I'm in Japan and speak japanese, so usually watched the live broadcast. However, I always see the matches again with your vids, since you give good breakdowns, ideas and commentary. Also getting better everytime. Great work !
Thank you so much!!! I hope someday I become fluent in Japanese so that sometimes when they mention stuff (like trashing for the Teach effect) I catch it quicker! 🥹
@@atrocioustcg while I understand japanese, like 85% of it... some of the tech words still don't stick in my memory... like "rush" lol it causes me some confusions when I went to some standard battles. Stil, you are doing great ! Looking forward for more vids as always. Cheers
I'm getting annoyed just watching this matchup. Can't imagine how players feel actually playing against BB. Seems like it's the deck to beat in this format
I think it’s slowly becoming that. I think it’ll garner the same feelings as Nami since it’s such a polarizing matchup compared to the rest of the meta
Coming from Yugioh years ago, Blackbeard's leader ability reminds me of "Skill Drain". That card was banned for a bit, and even with the extremely fast pace of the game and large summoning now, its still only at 1. I can easily see Blackbeard getting banned, or its support cards getting limited at the very least.
It’s a really interesting deck & archetype to exist as a whole. As much as I would hope Bandai would ban a character before the leader, history doesn’t favor that outcome
It's more of a negate effect when normal or special summoned. But you can still resolve: During the main phase effects. I think that it's very punishing but it's not impossible to beat.
Im so hypes for op09, I wanna play Blackbeard so bad!!! He's the only black deck I enjoy (Mainly because he doesn't use gecko, I hate that card) and is so unique by disabling onplays
@atrocioustcg It's so strange every deck I want to play ends up bring meta... I picked Rp law because he was fun to play, then he was the best. Now I play Nami and it turns out she's meta too. And finally, I decide to pick up blackbeard since his leader ability is so cool and he isn't your typical black deck, and now he's meta! Not complaining, but what about coincidence.
I think it's generally a good matchup for Pluffy because you can still ramp with big bodies in the earlier stages of the game, especially if BB misses a beat on the removal!

@atrocioustcg just when you think purple is finally getting in the spot light......zehahahaha
@ to be fair, Pluffy is still really good!!
@@atrocioustcg lol yeah he is. But black beard is detrimental to all on plays not even blue doffy has a good time lmao
@@atrocioustcgBiggest difference is when people get upset with BB players they can respond with ZEHAHAHA

You’ve for sure got a good one to play!! He’s dominated the last couple weeks
BB is a fun leader! I been playing this leader since the sim update and so far my favorite black deck. (I love purple luffy too!!) ❤

@ you got a good eye for greatness 🔎
Everyone is crying about BB in these comments, it’s not an easy deck to pilot going down to one or two cards in hand, a lot has to go right.
I think it's usually a normal reaction when a deck that more than likely counters the deck users are playing succeeds a LOT
It's really not that hard😭,my friend has won two flagships since bb came out ,and he said anyone could pilot it fine with one weeks practice
I love your video and your commentary it s a pleasure to see all this matchups in this channel thank you
thank you for supporting!!!! :)
blackbeard looks so strong going into op-10 too with some of the new cards revealed
@@lithium457 i know that Kuzan is CRAZY
Why oh why did the 10 drop have to be a blocker, seems so insane xD
I know that card is absolutely BONKERS
I eat black beard all day as P luffy. The key is 1 cost drop law. He helps you clear out Doc Q and Laffite for free so you can pressure them all day.

I'm here to study PLuffy...I wanna be the very best....

11:09 thats not liberation, liberation hits 4 or less.
I know I struggled with those two in this video D: literally 3 seconds before I said it correctly LOL
@@atrocioustcg yeah lol,. love your vids keep them up
remember when you didn’t read what atlas does and then crashed out on twitter
???? I’m not sure what you’re mentioning, I’ve never faced Vegapunk IRL or in any tournament setting
that’s awakenedtcg you goofy lol
Yet another broken black deck. I'll live to play whatever destroys Blackbeard
a lot of people I see saw Doffy is the worst MU, but several things need to go right for BB to get it and it's not totally out of reach
