I saw her at the Fillmore East in 1969. She wore an amazing while lame top and bell-bottoms. But, oh, that voice! Such power! She was a musical force to be reckoned with.
OH MY! Fillmore East 1969! The matriarch of the 60's! What a real golden memory! God Bless You!!!! I miss her so much that I get weepy when I hear her sing, & I can't help it...

She felt every note, every beat of the drum. And every feeling of the words. God I loved experiencing her. Brings tears to my eyes in 2020--I'm 69 and I can see her performance at Woodstock like it was right NOW!!!

Wonder if ROK. Erickson , of 13th floor elevators, had any influence on Janis Joplin? And, what concert was this and where? Name of tune, because it's a good rock an roll blues song; prior her singing "Piece of my Heart."
I'm 66 and have been a life long fan of Janis! She was and is my girl,I SO wish I'd had the chance to meet her. Her voice is do moving and is unequaled today by anyone. She was a one and only and I really loved listening to her sing.
That was really cool how everyone got up on stage and danced with Janis. There were no barriers there just people communicated with peace love and acceptance. Not to mention the love of great music. Also the great respect and admiration for the one singing.

She it was unbelievable. Try to listen Nina Simone. She was great woman too. Beautiful women❤
Mon fils, tu as commis 5 fautes.
I couldn’t agree more Linda !
I’m 65 and I was just starting to love her when I learned she was already gone. Just like Steve Ray Vaughn. 🙁🎸But I still love and listen to them both.
2024! Still Lovin to jam on some Joplin! There have been many to try and many ok all have failed to sing Janis Joplin! ❤ RIP Angel
I remember when I first heard Janis Joplin in 1968. No one like her ever. In a class of her own.
Lucky you!

s.m Wow, you have a history of seeing Janis Joplin. It's been a long time, and I haven't been born yet, now I am 48 years. It's amazing because you're still here today. I hope you are still healthy and that you are old enough now. And how old are you now.
... yup
... Amy Winehouse could've been so much better
I saw her at the Fillmore East in 1969. She wore an amazing while lame top and bell-bottoms. But, oh, that voice! Such power! She was a musical force to be reckoned with.
I was there. .never wanted it to end.
Fillmore East 1969
OH MY! Fillmore East 1969! The matriarch of the 60's! What a real golden memory! God Bless You!!!! I miss her so much that I get weepy when I hear her sing, & I can't help it...
You saw HISTORY HAPPENING!
You're so blessed to have seen her, Elaine. I always wanted to but was only 12 or so when she did this concert. Still love her energy and voice. At least now I'm sure she's met Billie Holiday and the blues greats who went before her...
I was 70 in April...who ME??? I was lucky enough to see Janis live ...SO SO GOOD...what brilliant times..though you never realise how good till theyve gone! And I love her still. No one can touch her... an never think of her without missing a heartbeat ....
She gave it her all! Awesome! Enjoyed every moment deeply 😊
One of the best artist ever, her heart and soul lives on,
Hi there.. how are you doing?
Absolutely
@@theresaleblanc8961 That's lovely to know.. my pleasure meeting you here.. tell me where are you from?
1969 Woodstock was the turning point of music! Renaissance!!
She felt every note, every beat of the drum. And every feeling of the words. God I loved experiencing her. Brings tears to my eyes in 2020--I'm 69 and I can see her performance at Woodstock like it was right NOW!!!
What an Artist
What a Broad!
So did we .
I'm 60. Got given radically serious brain injury by Goldman Sachs Gorter Family Foundation so after waking covered in mould from six months unconcious in a caravan wet bed I survive on food powder and creek water like a bottle fed baby and shuffle from bed to couch, begging for help. Last colonial private prison island controlled by a missionary. Aotea aotearoa, great barrier island new Zealand
That was probably the h, right?
IF YOUR DOING HERION WHAT THE FUCK ELSE WOULD YOU FEEL !!!!!!!!! SHE NEVER COULD SING!!!!
SHE WAS DEFINITLY A FLOWER CHILD AND HER STYLE OF MUSIC WAS ALL HER THERE'LL NEVER BE ANOTHER
NEVER!!!!👥✌️🌟😃😃🌟FROM HER SOUL TO OURS✌️✌️✌️✌️😃🌟✌️
Wonder if ROK. Erickson , of 13th floor elevators, had any influence on Janis Joplin? And, what concert was this and where? Name of tune, because it's a good rock an roll blues song; prior her singing "Piece of my Heart."

My brother got me to listen to her "cheap thrills" album. What a voice. I still listen to it to this day.
She was the only one Janis Joplin and there will never be any more no more

There were many great groups when I was young, Janice was unique , only one Janice Joplin. 👍
Nothing can come or be close to Jannis Joplin. What a time period to thrown into! You youngins missed an interesting time: the SIXTIES!
That was really cool how everyone got up on stage and danced with Janis. There were no barriers there just people communicated with peace love and acceptance. Not to mention the love of great music. Also the great respect and admiration for the one singing.

She played Hippie Hill lin Houston. Back then it was not yet Houston though. Saw a lot of free concerts there ...people dressed in body paint ....it was a great time even though the conflict stayed on our minds you see we thought our brothers and friends would come home in a box so we celebrated life constantly

Amazing band members and of course the queen herself-one of the most unique vocalists hands down. Also, such a humble and intelligent person.

I'm 60 years old and I used to listen to her music when I was younger. She's great
Pure class there’ll never be another like her for sure..
Sad such a short life
Her voice is soo powerful, my all time favorite female vocalist ❤❤❤
Ten years old! Still love rocknroll!🤪🤪🤪🤪 N that was 51 yrs ago! I remember all the music of the era! For a kid whose only hideaway was music! Rocknroll made me smile! It still does! Through the bad times and the good!😎😎😎😎😎😎😎🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
