    As much as I like Sunisa's gymnastics, I'd rather see this routine in the floor final than someone who builds up difficulty by doing two wolf turns in a row 😭

      The only reason why Suni was in the finals over jade is because jade got a lot of artistry deductions

      Both had 14.200 but Jade was 14.400 but 0.2 less for OOB, and with E note Suni 8.3 vs Jade 8.1....

    I’d just like to point out that this scored about the same or higher than she did at the domestic competitions, with a much sloppier routine...

    if it wasn't for her landing errors, she would have made the Floor Finals and would have likely medaled

    Fantastic tumbler with loads of potential, but the choreo has zero to do with the music here. I hope she comes back with something more cohesive. Still a small improvement over her old routine, but I bet she can get something that suits her far more.

    Should've qualified ... Would rather see her twisting DLO skills in a row instead of Sunisa's two wolf turns in a row 😂 (Just kidding Sunisa)

      @Davy Lau I think 3 is fair enough... but I doubt they'll go back to it because of Sydney and the Romania sweep.

      @Davy Lau
      Nah, not really. 2-per-country is good. Americans were (among the ones who were) pushing the rule back then when Romania/Russia were dominating long ago because they don't want a podium to be filled with gymnasts from the same country. It shouldn't stop now just to accommodate American gymnasts.
      Beside, we need diversity in floor routine and podium too. Melnikova definitely had a medal worthy performance.
      What I was saying is that Jade's execution is too low and that caused her to tie with Sunisa which gave Sunisa a spot (tie breaker rule). She should've qualified over Sunisa especially because she came to Stuttgart as a floor and vault specialist.

      The reason there is no 3 per country is that some countries are so strong that they would sweep the podium, just look at 2000 sydneys podium, they want to give atleast 2 countries per event to medal, and in my opinion thats fair , yes sometimes its really horrible when there are so many gymnasts who are deserving but that way only the best if the best would qualify

    • @lvega5606
      @lvega5606 4 роки тому +2

      I just dont understand what's wrong with 3 individual gymnasts who happen to be from the same country being able to win the medals if they earned them. The 2-per-country rule is along the same lines as "everyone being a winner" and winning a participation trophy.

      @@lvega5606 Couldn't agree more. I want the three best gymnasts in the world to get gold, silver and bronze on each apparatus and I don't give a damn about where they're from. Why should I? To know that even one medal was earned because a BETTER athlete wasn't allowed to compete due to his/her passport is just unbearable.

      @DIY and Much More 1) Grow up. I didn't say anything ugly. This is a running commentary regarding Jade.
      2) EVERY. SINGLE. GIRL. stepping out on that floor is under the EXACT SAME amount of pressure and you don't see the vast majority of them just going through the motions without an iota of EMOTION. It's ARTISTIC GYMNASTICS and ARTISTIC demands emotion. I don't care if she decided to cry through the whole thing instead of smiling. It would at least show she gives a crap instead of being a robot. Floor is the place she is supposed to shine and show off WHO she is and she doesn't. It's the same deadpan every time and at this level she needs to woman up and get with the program. If that isn't her personality then she needs to ACT like it is otherwise she isn't complete.
      3) YOU have no idea what is in her head. YOU have no idea if she is doing it because a) she LOVES it or b) her father pushes her and she doesn't want to disappoint him or c) she just happens to be really good at it so she continues because she doesn't have anything else or d) she has trained for so long now that if she gave it up now it would feel like a waste. There are a multitude of reasons why a person continues doing something they hate at a high level. There have been many high performance elite athletes that HATED what they were doing for every single one of the reasons above and the thing they all have in common is that deadpan face. Is it just a matter of her lacking confidence? Could be... but it begs the question why that is still an issue when she is nineteen years old and seasoned.
      4) Is she talented? Absolutely. I didn't say she wasn't. But it takes MORE than talent to be the best and she just doesn't have the thing that will push her over that hump. If she REALLY, REALLY wanted it knowing that this is the thing she lacks she and her father would sit down and do something about it, but they don't. If HE wanted this for his daughter more than for himself HE would step aside and find her a coach that could get what she needs out of her but he doesn't.

      @DIY and Much More Freedom of speech, kiddo. I am free to express my opinion if I choose to whether you like it or not. How do you know I can't do it better? For all you know I could be smiley Simone Biles under a pseudonym and who decidedly CAN do it better. Why is your only defense to say "Shut Up" instead of pointing out where I could be wrong? Is it because you're 12 or because I'm right and there is nothing TO defend? Case in point, Jade has the potential to be a better gymnast than Simone, but until she figures out how to do it with a personality, it won't happen.

      @@eldinlawrence9808 Yea because someone saying she looks like she doesn't give a crap is a constructive criticism 🤦

      @@MultiChantal22 She might love the sport, but the whole point is she needs to give more energy to the artistry. Her acrobatics can be however difficult, but if the routine lacks the dance elements, it becomes a drag to watch. So, since you don't understand, the constructive criticism people are giving her is to be more passionate. Don't just focus on the acrobatics, but the artistry too.
