Yes I am! Sadly I'll just be a spectator because my Bandai app didn't get me in, but that just leaves more time for meeting people and creating some fun stuff!
We've done the OP06 tournaments on the channel so I feel you. it's a crazy game mechanic that's super influential right now, but I couldn't tell you whether or not it's good/bad because yellow does have bad matchups at times
Thank you!! I love doing commentary, and soon we'll be able to get videos at our locals so then it's my own content!!! (the top tables, not me at the bottom LOL)
It comes in this collection releasing in April (in NA)! It'll come onto the secondary market like TCGPlayer after that p-bandai.com/us/item/N2716224001001

It really falls off the meta. I have a video in the works on a “full guide to OP06 meta” for later towards release but I’m not buying purple pieces until after op06
I don’t think there’s any advantage or disadvantage gained from either shuffling or not shuffling your hand. As a whole, Japanese culture is more proper, plus I think the viewer experience is way better when I’m not trying to see what cards you have when you’re swinging them 100 miles an hour. It’s way easier for broadcasters and viewers
@@atrocioustcg I didn't mean constantly shuffle the hand like most of us do at locals, but I do feel it's relevant that when a new card is drawn there's some value in keeping your opponent guessing what it is. If new cards are consistently being placed on the right, couldn't your opponent effectively track what's left in your hand depending on which cards you played from which position in your hand?
@@jerms745 I'm not sure if it gets that deep. If I don't use a searcher, you just know I have 5 cards in my hand. Sure, you may know that I played the card I drew, but it just may not be the right time to play the other four since in card games there's only one optimal line of play in each action. If I constantly leave one don up, you may think I constantly have Radical Beam in hand in those four cards to the left, but in reality I'm just messing with your math because I haven't needed that done in a strategy better than feinting.
I don’t know if I fully agree with that. What counters do you have for green resting / red power reduction / blue bottom decking + drawing / black cost / purple ramp? They’re already printing Onami in OP06 (which is yellow so is it helping?)
atleast you can predict what the enemy is going to do but these trigger cards have so much value outside of beeing a trigger it would be more predictable if the enemy didnt have like 12 billion triggers in his deck today i played at an important event and the enemy was enel he had 1 character on board and i had 5 cost kid paulie and kaido guess what in his first life he triggers thunderbolt deleting my kid heals with enel and triggers bedge and plays yamato afterwards and as enel thats basically healing 2 life and so the table turned and he woped out another yamato and then a katakuri and then its to late for me already a man can only have so much counter@@atrocioustcg
@@atrocioustcg The difference is you know the lines those colors want to take on curve. Yellow is random and can generate so much value. You can play around triggers to an extent, but not all the time. If you lose to other colors, often you can find mistakes you made. If you lose to Katakuri, it's often because they got lucky in life. That's the problem.
Thanks for the content! Great commentary! Will you be at Nats?

For sure! I’ll be there too! Let us know where you will be so we can stop by and say hi
Man, trust me. These damn triggers won't get any better in OP-06 lol game would've been a breeze for P. Luffy if not for those thunderbolts

@@atrocioustcgit’s terrible for the game. These triggers are stupid. Yellow gets outs to everything
@@EatMyPattys I personally don't think it's bad for the game, but it's an interesting aspect to it for sure that should always be under evaluation.
I guess the hard Thing is that it hasnt got Any counters yet or was to Play around it that much.
Nice commentary, keep them coming!

Anyone know where I can find info on that alt art thunderbolt. Looks sick!

Pluffy player whenever the opponent swings: 😐
“Bro you could have said pass” 😐

still waiting for those good banish cards for these triggers its really annoying especialy if the enemy is constantly healing
s o o n OP06 is coming (for yellow decks)
Dude looks so happy he won…😅
I’m sure he celebrated off stream
Kinda wild these players don't shuffle their hands. How much information do you think the opponent gets by not doing this and how useful is it?

Playing a card you just drew is information in itself and can be relevant in situations.
Perhaps when you're top table playing at that level and broadcasting, these advantages matter less.

bro why do JP players play so slow.......
We need balanced characters/leaders/Cards that can negate triggers. That's what is missing from the game right now.

Nah you can 100% play around triggers. If the Luffy didn't swing with Queen he would've had one more turn.

You can also be good and playing yellow, yeah yellow is stupid, but are you telling people to Not Play the best Deck when they want to win a Event?
