My mum passed away in November from kidney failure. She was poorly for a couple of years with several of these symptoms. She refused to go the doctors, she was too scared to go and it cost her her life. DON'T WAIT! Please go to the doctors, I miss my Mum every second of every day & my heart is shattered 💔

I ignored all kinds of obvious symptoms. I was sick beyond belief and didn’t do anything about it for way too long. I’m stage 5 now (end stage) and on dialysis at 40 years old. I’m mostly stable, but don’t feel well a lot. Thank goodness I’m almost listed for a transplant and a great candidate for one. Anyone want to donate a kidney? 😇

I mentioned to my doctor my GFR was 57 in Oct 2023 now in July 2024 was 38!
    For 2 years he's said I was "dehydrated "😮
I knew something was wrong but was ignored. Urea, urate, creatinine kinase, creatine all way above normal reference range and luekocytes 500 in urine with bacteria.
Ultimately went to another doctor and had a kidney infection.
New doctor says "you should've gotten taken care of earlier"
I said yeah my doctor NEVER called me.

Mine went from 54 last year to 49 this year, my Ex-doctor wrote up on my chart listing a number of pain killers I should stop taking (none of which I was taking), she did not tell me to stop taking the Omeprazole she prescribed and which my research showed was bad for the kidneys, and she noted that we’ll monitor it and if it continues to drop then we’ll address it. I have an appointment with a different doctor and in the mean time I have changed my diet.BTW I’m not diabetic, no high blood pressure, not over weight and I exercise.

Kidney failure runs in my family. My grandmother and father died from it. I used to experience kidney pains in my back and I have peed blood. I also used to have to urinate several times a night. I went to the doctor and they found no issues. My brother has had kidney issues even, but thankfully my issues or any signs have all subsided.

It’s been doing good naturally because I changed my diet, but I have kidney stones and they’re not touching them or taking them out. I had eight I’m down to five. I just been trying to clean my body out so I can get rid of these kidney stones. I have acid kidney stones and I can’t, get it surgically but for some reason, they don’t touch it so I’m getting a second opinion cause I don’t know what else to do unless I can dissolve it myself and get it out at least the rest of them always and I’m passing little fragments very little so that would be greatly appreciated

My creat/ratio was 134. In 2wks i retested, gone down to 43. 2wks again, i tested, gone down to 34. Normal range is less than 30. All i did was cut all cabs, salt and i exercise 1hr/day. No med. I can't redo egfr now because its a 3 month average test.

I’ve had the swollen ankles for a few years. I’ve had the weight loss, I was 180lbs and now weigh 106. I have a horrible taste in my mouth but I don’t liken it to a metallic taste, it’s more garlicky, altho it does change. I definitely have memory issues. Ive had all these symptoms for many years but my doc didn’t follow thru with any kind of tests to dx anything. I feel if I had of been dx’ed sooner it wouldn’t of gotten this bad. My gfr is 29%. My doc seems more concerned about getting my bp under control.

I used to have itchy skin until I started limiting my phosphorus intake to less than 1000mg. I love nuts & and ate lot of them daily until I learned nuts are very high in phosphorus. I also limit my protein to no more than 40-45 grams. Been vegetarian for almost 2 years eating plant based kidney health diet.
