why doesnt danny talk about this band as much as he talks about nsp?
i like nsp and i think its really funny, but this is serious music, and its really good

Their first album which this song came off of was from 2009? I think? And they just recently made a single at the end of 2015 called fireflies because Dan and Peter, the other guy in this band reconnect and made a new song but they don't know if they'll make a new album or new songs. So basically he doesn't want to talk about it if he doesn't hang out with the other guy in the band a lot and they don't know if they'll make more music
They released the album in 2007 if I remember correctly.
Everyone's going on about Dan's singing (Which I really do enjoy) but I think the allure of Skyhill is in the non-vocals. Very well composed in my opinion! Maybe a bit formulaic at times, but damned enjoyable!
Christian Jensen While the track is dope I honestly think Dan makes the song with those two notes he hits. He changes the flavor a lot.
This song is incredible, Danny really does have a gorgeous voice and I'm quite fond of his more serious work!

Still such an incredible amount of quality, it holds up super well, I think.
Skyhill will forever be my favourite band, I think Danny is just too good at serious music, that's why he started NSP.
+Azrael _ Doing serious work more than likely sucks a lot of the fun out of life, I imagine he made NSP because he wanted to share a more fun loving, and enjoyable side of himself when he writes music.
steven farmer If I made music I'd love to make serious stuff, because it might not make people laugh, but it'd be more fun to me, I'm pretty sure. I wouldn't say it sucks the fun out of life, it's still making music, but maybe just not as enjoyable in Danny's case.

Dan's singing talent has really come a long way over the last 8(I think it was?) years. Don't get me wrong, this is really good, but if he continues making songs on this channel, they're only going to get better, I feel. His voice (from The Last Unicorn for instance) is noticeably a lot better now than it was in this.

holy crap i never expected something like this, i always dreamt of a more serious NSP and i'm a massive fan of prog and gotta say this is absolutely amazing for my ears :o the instrumentals are absolutely amazing along with dan's vocals obviously.

Yeah it's official, Danny is my favorite singer/songwriter. I don't know what it is about his songs and his voice but I just completely lose myself to the music. And to think, I only discovered him because of GameGrumps.

Hey I never knew Skyhill was even a thing until very recently. Pretty neat!

CD's are great because they are higher quality than mp3. I have a small collection I have been building up myself, and honestly I would love to add a new skyhill album too it. I really hope they do more.

Ruby Dynamite yea, it wouldn't be as intense, but its been made clear that skyhill era was a hard time for him so i wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't sober. im pretty sure he only really quit around the beginning of nsp.
