This version of Elvis is being sung live and is mixed with the orchestra. A better version “Live “ is just his performance in Las Vegas in 1970 with his own band and orchestra!
_ _ _ _ Yeah, the Philharmonic (remix) took all the PUNCH out of the original 1970 live version of this song. That version is 1000x better. As for Elvis vs RightBros, 2 different renditions, worthy of side-by-side acceptance, but I'd say Elvis had the edge with the live 1970 version.
You’ll have to watch the live version. He is SO good at “illustrating” the feelings in this song….He’ll have to share the gold medal with the Righteous Brothers.
Elvis and his legendary Baritone just killed this. And there is a LIVE version online where you can see him do this on a stage. Even Bill Medley would tell you that ELVIS and his voice and the way he ARRANGED A SONG is on a LEVEL noone else has ever achieved. Elvis' vocal skill was not trained in a MUSIC SCHOOL, he was a LONE WOLF, self taught. He learned what he learned on the STREET and in segregated black and white churches in the 1930s and 40s where he FOUND HIS SOUND, and he was WELCOMED WITH OPEN ARMS. Bill respected Elvis and he knew what we all know now, that there is NO BEATING Elvis Presley. In fact, the Righteous Brothers very much WANTED Elvis to sing their song because THEY KNEW he would hit it out of the park. They wanted to see HOW ELVIS would perform it, and when THEY heard it, they were floored. They gave him the right to sing it live whenever he wanted to. I love the RBs, but Elvis wins this one Big D.O.G.
Dang...I love both versions. I think Elvis's version was more passionate. The flow of the Righteous Brothers seemed less raw. It's 2 different styles of the song. I choose Elvis's version ❤
If you have seen the Elvis Live performance at Vegas, you wont need any sec to vote for Elvis. Elvis is almost sound ALWAYS bettter when he o a song live, he ad so much emotion, and personality. You miss to much if you herart ust the audio. Looking forward for more Elvisj🎵
I am a DIE HARD Elvis fan, have been since I was 3 years old. I love his bluesier sound. I agree with the other commenters, you should definitely watch the live version from 70. He puts so much heart and soul into it. The Sweet Inspirations backing vocals also takes it to another level. Please do the live version BP!
Listen to that feeling. Elvis gives out. So much he puts into the song. It's his. Truly his love it when he says.baby baby very strong in his vocals not a note out. What a singer !!
I can't .. this is too close to me. . way b4 my time.. but Mom raised me on Elvis.. and Dad the Righteous Brothers.. I can't pick . lol Both amazing. So glad to hear you love Elvis.. especially his Gospel .
Got to watch the live version!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤ The live version is so much better!!! But not taking anything away from the Righteous Brothers...different styles & both are awesome!
Well this was not fair you didn't show the live version from his Vegas show ! You really should do that one I p it's something to see ! Love your vids doing a great job !😊❤
With Elvis, if you have the choice to watch him perform live, I would say take that chance. He is even more phenomenal live. Elvis all the way! He makes you really feel it.
U need to do a Live version of Elvis doing it, not a remix, so it's not actually fair. The Live version is so much better!! Both of them did a good job, but I prefer Elvis's version.
I like it better with the TCB band it’s righteous haha Elvis just kills it. The Righteous Brothers did a great job also it was more romantic. Elvis is more rock n rollish which is what I like about it. And Elvis’ version of Bridge over Troubled Water is my favorite.
You need to do Elvis the live version 1970 to make it fair It's not just the voice, it's the physical performance. Elvis doesn't just cover, he makes it his own. The RB DID have backing singers 👍
Elvis was good friends with the Righteous Brothers. He would prank them while they were on-stage performing when they were all in Vegas during the same time. In fact, Bill Medley wrote a great song "Old Friend" about missing Elvis. Who did it best? It will always be the Righteous Brother's song - but Elvis did a beautiful version, and I think of it as his way of acknowledging his friends...
Elvis always the best and I love the Righteous Brothers. He and Bill Medley were friends and one time when they were performing in Las Vegas at the same time, Elvis just walked across the stage and did nothing, and Bill said people lined up around the block after that, trying to see their show, in case Elvis showed up again
@cindyphifer970. I'm happy you shared that story! I had heard a part of it before. It might be ELVIS fans followed every move he made and since he knew that his walk across the stage was purposeful since he also knew he was a giant magnet! Which helped the brothers out!
I love both versions, but Elvis voice touches my soul and feelings. I've got to say, the original Elvis version is much better arranged. The Royal P. Orchestra arrangements (made 2015) never get me. Thanks for another Elvis reaction!!!💚☀️
On Record, The Righteous Brothers, but on stage live performance, Elvis Presley all day. BTW Elvis Presley and Bill Medley of the Righteous Brothers were actually very good friends.
You can hear the heart, soul and feeling from the Righteous Brothers . Only hear and get the feeling that Elvis is just relying on his talent. Don't get me wrong I love me some Elvis.
If I am right , Elvis never sang with the Royal philharmonic orchestra, in 2018 they remixed and added the orchestra to Elvis vocals, so I belive as good as this is The Original is best.
Elvis was a BIG fan of the Righteous Brothers. He would sneak in to see them perform when they were doing Vegas. He and Bill became friends and has a tribute song/video he did for Elvis when he passed. Take the time to look it up (even if not for the channel) it is definitely worth a look/listen.
Elvis is "Almost" Always Better Live !! Check out: Elvis Presley "You've Lost That Loving Feeling" 1970 Live, Las Vegas (720P) ❤❤ Also: Elvis Presley "Bridge Over Troubled Water" 1970 Live, Las Vegas (New Mix, Great Sound) ❤❤
Elvis! He made every cover song with his unique voice his own. He puts more soul, Blues and passion into it. And at the original live version, you can also see Elvis bodylanguage, when he gets nearly on his knees at the part in the middle. Elvis lived every song with emotion. GOAT!
Geesh Elvis besides being a great singer, entertainer....he know what music should sound like, so he made sure it was done a certain way his, and it was great. So his cover always was different. in a great way.
Now try the original version with his own band. This was recorded with the instrumentation of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra AFTER Elvis' death. They did a very good job, but to get the original Elvis experience you should watch the live version from 1970.
I can't choose between the two! How can you compare Elvis and the Righteous Brothers? Elvis out a gospel spin on most everything he did, you can hear it in this song. Elvis could sing any genre. The Righteous Brothers to me, are a soul duet and I love that too 💞
There's a reason the ladies love "Elvis the Pelvis". His moves, that sexy voice... No matter what era of Elvis we're talking about he still can make me shiver thinking of him crooning in my ear
Elvis can sing or cover any song and do it justice! I think you folks should keep in mind what Elvis said once, "I will never follow that man on stage again", he was talking about Roy Orbison then. I would hope he'd make the assertion that they couldn't be compared because he didn't sing it on a single 45 rpm. The Brothers version didn't have the Rock feel that Elvis gave his cover. The song was in reality written for the brothers by Phil Spector and two other writers in Spectors Wall of sound style and it gained huge technical acclaim in America. Many didn't care for it in Europe and the UK didn't like it at all. It was said to be one of the best records ever recorded. The Brothers & Elvis managed to sound sincere in their heartbreak! Maybe Elvis sold more albums with that cover on it? Who knows!
I love them both. Elvis for the soul. Righteous Bros. for the pop. Comparing the chorus and the hook, I believe Elvis is a little bit better. I have not heard the live version that most of the other comments say, but I know he is better in person as he is inspired by the audience.
Bill never sang with Elvis and neither did Bobby. They were friends from way back in the early sixties when Elvis came to see them before they were famous. Bill became closer friends in the seventies when they were both performing in Vegas... he used to visit at Graceland but never lived there. My vote is for The Righteous Brothers....no slight to Elvis but I think they did it better. It was written for them and show-cased their voices from Bill's bass to Bobby's high tenor which was beyond Presley's reach...
This version of Elvis is being sung live and is mixed with the orchestra. A better version “Live “ is just his performance in Las Vegas in 1970 with his own band and orchestra!
This 4K version ua-cam.com/video/QTLjMiEJwq4/v-deo.html
Exactly!
Yes this is the one !!

He is definitely better
You’ll have to watch the live version. He is SO good at “illustrating” the feelings in this song….He’ll have to share the gold medal with the Righteous Brothers.
Elvis live versions of his recorded songs are much better than what he put on vynal!
@@sandralybrand9425you’re right. I love to watch Elvis live. It’s a different experience. You feel every word.
Yes you are very right. Elvis is the best 💕💕💕💕
Now go watch the live version of Elvis's.
Watch the live version from Vegas 1970 instead, Elvis live is sensational.
Elvis . The voice,the passion,the power. The g.o.a.t!!!❤
Elvis is the goat....but this is a win for bill medley
Bill Medley from Righteous Bros did a loving tribute to Elvis called "Old Friend"
Beautiful tribute song ❤
Elvis' live version.
You should always do Elvis live!!!
Elvis and his legendary Baritone just killed this. And there is a LIVE version online where you can see him do this on a stage. I love the RBs, but Elvis wins this one Big D.O.G.
You´re spot on!
You definitely need the live version. It is so much better.
I insist on the originals. BUT, when Elvis put's his lungs into a song it takes the song to a whole nother level.
I'm a purist..love Elvis, but I gotta go w/ the Righteous Brothers. But it's close.
I love Elvis version more ❤
Dang...I love both versions. I think Elvis's version was more passionate. The flow of the Righteous Brothers seemed less raw. It's 2 different styles of the song. I choose Elvis's version ❤
Elvis did a lot of great cover songs and made them his own style. One that I really love is "Bridge Over Troubled Waters ".
Yes Definitely !! Best Version
Elvis Presley
"Bridge Over Troubled Water"
1970 Live, Las Vegas
(New Mix, Great Sound) ❤❤
I like both versions, but love Elvis's 1970 live performance in Vegas!
must watch live 1970
Elvis had great background singers.. but Elvis's voice stands out .. Always.
Treat us and yourself…Elvis on Tour version of Bridge Over Troubled Water..❤it will give you chills
Watch him live in this song
Keep listening to him
Elvis. He’s the man
Elvis is the King and always will be. 😘❤️
You should have done the 1970 LIVE version in Vegas!
Elvis' LIVE version takes this song to another level. Way better than the original!! 👏🏻👍🏻
You should see the Elvis live version
I never heard this Elvis version. ❤❤ Loved It !
Performance of the song goes to Righteous Brothers. But Elvis is always a sentimental favorite for most.

The Righteous Brothers touch my heart. Elvis is too smooth.
You’ll have to watch the live version. He is SO good at “illustrating” the feelings in this song….

❤ Elvis 👑
You should check out Elvis singing it live 1970 Las Vegas...
You have to watch the live version to appreciate the emotion!!!
Got to watch the live version!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤ The live version is so much better!!! But not taking anything away from the Righteous Brothers...different styles & both are awesome!
His vocal on this gives me goosebumps every time... impeccable 🔥
Well this was not fair you didn't show the live version from his Vegas show ! You really should do that one I p it's something to see ! Love your vids doing a great job !😊❤
@@inescece4707 I actually commented that he should check out Las Vegas 1970 (That's the Way it is) performance too. Unbelievably good
With Elvis, if you have the choice to watch him perform live, I would say take that chance. He is even more phenomenal live. Elvis all the way! He makes you really feel it.
Elvis had the manliest , richest, gorgeous voice. The Righteous Brothers did a phenomenal job as well with this song.
Elvis live at all times!!!!
Love Elvis the best by far
Can't go wrong with Elvis. But I love the Righteous Brothers to.
My friend Elvis all day every day. live version is the best. love to you from the one and only Memphis Tn.
Love the Righteous Brothers version!
"She's lost it Goose. She's lost that loving feeling." "Aw man, I hate it when does that!" 🤣
Watch the live performance version of Elvis doing this song. It's amazing.
Elvis did a lot of covers of other songs, but he always made them his own.
Name one song Elvis sang that wasn't a cover. Other than the ones especially written for him.
Way on down
Moody Blues
And about 30 movie soundtracks
Love this song grew up listening to Elvis because my father loves him
Please listen to the original with Elvis. This version was done 2017
Elvis. Love them both but Elvis is the King. 👑 🎸
Elvis is my favorite of all time , but I do love the original by the righteous Brothers. I give it a tie. Elvis has a lot more soul.
The Righteous Brothers version is a cover too
I loved Elvis & I didn't realize that he covered this song. I still liked the Righteous Brothers version better. I agree both versions were great.
They are just both different and great in each way, no better or worse, no way to even compare when both are so perfect.
U need to do a Live version of Elvis doing it, not a remix, so it's not actually fair. The Live version is so much better!! Both of them did a good job, but I prefer Elvis's version.
Silly question. They’re different, both great.
I like it better with the TCB band it’s righteous haha Elvis just kills it. The Righteous Brothers did a great job also it was more romantic. Elvis is more rock n rollish which is what I like about it. And Elvis’ version of Bridge over Troubled Water is my favorite.
Can’t compare! Both great! Elvis tugs at my soul more.
You need to do Elvis the live version 1970 to make it fair
It's not just the voice, it's the physical performance.
Elvis doesn't just cover, he makes it his own. The RB DID have backing singers 👍
Have to see it live...
The "live" version from Vegas in 1970 tops the ALL!!!
"listen to me talking to you" I love that...like yes whatever you want me to do...haaaa Elvis. U ARE THE BEST!
Elvis 🔥🔥🔥
I love Elvis but I love the Righteous Brothers even more. The Righteous Brothers even more.

Which helped the brothers out!
I love Elvis Presley !!!
X They were both awesomely talented and I don’t think they need to compete against each other. Both great and their own special way in my opinion.
Need to see the 1970 live version - watching him sing it even better ⭐⭐
Elvis hands down
I love both versions, but Elvis voice touches my soul and feelings.
I got to love my Elvis the most ❤

@AlanBeresFord7900
I just looked it up on the google machine and it looks like the remaster was done in 2015, so you almost nailed it.
Elvis for sure.
Nope
I love them both!!!
you must watch live 1970
Please check out Elvis’s version of you’ve lost that love and feeling live 1970 compared to the righteous brothers live performance.
Elvis definitely
Elvis was a BIG fan of the Righteous Brothers. He would sneak in to see them perform when they were doing Vegas. He and Bill became friends and has a tribute song/video he did for Elvis when he passed. Take the time to look it up (even if not for the channel) it is definitely worth a look/listen.

It's not either or for me. I like both.
Elvis every day of the week 👌 his voice untouchable ✨

Hall and Oats have a live version of this that needs to be in the race…awesome.
Their version sucks compared to Elvis

Elvis The King 🤴

Elvis for sure. He's the KING.
Mother's Finest - Baby Love !!!!
Talking Heads - Once in a Lifetime !!!!
It took both of the Righteous Brothers to match range of Elvis
Elvis I feel it way more dynamic
I LOVE ELVIS. His voice...oh man...❤
