How To Setup Google Domains Email Forwarding (email alias tutorial)

- Learn how to create an email alias address that forwards your Google Domains email to your personal inbox (in this case, Gmail). Not only will you be able to receive email to an address with your custom domain (i.e. you@example.com), but you'll also be able to send mail from that address as well. Best of all, this is free for up to 100 email aliases!

Hi, it’s says ‘App Name’ .. what should we put there? It no longer has 2 options.
This video is a lifesaver! I especially appreciate that you showed us every single step including the parts that didn't work out at first, such as the temporary error message and the send button that didn't work when you tried to send the test email.
Some other UA-camr would have edited those parts, and leave us wondering what we did wrong when we get to that point.

I've been struggling to get through the second step of the alias email setup for so long, I didn't know I had to set up the password using Google App Password but this video came to my rescue. Thank you so much, all your steps definitely helped a lot!

Worked perfectly. I've been banging my head on a desk for days trying to get this to work and ultimately the problem was it wasn't working without the 2FA and app passwords.

Man I watched 5/6 videos and spent my whole day on the same topic and still couldn't manage to set up sending email from my alias address. You finally showed exactly how it is done! Cheers man! I was so frustrated I was about to contact Google customer service, no kidding

To set up the app password I had to scroll to the bottom of the 2-Step Verification settings.

Dude, this is awesome. There was me paying $60 or whatever it was a year for G-Suite just so I could have an info@domain e-mail because I was having no joy elsewhere. Going to get rid of Wix when it's due for renewal, same with G-Suite; and run the site on AWS Amplify and the e-mail forwarding after transferring to Google Domains. Subscribed! :)

I found this tutorial after trying another one at first. I had all type of issues until I followed the instructions here. Great information. It's a real time illustration and most definitely up to date info.
