I'm Dr. Frita and welcome to this daily six-part series on Wendy Williams Health. Be sure to subscribe and to hit the notification bell so you know when I drop each part of the series. In light of the docuseries, where is Wendy Williams? She and her family have revealed many of the physical illnesses that Wendy Williams is living with and that has created a lot of questions.
So in this series, I'm going to break down some of the illnesses, and today for part one we're talking about lymphedema Wendy Williams feet.
So Wendy has been talking about her lymphedema for years. You'll notice back on the Wendy show she started wearing flat shoes and now she's been pulling off her shoes on interviews on Zoom when people go over to her house in the docuseries, when Angela, formerly known as Black Chyna went to her house, she was quick to pull off her shoes to show us her feet, and what you'll notice is that her feet have the signs of lymphedema.
So you might be thinking, what in the world is the lymphatic system? You may think you have no idea, but you do. You know how if you ever get sick, like if you get a cold or a sore throat, you get swollen glands. These bean-shaped tissues right here like in your neck, or maybe even you've had some under your arms or you feel like a swelling or like a little bean-shaped object, or even in your groin if you've ever had inflammation, you feel a little swollen, sometimes tender or painful bean shaped tissues. Well, those are lymph nodes and those are part of your lymphatic system. The lymphatic system is a network of tissues, organs, and tubes that help to drain lymph and send it back into the main bloodstream.
So lymph nodes are part of the lymphatic system as well as lymph vessels, which are like the tubes that connect the lymph nodes. When you get a blockage or some type of a damage to this lymphatic system, then that lymph is no longer able to be properly drained, and so you get a buildup in the soft tissues and you get swelling like what you see in Wendy's feet. Well, lymph is a colorless fluid that is protein rich and it's full of white blood cells like your T cells, your B cells that help to fight infection. And so when this lymph is going through your lymph vessels, it gets filtered by your lymph nodes and they contain these white blood cells that help to fight infection and even help to fight cancer. So it's really an important part of your immune system. Primary lymphedema really is not all that common about one person is affected out of every 8,000 worldwide, and women tend to be affected more often than men.

I would think that drinking alcohol would probably make the lymphedema worse.
My dad was an alcoholic for decades. He has it too.

Thank you Dr. Frita for this series. I have worked with elderly clients for years and I noticed a cognitive decline in Wendy. I knew something was wrong with her and suspect dementia but hoping my guess was wrong.
This is very informative and learning about her lymphedema was eye opening.

Elderly?!?!? Wendy Williams may be sick in her body and cognitive functions declining but it has nothing to do with her age!
I am a professor in the holistic field I believe she can come out of this. But she has to work with the doctors. This might be a new field that God is taken her through. It would help a lot of people.
Exactly as Holistic medicine has helped a lot of people and she has to stay the course and stop drinking

@@akoo9904 Thank you. For one charging her diet. 2 listening to her doctors. We as blacks feel that we know everything more than doctors. And then using God's medicine. Meaning if her doctors tell her to take her medications 5 times a day she prays 5 times a day. She can repeat the bible verse I am the Lord that health thee. By your stripes, I am healed. I did it in Meditation. 3 Stay out of the spotlight. If she does those 3 things I promise she will get better. But she has to listen. I have faith. But does she have faith?

@@Mythoughtonpoliticaltopics Colonial Medical industry doesn't heal... they medicate. She needs a great holistic doctor. Wendy can reverse and heal this issue... Wendy can do a water and green juice fast for 30 days, parasite cleans, colon cleans, apply castor oil with Turpentine on the foot and leggs, Tapping, and an emotional cleans. She needs to be somewhere healthy and organic... and sit in the sun, swim in the ocean, and meditate. Forgive Kevin and love herself. You can reverse dementia as well... she needs serious hydration... H3O would be the best hydration. Checkout, Dr. Jennifer Daniels, Yahki, and Black holistic healer... since, we invented natural healing. Thank you Imhotep. You can only heal via your mind. The mind is so so powerful. If you don't think you can't heal, you won't.
Lymphedema is a bad condition, because treatments are so limited in efficacy. Wish there was more that could be done to fix this
I think her breast implants caused it. Lymphedema is swelling of the lymphatic system /lymph nodes and can be linked to breast implant illness and so is Graves Disease which Wendy also has. I think Wendy was told to remove them but she doesn’t want to. She’s had the same implants since 1992 or something-over 30 years of the same ones .
Stopping drinking helps

I had a loved one who battled alcoholism quietly. Their legs and feet looked like Wendy’s when we discovered their addiction. I’ll never forget how they felt….like wood. Thank God for his delivering and healing power. After we had them admitted to the hospital, they went from having to have a liver replacement and lifelong kidney dialysis, to only months on dialysis and not needing liver replacement. Oh….and they never touched that stuff again.

@@MsCNail-fe1sj I'm confident her boobs caused her graves disease... implants anywhere in the body causes inflammation. One day she talked about her breast making her sick... she said, she would never take them out, period. Will die with them. On, Botched the Show... man, they have removed so many implants and they would be full of fungus, bacteria... crazy. So, implants plus drugs and drink... and not a good diet... she is killing herself.

She also had a tummy tuck. Any alteration to the body will cause illness. She drinks too.
Unfortunately she’s an alcoholic and she vapes. Smoking constricts the blood vessels so little blood is getting to her organs and she probably drinks little to no water. My uncle was an alcoholic and right before he passed his ankles were huge and he turned darker. Her addictions are breaking her body down. I doubt it’s the implants. Also with the lymphatic system, you have to move that’s why it’s good to exercise as much as u can and eat as healthy as u can.
I don't understand. With all these medical issues going on with her, does anyone give a suggestion on removing those breast implants first. Might be the root of all these problems. She never checked them in years

People are risking their life for cosmetic beauty when at a certain age parts start breaking down as well safe that cutting to keep an arm or leg working to much anesthesia isn't good for you especially all in the name of vanity alot of folks are not here not being content

I recommend changing the title to “what’s wrong with Wendy Williams? Let me explain” the question for sure would get more views if that’s what you want. Just a suggestion.
IMO, I think the title is appropriate because she is explaining the medical condition and not talking about Mrs. Williams. I feel that Dr. Frida is more interested in educating her audience about the health disorder as it can apply to anyone; not just Mrs. Williams😂

its probably related to steroid withdrawal. i had the same when coming off steroids.
I reall think the alcohol consumption is causing the feet swelling. My neighbors' feet swell like a loaf of bread when he drinks a lot at the 1st of the month. When he stops drinking his feet return to normal size. The happens every month. If she stops drinking I am sure a lot of that swelling will resolve. She has to be drinking a 1/5th of booze a day
Her feet have these issues because of heavy drinking.
Dodi dad just passed recently. I’ve felt from day one there was more to this accident. Absolutely grief and happy that he got his family out of there. I’m 61 been following this forever. I just dealt with a death a year ago. I had to read on how to grieve and how to get thru it. Interesting enough none of the cameras were working in the tunnel. Or maybe lights. Tks for sharing

Wendy had a bunionectomy in the early 2000’s do you think that how her lymph nodes were damaged?
I have lymphedema in bothe legs and feet, and my left leg is larger than my right. It is a crappy disease which has no cure.
I know that drinking like she does and doing cocane is very bad for her health with feet problem and it's really not good for her mental health I also read that people who have these implants put in there's bodies breast hips and wherever have this happen with with there arms hands and feet l don't know why she didn't have the breast implants taken out I watched her show every day and I remember when she talked about her condition with her feet she said she told him oh no I'm not getting rid of the girls I didn't understand that have they found Wendy and gotten her back in rehab that lifetime network and that man that's her manager and that woman her close family and real friends please get in the court and help her though this Wendy was so in that why would lifetime do that to her I know money her son father sister brother need to sue lifetime an all those people that kept her hidden this pass year just so they could make money off her she doesn't look well when she looked at Black China and said you know my name is Wendy Hunter like she was about to cry she was the the only person I saw showing Wendy she really does care about her Heavenly father God I pray 🙏 for your Blessings to be open and given unto Wendy Williams I pray Amen

Edema is a case of liver problems due to drinking or eating saturated fats
