Thanks, mayby yor know, does the rerouting on edge 830 or edge explore 2 works same way? Or it will be telling you to make a u-turn all time?

Dit was precies de video waar ik naar op zoek was, dank! Jammer dat Garmin nog steeds groot fan is van U-bochten. Uit verschillende video's begrepen dat de navigatie wel verbeterd was, maar met verbeterd wordt vooral sneller bedoeld denk ik. Ik denk dat de Wahoo gelijk de 'nieuwe' route had voorgesteld i.p.v. eerst een U-bocht te maken.

Also the video I’ve been searching ages for. Finally I can see re-routing in action.
I think the initial u-turn is to account for people who took a wrong turn and would want to go back to the route. But I’m pleased to see within a minute it assumes you want to stick to the new route and calculates a new one for you.
In contrast to my 520+ which will ask you to u-turn forever until you go back to your route.

Ja, precies, dit is exact wat ik wilde weten. Ik heb een velomobiel en wat ik nogal eens tegenkom is dat ik door fietsnavigatie door hekjes word gestuurd waar ik niet doorheen pas. Ik zoek dan zelf een andere route en wil dat hij het weer opnieuw berekent. Zo te zien is dat exact wat de 1040 doet. Veel andere systemen hebben een track aangemaakt waar je zelf naar terug moet navigeren. Komt meestal wel goed, maar dit is zoveel fijner!

My Edge 1040 Solar just crashes. :) When it does work, it does not really bother updating the gradient and will show that I am decsending minus 12% half way up the hill. Garmin is really on top of its game with Edge series. -_- Epix 2 does everything well despite being much smaller.

What about finding a place or business? I have a cyclo 210 and if I don't know the address or postcode it's pretty useless. If I'm out and about and my mobile phone battery dies there is no way to find my way to another point of interest

Dank voor je review. Heb de 1040 solar sinds kort. Heb je tips wanneer je een route hebt geupload en hem andersom volgt, ik blijf piepjes en foutmeldingen krijgen terwijl ik hem alleen andersom zou willen volgen. Bvb dank groet!
