Positioned at the head of the DS Automobiles range, DS 9 is a graceful saloon. At 4.93 metres long, 1.93 metres wide and 1.46 metres high with large 690mm diameter wheels, DS 9 is meant to be dynamic and elegant. It sits on a new version of the EMP2 platform (EMP2 V2.3) with a wheelbase that’s not been seen before (2.90 metres), greatly benefiting rear passengers. Its steeply raked fastback style roof gives it enormous character and streamlines its silhouette.
At first, DS 9 will be offered with an E-TENSE plug-in hybrid powertrain comprising a PureTech turbocharged petrol engine with an electric motor with a total of 225 horsepower and capable of covering 48 kilometres (WLTP) in zero emissions mode courtesy of an 11.9kWh battery. The CO2 emissions are between 33 and 35g/km depending on specification with consumption rated at 1.5l/100km on the WLTP combined cycle.
The electric motor, through an eight-speed automatic gearbox, has a maximum power of 110hp and 320Nm. It is used for starting from a standstill, boosting acceleration at any speed and for driving in zero emissions mode at speeds up to 135km/h. Electric mode is always automatically selected on start-up. It is complemented by a Hybrid mode, designed to automatically manage the different types of energy by driving 100% electric, 100% petrol or combining the two if the situation requires it. The car’s occupants won’t notice the transitions. An E-TENSE Sport mode provides the maximum power from the combined combustion engine and electric motor by adjusting the mapping of the accelerator pedal, gearbox, steering and active suspension. It intensifies driver enjoyment and dynamics in complete safety.
DS 9 utilises an energy recovery system that charges the battery while driving when you decelerate or brake. In addition, an E-Save function guarantees there’s always some energy in the battery to do part of the journey in Zero Emissions mode (several levels available), for example when the driver knows they will be going into town centres. The 7.4kW on-board charger enables the battery to be charged in 1hr 45 from home or public charging points using the cable supplied as standard.
The line-up will shortly be topped by two more E-TENSE power units, with 250 horsepower, 2-wheel drive plus extended range capability, and 360 horsepower with intelligent 4-wheel drive developed with expertise from DS PERFORMANCE. A 225 horsepower PureTech petrol engine is also available. All models are offered with an automatic eight-speed gearbox.

Yes. Peugeot 508/Citroen D9 use the same platform. Even de Opel Insignia use it...

Quant aux critére de "jolie" c'est vachement subjectif ça !... MAIS la 5 est jolie c'est vrai, mais pas de l'interieur du tout pour le coup la DS9 déééééchire tout le monde de l'interieur je trouve !
@@Roi-Shito-1st désolé mais la en vrai cette ds9 est vraiment troppp troppp tape à l'oeil ça en devient limite vulgaire,le luxe ne veut pas dire l'extravagance,une bonne 520d avec quelques options suffit largement pour rouler dans un grand confort avec une bonne fiabilité, sans compter le châssis de la serie 5 qui est vraiment pas mal et amuseur même avec un diesel, dommage vraiment,surtout l'arrière qui fait plus petit,comme si une porte c'étais fermé sur l'arrière, et j'ai peur côté fiabilité aussi, par contre l'avant j'adore et les places arrière ont beaucoup de place même plus que sur une classe s d'après les images,le reste pas top...
