I'm putting a high ram on my pickup. Just went through the cutting away of manifold. It misses me off too. Now my throttle body is almost touching the belt. Now I am waiting for a spacer. Holley aren't the same as they were 25 years ago
I've seen a few of your videos. I started watching this series when you were fitting the heads and stayed tuned when you mentioned the hi-ram. I've been gathering parts for a completely new engine. The only thing between the fenderwells and between firewall and grill will be the windshield wiper motors and washer fluid tank, small portion of the harness, the timing cover and tensioner. The rest will be new. I started gathering new parts in '18. My dad's last wish for him and I was to get my '90 foxbody (Sleipnir) back to the track and the nightly drives in "Mexico." I swore to him that I would change my path. I did. I traded one addiction for another. Just before he past. Every penny spent on the former addiction went to fulfill that last dream of his. Like I said I'm nearly there. I'm going with hi-ram. I got the cast upper and a new Champion Cobra R fiberglass hood. I'm running a new Dart SHP 351w block and have concerns over clearance as well. Fortunately, I read some of your comments from this series and learned that I can gain a little clearance via the motor mounts. I plan to do some video coverage of the build to record my own progress. I take my hat off to you, I admire individuals that admit they are human just as myself. I troubleshoot and repair machines in a factory and I make mistakes to this day. Im just getting better at correcting them quickly or hiding them altogether. But I never compromise the safe operation of that machine nor will any repair compromise quality or speed of production. But, at times, you must do what you must when parts do not fit properly for one reason or another. There are benefits from these scenarios. One benefit gained is from learning or honing skills. hey man whats up! first off thank you so much for this comment! hearing stories like yours is honestly what makes doing this so worth it. I’m so happy the videos have helped you out even if its in a small way. and your build sounds like its going to be bad ass man!!! stoked for you! stay strong and see it through, all the hard work will pay off in the end.. thanks again for the support man, good luck with the build 🤘🏼
@jovanmichaels I had Flowtech Induction, out of Rhode Island cut a set of TFS High Port heads and a billet cam to sap every last bit of horsepower. One of my goals was to NOT put anything on credit cards. The only time I folded on that goal was for the hood. If I could have found a supplier that carried fiberglass hoods that would have allowed a layaway plan, I would have gone that route. Layaway and "pay-in-four" plans made this pool of parts so much easier to attain. I do have a small list of online parts suppliers that will accept layaway plans for expensive items. As a matter of fact, I paid for my new block and forged rotating assembly using a layaway plan. If you are interested, I can send you my list. I am not trying to make money or get discounts from this info. It may help other people like you, and I manage the financing hurdles we encounter. (Not sure of youtube rules on that though??) I will continue to watch your videos, and hopefully, I'll get some of my own up and mention what I've learned on your channel.
yeah mans thats awesome.. credit cards and payment plans have definitely helped make this build possible lol sucks, but it is what it is! And yeah buddy! film the process, it gets to be alot sometimes, but well worth it 🤘🏼
I never imagined your build going out of control like this, but Man!! Its sick , congratulations on dreaming big. And building big! Keep up the entertaining content
I remember when you pick up Mrs Parker that intake is fire you need to put Mrs PARKER on the front of the intake. Keep up the great work. And for any millionaire's out there help this man out
Awesomeness. I said id rather have the forward facing manifold, but the more i look at this, i might like this more. Basically looking to keep the intake away from the heat, and easy access to the valve covers. Looks great❤️👌🏾😎👍🏾👍🏾
I loved that intake also, bought it and returned it. Holley told me the 2 distributors they make for it will not work with the stock 88 Mustang ECU. They said I would have to buy the Holley ECU. I hope that Holley tech was wrong and you don’t run into any problems. I have a Systemax 2 intake being ported.
i think the cast has more of a downward angle i believe.. that would give more clearance between the hood and throttle body. Mine is a very tight fit 🤘🏼
I was looking into this intake manifold and seems like only a certain distributor goes with this setup which is a Holley efi dual sync distributor and what kind of injectors can you use for those Holley fuel rails? Nice build by the way. Looks really nice 👍
I remember when I was matching you part for part now I see all my cart getting slapped on your ride ! I’m happy for you bro I’ll be there soon a single father of four kiddos definitely slows you down but I love them to the moon : so far my stock 302 has gone 11s on just 8psi with chines 17in tires .
@@JovanMichaels hell yea I did mine on stock heads I’ll probably make a video or some about it. let me know how yours is going did you install a terminator x yet
That lower looks good, you'd think they would put a disclaimer about needing to adjust fitment on a build by build basis. One thing I'd be upset about are the welds on that upper box. They're uneven and inconsistent. I would have gone for the molded upper.
congrats on getting the Holly hi ram set up i also bought one i had built and mocked up on the engine stand i set mine into place and everthing fit like a glove like it should with no alignment issues the heads im using is a set of trick flows in your case having to cut the top like that im not real sure if doing so is the way Holly recommends . when you did your mock up did you have the end gaskets in place ? im thinking if the gaskets are missing it allows the manifold to drop down further than where it actually fits and would cause it to hit like yours was never the less as long as you mate up area fits proper you should be good to go . Also the distributor for the high ram youll need the dual sink set up according to holly what they told me is no other distributor fits it . i ended up buying the super sniper system along with the msd style ign box and hyper spark and the pro dash as much i spent with them i almost feel like im a share holder geeze spendy stuff lol.... also i think with your build i dont think using the isc valve will work on a boosted application you might research it . anyways good luck with your build Bill in Nevada
Those look like Anderson valve covers, if they are I hope they don’t leak like mine do. I’ve had ongoing issues with the bolt holes being too big and having oil come up through the holes themselves, nothing a little bit of rtv can’t help lol.
@@JovanMichaels thanks for the response. Just picked up a HiRam lower and molded upper for a 351W. I'll need at least an extra 1.3 inches of clearance from the deck height increase. Was hoping to keep the cowl at 2.5-3". Smaller the better.
That's exactly what it is You need to modify 99 percent of your build that way You will know exactly what went wrong or give You the satisfaction that You did it Yourself ! Best Wishes and Good Luck Thanks for the update . 🇺🇲🇵🇷🦊👍
Nice vid bro looking good I'd try contacting Holly for a few of them o- ring style gaskets can't just run down to the parts store if you ever need them haha just saying 😁👍 good luck bro
Meziere water pump next? Lol. That intake looks mean! Did you already sale the fuel rails? I’ll be honest when you cut the front off the fox I thought you fucked it up. I thought for sure it was never going to be right again and your welding didn’t help things lol. Glad to report that I was wrong. I honestly thought that was the end of this project.
Bro those intake are a grand. You shouldn't have to modify nothing. That's just how it is. And it shouldn't be. Holley needs to put a little more machine work into it.
i think it also widely depends on your setup as well… people with different heads may have different results.. but companies should account for that.. oh well lol
The lower manifold didnt cover my lifter valley all the way on my Dart block. They said its an on-going issue that are trying to fix … Pretty decent size gap that i wouldnt be able to seal even with some goup. Holley told me to make a plate an modify it myself … wasnt that bad or even hard at all to fix, but that also meens it shouldn’t be that hard for them either.
Nice build I’m on the fence with my 95 either going 347 , or BBC or sbc or the all easy LS maybe LT I looked into the mutt swap aka coyote $$$$$$$$$$$ stupid $$$$$$ why when I could go almost twice as fast with a BBC I have been building /street racing and trac since mid 90s have turbocharged everything from Mazda’s 12a & 13b to billet BBC AND EVERYTHING INBETWEEN. These days everyone is looking for a handout, back in the day we worked full time jobs and still built our cars, now people want to stay home and do youtube and try to live off of it. So sad, your trying to guilt people into giving you money because they do work hard and have a F-250.
It’s going to take some serious Ford tax aka wtf are Ford parts so damn expensive.. then to hand a gap to a ls with just a cam and boost is going to be a task you might not want to take on not only that give a ls the same build heads cam rotating assem depending on year cause they handle 1000 on stock rotating assembly.why don’t you move the turbo more forward get the down pipe out of the way flip the intake upper around and plumb the intake on the coldest side of engine bay giving you more toom
Dude stay on topic and quit talking so much. People might be inclined to send you some financial love if you would spare them the labor pains and give them the baby already good luck, I'm out

rvt fixes everything lol

thanks buddy.. holley.com
Bra that High Ram looks CRRRRAZZZYYYYYY!!!!!! I love it bro. Looks great. Thank you for the content. Help out people. Send some money folks!!!!!!!!!!
yeah man it looks insane lol cant wait to see it next to the turbo kit .. thank you for the support man 🤘🏼
Which throttle body did you buy? Ford accufab? Bolt straight to th Holley?
90mm accufab
Hey man, what sized cowl did you end up with after installing this manifold?
i had a 4” cowl before i installed the manifold.. plenty of clearance

Anything Fabed today is scary, I got a Weiand oil pan and leaked at the welds so now I got liquid steel on a brand new pan
yeah that sucks.. but fab stuff looks so good tho
What vehicle and year did you get your 351w from?
Could you see down the lower intake at the port alignment with the heads? Just curious if it was pretty.
Good job !
What tire and wheel sizes / offset are you running. ?
im not 100% sure as i bought them used without this information.. only thing i can tell you for sure it that they’re 15’s and tire is a 295

not a bad idea. thanks for the information
you should look into haggerty insurance
i saved a bunch of money by switching to geico
