    there's only one life,
    fade out the line, fade out the line

    I hope you guys get bigger and bigger. Danny may be the most popular but this music is the child of hearts combining to make something beautiful. Thank you.

    Whenever I listen to this song I think of sitting in a very grassy green field that's windy with a very cloudy sky.

    this song is super gorgeous holy cow I still can't believe it. skyhill is my rainy day music from now on (which probably doesn't mean anything to anyone else but rainy days are super therapeutic and important to me)

      I totally agree. Rainy days and very late at night are where I find solace, and the entire album but especially this song are so representative of that.

      Rainy days are THE BEST
      I remember days that were full of sunshine and birds used to really stress me out after a specific time of my life, and I'm still working on having them not drag me down.
      This album definitely puts me in the right mood, no matter the wheather.

    id just like to say that this song has been instrumental in recovering from a very dark period of my life. i feel this song in MY SOUL and im sure what i feel is different from the intentions of the creators...but its still beautiful and significant to me in a way that has absolutely helped save my life.

    This is my favorite song off the album. Danny has such an amazing voice. I really hope they’re willing to put out another Skyhill project in the future. Don’t get me wrong. NSP is still hilarious/good. I just think Danny should start making another record with Peter. That would please my heart. Believe it or not, I discovered Skyhill first and then NSP after it.

      +DrLeperchaun Half as amazing as Skyhill. It isn't just Danny, but also Peter. While Danny is the "frontman" because he's the voice we hear and associate with, the band wouldn't be anything without Peter. So thank them both for bringing us these eargasms.

      Here i am another year later, my birthday just ended abiut half an hour ago and holy shit have things been crazy this year. Im currently 20, still doing the college thing and my gf and i have been together for about 2 ¹/² years. 2020 has been insane with with the shit that went on. Maybe things will pick up for 2021. I wonder if anyone ever really reads these yearly updates of mine, and i wonder how theyre doing rn.

    • @felixgomez5503
      @felixgomez5503 2 роки тому +1

      Well 2021 was quite the year huh? A lot more has changed, pandemic's still going, college nearly over, i can drive and have a job now at my local mall. Sadly things arent always great, my gf at the time decided that we should break up. We still love and care for eachother and still wish her the best. Theres been plenty of ups and downs this year but ig i can still always hope for the best. Here i am 21 yr old me, lets make the best of it for 2022.

    • @felixgomez5503
      @felixgomez5503 Рік тому +1

      The big ol 22 now and i still feel the need to update this again. Again been some ups and downs, been trying to improve on myself as of late. Having a job, learning to drive, and going to the gym have def been some changes for me. More crazy shit going on in the world of course, that much wont really change. My ex and I are still currently best friends which is great but sadly shes moved across the country which fuckin sucks. Shes been my closest friend and idk what ive ever done without her and the impact shes had on my life. Its crazy how i can see vivid glimpses of what point of my life i was at from this small thread ive made over the years. Nonetheless, still hoping for whatll be a better future for next year.

    • @FriscoCatshark
      @FriscoCatshark 8 років тому +24

      +Amber Perry I'm pretty sure they're all about some sort of break up, whether it be recent or past, Danny's or Peters. There definitely seems to be a heartbroken theme through them, especially Hands on the Water.

    • @RubyDynamite
      @RubyDynamite 7 років тому +24

      Dan said that the entire album was inspired by a sudden and horrible breakup he'd been going through at the time. Like, this was a woman he loved so much he'd been seriously thinking of asking her to marry him - that level of serious -- and then the whole thing just falls apart on him and this whole album is his way of processing the breakup -- what led up to/led to it, what happened during, how he's coping after...

    • @VioletAOP416
      @VioletAOP416 5 років тому

      A Thing By Jacob Warner I think it’s the case that many composers with backgrounds in rock music think in similar ways, both Peter and Stewart use similar instruments in similar ways because they are both influenced by the rock of the 70s and 80s, whereas the average composer is going to be different because they’re usually influenced more by classical music.
