I've been to both Singapore and Kuala Lumpur - loved both cities. Singapore is modern and very beautiful but KL has a lot more to offer. I prefer KL over Singapore overall
Singapore and KL are both superb However, imo KL is having the advantage of being in Malaysia means gateway to much more wonderful places like Melaka, Perhentian islands, Taman Negara etc
kgdangar2 We are actually heading back to Kuala Lumpur for a month soon, we want to plan a little 4 day trip somewhere in Malaysia, any recommendations?
Always a Friday I would recommend you to go to Langkawi. It is a great place for leisure. Nice beach at Chenang, beautiful view all the way to the top of a mountain by cable car to say a few. If you are more to nature/adventurous you might go to; Taman Negara(can feel the real ambiance in the dense jungle) Redang Island(super clear water with white sandy beaches) Or Fraser Hill (cool and chilly mountainous area. Good for hiking and trekking)
I love these travel review videos! I'm not surprised that Singapore accommodation was expensive. My collegeue just came back after living there for a year and said it's far more expensive than London. I am also always surprised how awesome public transport is in Asia.
I am a sgporean and i gotta agree dat spore is kinda boring and u gotta wait for a few years before they could upgrade. So due to dat, my sneaky vacay would be neighboring countries which the exchange rate is way cheaper. Malaysia ride up or ferry to batam. Both countries can make u shop till u drop... Splurge and enjoy all day and all night. U guys shld try
It depends on what you going to do as a tourist... Singapore has fantastic architecture, amazing skyline... it's the jewel of SE Asia....And how can anyone say Batam is better? lol Have you been to Batam yourself?. lol
Always a Friday - I think you guys missed out on the alcohol, in particular beer, in Singapore. Not sure about Malaysia. If you have a beer at one of those housing estate hawker centers, the beer there are fairly competitive in prices with the UK. For example, a bottle of (70cl ??) Tiger beer, depending on which hawker center, is about SGD 5 or 5.50 per bottle - if memory serves (maybe a bit more ??) I would say roughly this is about GBP 2.50 to 3.00 per 70cl bottle and it's chilled from the fridge. Just sit at a table in one of these hawker centers and a Tiger lady will come round to take and deliver your order. I usually do this to pass the night away with local friends when I visit there for some weeks after exhausting places to visit.
people in KL still respect foreigners especially white people...expat places is everywhere like Petaling Jaya,Bangsar...Damansara....Mont Kiara ...luxury accommodation and fine dining restaurant is still affordable range...most expats have high quality living here(have a car..house and live in best residential area near suburban KL )
Guys just put it this way. If u live n work in singapore u'll earn an average income of $3000 a month which is around $2500usd n in malaysia you'll earn also average 3000rm which is 800usd. How much do u have left after paying for bills n meals since its quite expensive too in KL. But here if u save enuf u not only can travel to malaysia weekly but around the world. So thats my answer
Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought M'sia has the bumiputra policy where the "people of the land" (i.e., Malays) get more privileges than the other races (i.e., Indians, Chinese, Eurasians)? No?
Milgram07 Yes you are right. Malaysia's Constitution provides special position for the natives (bumiputera) which includes not only the Malays but also Siamese, Bateq, Jahai, Kensiu, Semai, Temiar, Chewong, Jahut, Mah Meri, Jakun, Semelai, Temuan, Seletar, Iban, Bidayuh, Kenyah, Kayan, Punan, Penan, Bekitan, Kajang, Murut, Bisayah, Kelabit, Lun Bawang, Kedayan, Dusun, Kadazan, Bajau, Suluk, Sama, Iranun, Rungus, Tidung, Cocos, Lotud, Maragang, Orang Sungai, Bonggi, Bajau, Ubian and hundreds of others that I myself as Malaysian don't really know their name unless I google them - they are all natives of Malaysia and given special position under Malaysia's Constitution.
i think you are a little off the mark when talking about the price of alcohol . Yes In singapore it really is ridiculous to drink in bars , the best advise is to buy a bottle of spirits from the duty free in singapore airport , for example get a litre of beefeater gin for about $20 singapore dollars which is about £10 ( far cheaper than the Uk to be honest ) , and make it last! However i wouldnt say kuala lumpar is extremely expensive to drink , only that alcohol is expensive in comparison to everything else in Malaysia . You can get a drink of most types of alcohol for about £4 -£5 in bars , even cocktails maybe only £6 - £7 , which is what you would expect to pay in britain , and if you were in london or the south you would pay even more. Buy booze from a supermarket and your talking £1 - £2 which is completely affordable for most westerners. If you are willing to pay British prices in a country that is otherwise a bargain for every other product , then you can have a drink in kaula lumpar with out breaking the bank.
Cheap alcohol den u gotta go cambodia. Based on sgd price u can get 2 bottles of beer for sgd$1. If u ride or drive then u can try heading to cambodia frm malaysia-thailand-cambodia. Me and husband ride there it took us 3 days from sg.. For another cheap alcohol will be langkawi(duty free island)
Singapore is very small but beautiful, Malaysia is little bit small, but is not as beautiful as Singapore but more historic, Singapore spent few weeks to travel, Malaysia spent few months to travel longer than singapore, Singapore has Marina Bay Sands and Malaysia has Petronas Tower, both are same unique, Malaysia has KL, Johor Bahru, Kelantan, Kota Kinabalu, Putrajaya, Penang, Melaka, Tioman, and much more, Singapore has only Singapore but has a same level as those Malaysian cities, both countries has a sophisticated mrt, both Countries are British colonies and both Countries has same level as Indonesia and Thailand. The point is Malaysia and Singapore is beautiful, futuristic, and green, i love both country and i hope i had a holiday in Singapore or Malaysia. Greetings from Indonesia (sorry if i have a broken english) I Love Malaysia Singapore 😃😃😃

KL n Singapore are both superb cities n d best in Asean, but if u feel bored then come to KL..
True, we love both!
Singapore is crazy expensive, no point of spending more time there and its small too.
Plus, Malaysia has more places to see while Singapore has very little.
We agree, Singapore is great to spend a few days, but we could spend months in Malaysia!
Aizat Shamsuddin singapore chinise racist..better in malaysian..too many better place

For cheap alcohol in Malaysia..only in duty free islands eg Langkawi Island and Tioman Island. RM 3 per can of beer.
Oh yes, we love Langkawi!

Anyone who says there's nothing in Singapore need to have large portions of their brains examined.... Honestly.
Singapore is so MUCH BETTER than kl. So is Bangkok.
@@ongpradeeep8715 ok
Nice review but I believe that hotels in KL are much cheaper than Singapore contradictory to what has been mentioned at 2:47 otherwise good review
yea I think they messed up
If you are from developed countries..singapore will feel very familiar and boring..
We still loved Singapore, it was such a cool place to explore!
Should'nt compare Singapore and Malaysia.... but Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.... both of it are cities
They should and thanks to them coz now I know I might only waste time to go Malaysia. Thanks to you guys 😉
I prefer Bali and Bagan, Myanmar
We love Bagan also! Thanks for watching!

“I don’t really have a pick”

Love your honesty girl...
Tourist who visit malaysia should visit places like sabah, serawak etc for natural wonders for KL cant be compared to Sg's modernism.
The two dislike must be a Malaysian enemies...or maybe they are kind of "snake in the grass"...
Haha yes! Must be! Thanks for watching and commenting
Singapore is more advance and better than Malaysia
tay lh - the people in Singapore are nastier. The culture and values of Malaysians are better than Singaporeans.
very very agreed with u bro alexandre !!
Alexandre Jorge There are many reports of fathers sleeping with daughters in Malaysia! Hmmm.... good culture and values indeed!
yep..that's our favorite past time, we just couldn't help ourselves..he.he..
+Michael Chai hehehe.. and lot of people from singapore buy item from jb.. hahaha whtf with that??
There is no comparison between the two cities:
Singapore 100/100
Kuala Lumpur 37/100
