We've all seen it already, but we gave it a second look and discussed some of the new things seen in the second Wilds trailer!

Finally crossplay was long over due and the new trailer was so good. Like the new sand monster. Their body moves and looks like Lagiacrus.
Main thing is scallop eyes are not true eyes, they simply detect shifts in light rather then make out anything. So while they function like eyes, their more like tiny organs that can tell if light is or isnt infront of them. Similar to snakes pit organs that can detect heat and pheramones.

Very much so, these things likely can't see shape, color, or much of anything other than blurrs of black and white. In fact, now that I think about it, it's probably one of the only true cases of a creatures sight being based on movement, naturally jumping at any shift in light.
I agree that the spear might be a NpC specific thing. MH weapons tend to be comically large in relation to the player character with the exception of SnS.
It may just be like a "get away from me" stick. But not really suited for combat.

The mounts we get look a lot like the mounts from Jak and daxter. Specifically Jak 3 called leaped lizards and I like it a lot. Also the dots/eyes inside the monster could possibly be a similar detail that cats have to help with their long teeth. Acts like a cushion to prevent self injury. Aside from that I like how cool the new monsters are. I like the tongue one the most right now

Im glad that Wilds is getting crossplay, i for one am excited. Im getting the game on Xbox and PlayStation and im hoping to have a group to play with. Unfortunately my friends left me an moved basically cause they didn't wanna play with someone who has a speech impediment disability. Im a super chill person to play with once you get to know me more. So im hoping to have a group to play. with.

Weird that after all this, they said the Capcom ID would not be necessary for Wilds. I was sure of crossplay because of the polls they kept sending out during Rise's lifespan where one of the first questions was always asking how important crossplay was, and then SF6 having it kinda sealed the deal.
Note that they don't confirm whether it's needed to enable crossplay, they leave that aspect vague. It's just "A Capcom ID is not required to play the main game and to access online-exclusive content." Considering there's a setting to enable and disable it, I feel like you'll need the ID to enable it in the first place
It does say that Capcom ID is not required to play the game nor required to play online, so my theory is it will be required to be able to play cross-play, as that's how you'll get a unique ID despite what system you'll be playing on, or at least maybe to add friends who are on different systems

@@purrodie Yes, it is crossplay, and crossplay was on by default when the game launched. It's not cross-save however, which is probably what they were thinking of.
