Why are you using the most complicated riffs for a beginner tutorial ? I dont get it e7 for example instead of just 1 fret 3. string, 2. fret 5. string Im a noob maybe there is a good reason for it and i simply dont get it ?!
Hi Blackhand Al, I'm glad you asked! This style ("the chord-melody approach") asks that we combine chords with melody notes often requires us to play chords in more challenging ways. The result (with practice) sounds REALLY good for both the player and the listener. Have you ever tried to learn a song that YOU are teaching? it's impossible. I shouldn't have to figure out what someone is doing by rewinding and fast forwarding 10 times plus.you are supposed to be teaching it. In one part of the song, in the bridge actually, you are playing a Gm and the doing some finger picking and then playing a C and more picking and then you talk about a chord you forgot to mention. That would be fine except you don't say anything about what strings your picking or Moving down to a C and what strings you are picking there. Am I Wrong ? I had to figure the First to versus when I'm supposed to be learning it from you. I'm just saying , maybe next lesson you give, watch it and see if you could learn it by the way you are teaching it. Just a thought.
Let's start with the TAB on the screen. Did you find that to be any help? Because that is the whole lesson right there. You could ignore everything I say, just turn the volume down, and play the TAB the screen
Yeah, the more I think about it, the more it seems you don't know how to read TAB because the TAB would clear up everything for you. It's OK - don't take it personally, but I encourage you to learn because it will open a lot of doors and you won't be as frustrated with awesome UA-cam videos by experienced teachers.
Actually, no I don't know how to read tab. I can play chords properly and I song if I am taught properly, if you can't take criticism to try help your teaching, maybe you shouldn't make any more videos

e7 for example instead of just 1 fret 3. string, 2. fret 5. string

I'm glad you asked! This style ("the chord-melody approach") asks that we combine chords with melody notes often requires us to play chords in more challenging ways. The result (with practice) sounds REALLY good for both the player and the listener.

Have you ever tried to learn a song that YOU are teaching? it's impossible. I shouldn't have to figure out what someone is doing by rewinding and fast forwarding 10 times plus.you are supposed to be teaching it. In one part of the song, in the bridge actually, you are playing a Gm and the doing some finger picking and then playing a C and more picking and then you talk about a chord you forgot to mention. That would be fine except you don't say anything about what strings your picking or Moving down to a C and what strings you are picking there. Am I Wrong ? I had to figure the First to versus when I'm supposed to be learning it from you. I'm just saying , maybe next lesson you give, watch it and see if you could learn it by the way you are teaching it. Just a thought.
Let's start with the TAB on the screen. Did you find that to be any help? Because that is the whole lesson right there. You could ignore everything I say, just turn the volume down, and play the TAB the screen
Yeah, the more I think about it, the more it seems you don't know how to read TAB because the TAB would clear up everything for you. It's OK - don't take it personally, but I encourage you to learn because it will open a lot of doors and you won't be as frustrated with awesome UA-cam videos by experienced teachers.
Actually, no I don't know how to read tab. I can play chords properly and I song if I am taught properly, if you can't take criticism to try help your teaching, maybe you shouldn't make any more videos
I wish I knew how to read it , but I don't even k ow where to start, maybe I'm jus to old to learn it
