one thing I like in that mission is that they show you that life is going on, while you doing other things... no that was kind of what John Lennon once said 😁 The thing that I mean is, that there are happening some small things which have nothing to do with the mission like the trading group of federation/klingon ships. I even think the Romulans were fighting it. The one thing I don't like in that mission is the introduction of the wedge, and that they even tell you to use it to take over enemy stuff... Really? Do the Borg need a new special ship to take over enemy ships and stations? And what happens there: do the wedges beam over drone-marines that gunfight one by one... but again very funny commentary. "There's no greater skill than overkill" became my maxime when playing RTS Games, too. 😁
I think part of the reason the Borg cube seems so powerful in this mission is because the Federation ships are much weaker than they normally are (weaker hulls, if I remember this map correctly).
Can anyone tell me what on earth it means by build wedges, please? I've cleared-out the map and ticked-off the other objectives, but can't finish the level.
I remember thinking how jarringly different the voice over of the Borg in Armada 2 was to the voice overs in the shows. Not exactly bad, but unremarkable.
it feels like someone spoke into a voice changer. the Armada 1 borg voicelines sound like someone repeated their lines in different pitches to really sound like a collective. also the armada 1 borg music feels perfect. the armada 2 borg music doesn't sound right.
Best part of this game was taking over enemy ships and tech trees.
I wish a 3rd game was made
There is, it's just a mod
You can use VirtualBox to get Windows 10 to run Windows XP. Star Trek Armada 2 will not run in compatibility mode with Windows 10.
@@robertball6301 Ok, thanks

A really nice thing about the Borg campaign is that we see a return of the 'Steels everything that isn't nailed down' Boomer.

Wedges are a basic ship type you can build with your ship yard. They're mostly useless but that's how to build them
Sisko designed the Defiant
And if it's nailed down steal what parts of it you can :)
