain disrespectful to Carrie Fisher.
