I think more guns instead of customization would be better to keep it different from an exaggerated shooting and explosive extravaganza. I originally made a comparisive in this explaining that bad changes to the DLC could make it similar to GTA a sense, but it appears people got confused so that didn't work.

However, if they go too far and add stuff like overpowered handheld weapons and handheld customization (scopes, suppressors, etc) and basically way too many military stuff, it could ruin the feeling of the game. I compared it to GTA because Multi-player could end up like an endless free for all with guns instead of being a fun thing where you drive boats and planes and have fun together. The game is not like GTA at all. What I'm saying is if they have to be careful what weapon changes they make to this DLC to keep it from feeling something like it. They need to keep it with a stormworks feeling, still.
i hope they tweak the weapon accuracy before launch cause it seems like it will be near impossible to shoot anything that's agile. may create a situation especially in multiplayer where if you don't know how to make custom guided missiles then you will be dead long before you can get close enough to use the guns(i would love to see an CIWS build trying to shoot down a small missile). seeing the handheld as well as the mounted guns having essentially a random spray pattern even on first shot is a bit of a letdown and reminds me of the terrible fps's i used to play in the 90's before game devs started researching how guns work. either way update looks cool. will definitely add some cool factor the builds and such and im sure streamers will get a lot out of it with the stories and such they come up with. just wondering how effective these guns will be when your actually trying to use them in game and if they will be worth even adding them to a build intended combat. anyways thanks for the vid great as always.
Fun Fact: The A-10 can only fire its GAU-8 Avenger (Brrrrrrrrt gun) for seven seconds, as the recoil slows the plane down so much it can stall. The recoil force is the same as the thrust from one engine, so firing effectively halves the thrust.
I don't think that's quite true. The gun produces slightly more recoil force than one of the engines, but the plane can fly on a single engine and only carries enough ammunition for, optimistically, 18 seconds of firing. It's usually fired in short bursts of a second or two to reduce wear & tear, and reduce the likelihood of stalling the engines with recoil gases from the gun.
I would imagine using the light autocannon and hooking 4 of them up and using a microcontroller to make then all shoot chronologically. Perhaps use radar to give lead direction as well?

So many things will happen because of this DLC. Ships will have compartments and pumps to not sink. Ships will have to wisely use armor blocks. There will be systems to auto reload with the press of a button or even after a shot. There will be tracking and aim systems. EMP Bombs will have timers so they dont destroy your plane. People will make whole systems that show range and where to aim to hit targets with bullet drop and leading and then a little reloading icon etc. People can use the handheld mount for things like jetskis or computer monitors that have a mouse.
yeah, the drum mags should have more. the small one has diameter of 2 blocks, so an area of 1pi blocks^2, the second has a diameter of 3 blocks, so an area of 2.25pi blocks^2, the largest one has a diameter of 5 blocks, so 6.25pi blocks^2 Right now, it's 100 rounds for the small one, so the second should have 225 rounds, and the larger one should have 625 rounds. The current values somewhat represent this, but it would be nice to see it a bit more balanced. 100 rounds also seems a bit low but what do i know.

Maybe even 20 millimeter Oerlikons and 40 millimeter Bofors Anti-Aircraft guns as well as the M3 75 millimeter gun for the Sherman Tank (M4A3 (Late) model is involved as armor support with a Platoon of four tanks).

Those drums store alot less ammo than they should I hope you can change the max ammo count in a drum for the size of that thing holding only 500 bullets is insane
Man the rotor drift is going to be very annoying if it can't be solved. You'd need a PID controller for the PID controller for the elevation to dampen that out
Obviously this isn't a tank simulator but I would like to see sabot penetrators, automatic stabilizer pivot (for the sake of simplicity instead of messing around with composite data). ERA, composite armor, spaced armor etc. Depleted uranium rounds, smoke rounds, etc. It would also be very nice if they added an integrated LUA editor where you can draw on the screen and it automatically codes itself instead of having to code it all in manually.

They added explosive warheads into the dlc. Just take a normal torpedo and put a warhead on it
How are the warheads activated? Does it have a built in fuse, or do you need to send an on signal?

There will be enemy ships and planes, so the idea of enemy subs isn't so unrealistic. Hopefully there will be some.
