The last fence was so unlucky. Your rhythm, the lovely canter, no trotting, seeing great strides. ALL of that is night and day from the start of the,season. I think you should chalk this up as a,success overall.......on to next season and great things!!
Beautiful dressage test, her way of going has improved so much and her canter transitions were amazing! It was a very strange test, well done for remembering it!
You and Affie are completely different from springtime! So much better and more forward, you were riding so determined and she was eating it up. Think of the big picture all winter, and go out and school more book jumps😂.
Han, Hannah! You looked magnificent together. You’ve come so very far. You’re her person and she’s your pony. You have many more memories to be made. Your tenacity and love for the mare is incredible. You are brave and resilient, and a lovely rider. Bloomin’ good on you ❤
I love seeing your friendship with Meg on your vlogs. It is so wholesome and encouraging (even if you both take the piss out of each other on the regular) -- I love love love seeing strong friendships, and the support through the whole thing, thank you for sharing.
I know its hard but I try and view run outs, stops, refusals, fails, etc., as "atleast my horse is being honest" it gives me something to work on. Plus I don't know if it's just me but I'd rather a refusal, or a run out in this case, rather then my horse try to jump it unconfidently and get herself or us hurt. Either way Han, run out or not you did beautifully for your last event of the season, can't wait to see you back at it next year!

Love Meg’s advice😂❤️. Watching your journey with Affie has been amazing! Do you know where on course you should be at what time to make optimum time, that helps then you just have to check at those spots to know if you are going to fast or to slow. You have come SO FAR and it has been inspiring to watch!!! Way to go!!! Look forward to you and Affies progress over the winter and next year💕
Don't beat yourself up. You have done so well. Don't forget affie is special. You are lucky you can go places most pssm horses cannot be trailered due to the vibrations upsetting their tummies and muscles. I have to give mine painkillers before he is transported. Even then it takes days for him to settle enough to ride. So I can't compete at all. Enjoy the ride while you still can. Just remember things that normal horses get used to pssm horses sometimes get brain overload. They will sometimes be fantastic and other times not. You will never know. I just think you are brilliant not giving up on her. Would be so nice if you could do a vlog on living with pssm2 horses. It is really not so simple as you make out. Maybe u avoid explaining. Or don't feel confident enough. Believe me someone who has a pssm horse is more than qualified to explain the ups and downs. The laughter and the tears. You really are brilliant.❤❤❤❤

Honestly, she looked FABULOUS on cross country. She was jumping better than I've ever seen her. That was a killer last fence (I kinda spooked at it when you were walking it LOL) and you can't really blame her. In a year she'll have seen more weird fences and won't look at it, but for now, that was a great result! CONGRATS!!!

That last fence was like something you see at really high levels, just bigger. Very spooky for your first season! I hope to see lots of arena eventing from you two over the winter, and maybe some pure dressage? If you're going to write times on your arm, make sure they are dark and super legible so you can see them at a glance.
We humans muck ourselves up! Think what our poor horses put up with, and they just give us that knowing look and say.... Where food, I'm not doing this without it!! 🥕🍏🥕🍎🥕👍😂 Us girls really need to brain train! We're not men, we have multiple thoughts at once! I've spent years getting systems etc in place to stop the chaos! Love all your vlogs! Will love anything!
I find the time allowance interesting. You were definitely moving, but not a fast gallop, and yet you were 40 secs fast? Did other riders trot round to be on time? That last fence.....uurgh! Stop looking at the watch. Still, for a first season you both did great. Here's to a healthy winter and a successful 2025 season.
