Me: *Looks Over At Khezu and Gigginox*
Khezu my beloved
Don't forget Gypceros
I miss gigginox
@@jabbah7115 oh your right
@pockystyx4087 yeah Gigginox really should return
If there's an option to have my palico's meow instead, I'll be happy
Yes please
I just hope there's a few options, the one we got to hear is...kinda awful? Grating like the FF7Rebirth moogles.
Switch to monster hunter language
Honestly. He brought up some good constructive points. It's actually healthy to be a little critical especially as hype builds, in my case it's cause I'll enjoy the game more when it breaks my low expectations. Regarding the wire fall. He brings up a valid point. Wire falling is incredibly strong, when you know what you're doing. It can let you play recklessly and trade with a monster, to then recover and punish it with very little consequence. Despite that. This doesn't look anywhere near as strong, in fact this looks like a premeditated action that you have to do prior to being hit.
Regarding the sharpening. It's a hit and miss thing. Yes it does take some of the value away from sharpening, but it seems we forget the agony of switch axe and gun lance losing sharpness at mach twenty. What I see with a mount is I can sharpen with more versatility and as a result skip on getting traits that reduce the sharpening in place of something more engaging. It spreads out more for what I can do for those weapons. Especially with switch axe being arguably one of the slowest weapons in the game for dodging with huge punishment for the player if they aren't three steps ahead. Granted, on rise I've never used a palamute. I used two crackhead palicos that infinitely stun locked hunts. But that's because I mainly used greastword, where enemies died before I ever needed to sharpen. Which is honestly the same in world. Most weapons are sharpened once in the entire hunt. The enemies should be dead before you do it twice. If they're not, you're probably being subjected to a nightmare and you have my sympathy, or you are using a switch axe and bursted once. Again, my sympathy.
Regarding focus mode. I can imagine it like this. It will most likely slow you, leaving you open to being punished. It'll lock you to where you are facing, meaning you'll have to do so strategically lest you're just side stepped or moved around. The red scout flies mark the weaknesses and hitting them will let you hit with a special attack. You can do massive damage with it, but you are at the monsters mercy while focus mode is up and vulnerable. Making it a trade of high risk and reward. Better for the lapses in a fight over an enraged monster. that's going to out manoeuvre you and stomp you to the curb if you aren't careful.
For the palico. I agree that it should be made A toggle. While I want the high pitch rat talking loud, purely because my palicos exist to annoy me and then save the entire hunt every single time. Despite me seeking such sadistic problems. The rest of the community has played the entire game with meowing. While palicos could always talk. They've never represented it in mainline games and for a developer to not see why the players would be narked off is... Really really shortsighted.
Despite this. I actually think that this game is going to turn out well. We've seemingly removed the wire bug which will hopefully return the game to it's more strategic and heavy hitting combat. (wire bug is fine in rise, but it is draining after a while) we are getting palicos which honestly is such a relief, I cannot play without my crack buddy and my friend does not want to be my palico if I can't get one otherwise. The graphics are nice (but may be laggy if it's using dd2's engine ;-;) the third monster in the trailer is cool. No clutch claw means no clagger, just eternal bliss. The smaller animals seem to hunt in packs, as well as the larger monsters, I love that attention to detail.
Can't wait for the next four days. The only thing I'd like to see is if weapons evolve in how they look more... Noticeably when they rank up. Which is basically a guarantee. I hope.
Oh yeah I have no doubts in my mind that Wilds is going to be amazing and I can't wait
Same. Any weapons you planning on using? I'm heavy stuck between switch axe or greatsword for my primaries. With heavy bowgun as my auxiliary
@@muhc2931 I'm a hammer main through and through so I'll be going hammer!!
The only complaining i will do with wilds is if they still keep the unskippable cutscenes of world ;-;
It was in RiseBreak, it won't be in wilds.
And the ugly world weapons
I would actually do that mounting the Palamute to sharpen thing quite a bit in High Rank if I had a breather. Once I got to Sunbreak and got the HH that regen'd my sharpness I'd rarely sharpen manually at all during a hunt outside of specific situations.
people were actually complaining about "Monsters" being ugly? ain't no way
YES HAHA, a lot of people don't like the new guy
Purretty cool video! Mew bad so many people aren't a fan of the palico talking. I honestly think the voice they used for the trailer is adorable
Cat puns are purrfect
This is why I don't mess with this guy, Rurikhan, and Gaijin Hunter. All they do is complain.
I believe that Focus mode is more or less just a stance with extra moves that have dynamic interactions in certain scenarios.
The only time I would sharpen on the palamute mid-combat was in solo hunts. I remember riding circles around Magnamalo while the poor purple tiger failed to stop me from sharpening.
that wasn't too bad.
definitely agree 100% with the palico... everything else, i think we just don't have enough info yet (and like you said, that's not a bad thing, i like surprises)
If there is a deep Japanese voice option for the palico, I’m going with that. Otherwise I’m going for the meow option.
People haven't even played the game yet and they're already complaining. 😂
Totally agree just be happy to have more. Most likely next trailer we get a release date.
No release date yet ;-; gotta wait for more info in August now
@@purrodie The game looks so good I can we can a little more for a release date! 😭Sort of.
Fair points that were made though all we can do is just wait until tomorrow for the summer game fest. Pretty sure the devs will explain and show us some of the changes they made for Wilds combat. Also hopefully they give us the option to choose the iconic palico voice during our palico creation.
Very fair points I don't understand how people were getting so pressed when he also said it may not be a problem with many of the points. People are so quick to upset when "Thing I Like" isn't getting praised.
People will always make assumptions until the game is released haha
@@HiPlayerProdigy If only I didn't agree with him and say that all his points were valid lol
I think monsters should be more like mh tri where they feel like they fit in the ecosystem. it's the immersion for me.
This. I liked how in the 3rd gen games we'd actually see things like Arzuros go after the honey even outside of the cutscene. In World I feel the only time we see something similar happen is Great Jagras eating an Aptonoth. The rest of the monsters are straightup just wandering with a super occasional interaction with the environment, which is *mostly* just to leave a track for the hunter.
@@Vexal50 ? It's the opposite, every monster has interactions with the environment in World, Iceborne had a whole system of taking pictures of monsters being monsters, while in the older games they wandered about with few interactions at most because of the limitations.
@@liviekumori I'm mostly referring to World, not Iceborne. Most interactions were for the purpose of leaving tracks, such as Anjanath sneezing and leaving a bunch of slime for the hunter to interact with. Most monsters would be more like Radobaan, Uragaan, and Bazelgeese, where they would straightup just wander around just like monsters in older games.
Also; other monsters are part of what makes an ecosystem, but outside of the Turf War system which is rather limited, monsters *rarely* interacted with eachother in the basegame. The only examples I could find of monsters naturally interacting with eachother in my recent playthrough from a few months ago were Tzi-tzi Ya-ku being a troll and flashbanging Shammos and the example I mentioned earlier of Great Jagras eating an Aptonoth. I even went out of my way to follow Bazelgeeze, Radobaan, Kulu Ya-ku, Uragaan, and Pukei-Pukei; they would just wander around.
What makes this weirder is that there are some monsters you'd fully expect to interact but they never do, such as Gujau and the stupid mudfish. The Turfwar system is also undercooked, mainly because the turfwars that exist are entirely one sided, the devs making sure that monsters of the same tier would never interact with eachother and not allowing the Hunter to have any real impact on the turfwar. :/
@@Vexal50 I'm sure wilds will build a lot on that, I mean, the trailer emphasizes that a lot, like we see those small crocodile monsters eating another small monster, the herds of big and small monsters and whatnot.
@@liviekumori And smaller monster attacking chatacabra
The one thing that "worries" me is the way armor skills will work with two different weapons? But then again theres still a year to go. Still a fun thing to think about regardless imo :)
Oh yeah someone brought that up!! Like what if we decided to have a ranged weapon as a secondary just to be able to shoot from the mount, how will our skills effect this??
I mean, it could be both a baby pukei and an endemic life to catch and have as a pet
Just in where it will be categorized, it would be listed under endemic life. A Pukei Whelp, maybe.
I'm very curious to see what it turns out to be!
The complaints about palicos talking is dumb. They have always been able to talk. In. Every. Single. Generation. Palicos have dialogue boxes. Implying they are talking. I was actually disappointed with world not having the palicos actually speak. Because they can talk, and them having no voice in cutscenes felt off. Like they were the silent player character.
Nah, the complaint isn‘t completely dumb. The concern here isn’t the fact that our palico can talk, but rather that the voice acting is bad, cringy or even annoying.
Some people just don‘t want a Paimon or a Navirou on their back
Omg the palicos were talking!!?? 😱😱 I had no idea!!
Oh yeah it's not the talking, it's the voice hehe, that's why I'm hoping the voice is different in the MH language since that's the setting I play on ^^
2:53 Well I think it being poisonous would depend on if you fed it, like poisonous dart frogs are poisonous cause of the insects they eat.
Focus is supposed to be smth that helps new players so I already imagine veterans playing without using it as a challenge
I have zero worries.
I've been pogging out of my mind, since the recent trailer was revealed.
I will probably love it no matter what! Even if the palico talks hehe
They better have my face stripes for my character since they were absent in rise. 😩 Had to fabricate them from another option.
I’m happy CapCom finally adding Romance.
I can finally go on a date with Khezu
Damn, I actually like that our palico is talking. It sounds adorable.
9:03 when i needed a moment, i would get on the pal and sharpen and heal while strafing the monster. That was a main utility to me
That's smart! I've never found a need for that but that's just my playstyle, I think I just got too used to not being able to sharpen on a mount haha
Do you guys think the mouth block wt the end of the trailer is also a focus mode interaction?
from whats been told about focus mode, it does effect guarding, and we see them in the focus stance before blocking iirc
Rise is my favorite MH, but wirefall was OP af
Heres some context, Rata is busy with his elden ring videos and believes theres enough youtubers to analyze for him.
So as a quick video he focused on the negatives which not many would do constructively cause like he said hes a great whiner. He'll get back to making monster hunter videos after hes done with his elden ring spree. I do love his mh opinions.
Honestly he wasn't even that negative haha
@@purrodie lmao
For the algorithm
4:03 how?..... why?... what about that was sexist? 😂
Anyway if the whire bugs are gonna be gone i hope we have some good mobility options to make up for it, dashing around all over the place was way more fun than having to run everywhere on foot and being limited by the stamina bar.
Haha I was just making a joke cause he said a man should I wasn’t serious about it xD
Hey! You’re awesome, keep up the entertaining content
Can't you sharpen on the MHW mount?
Yea, but you cant call it during combat.
i hope there's no button to toggle off the palico voice 💀
its plenty quiet at home enough, i need new voices talking to me ya know 🧍♂
Este video esta buenisimo
gracias mi rey loco
Monster hunter!
WILDS
Ratatoskr is a certified hater. He is PROUD of this. Being a whiner is his damn job. He's good at it, and we love him for it. Just in case folk don't watch the video. Parody here is doing what Mad Rat God wants.
Thank you for realizing this!!
@@purrodie Aye.
OK, you are very based.
This video is pretty neat!
A wee action, lessgo
I will never understand why people complain about sharpening/healing on the mount.
In old gen games, we always had the option to just go to the next area and do the same thing
Not to mention that, like restocking at camp, it's optional. If you think it makes the game too easy, just don't do it
Monster world and rise have a lock system and it is dog shit
Opinion based game related content needs to just go away. Tell me the stats. Give me a guide. A review is one thing, but everyone just thinks every thought they have is so profound. There are too many people out there that need their opinions given to them and they just flock to these kinds of channels (not yours. talking about habitual melancholy or whatever his name is). It's a damn video game. They just complain and doom post because they are using you for views.
I totally understand theorizing and wondering what will come out, but I'm definitely leaving all of my final judgements for when the game is actually released! Even if there were things I didn't like in the game, such as the talking palico, I'll still love the game most likely
Purr, I wouldn't call critique "Whining", that simply sounds like you're dismissing the opinions of others which you ultimately ended up agreeing with on most cases. Pretty disappointing that you treated someone like that for giving their worries on a franchise they like.
I mean, Ratatoskr himself called it whining at the start of the video, as far as I can tell Purr's just going along with it
He literally calls it whining himself lol, it was a play on his own words. I can tell you didn't actually watch the video but thanks for the algo comment.
I spend the entire video validating and agreeing with how I can see why he has the criticism he does, if you had watched you would have realized this.
Can I say you guys are super super touchy. All I heard from this guy was that there were potential risks from the Rise influence and he mentioned also why it would not be risky as well. He gave very objective takes and all of you guys were just offended because he didn't praise everything and make you feel better. It is ridiculous how so many people can't even take constructive criticism.
Like a bunch of children who hate when someone says that something they like has flaws and isn't praising it 24/7.
Very immature of you all.
spotted the guy that commented before even watching the video
Why aren't we tho? Ratatoskr himself said the whiny thing in the first place... Sarcasm or not, his worries are way too far to fetch. His takes are objective, for a game that hasn't been released yet (so, it kinda aren't, eh?). Personally, I think this is the time to admit that MH is not for everyone... I've prepared that mentality since Rise. In fact, I played World 5 years later since the PC release date, coz: (1) I hate how World changes everything in the first place, (2) I didn't have proper PC to play back then LOL
If you say the others are immature, well, look at yourself!! Just chill dude, play it or hate it, be neutral, it's all okay. As someone said, "it's all just a game." *peace!!!
Ratatoskr himself literally admit he's whinning on the very start of video, and everyone just play along with it.
Chill dude you're the one that need to grow up
I agreed with almost all of his points if you actually watched the video haha, Ratatoskr was the one that opened up his video calling himself a whiner. If you actually watch the video you will see, it helps before making a comment.
