  • I ordered a Workpro and Duratech Oil filter wrench from amazon because my old strap style filter wrench finally failed me and I needed to get the oil filters off my Kioti CS2520S for the first time.

I have a 2011 Subaru Outback that has horrible access in way of the oil filter. At the last oil change, I couldn't get the filter removed with the socket that I normally use; it would just cam off the filter. I bought a Lisle strap wrench, but there wasn't enough access to use it properly. I was going to cut the filter housing off and make a special tool out of a 1-1/2" socket that engages the holes in the remainder of the filter. Then your video popped up in my feed and inspired me to purchase a Workpro oil filter removal tool. I used it yesterday, and it removed the oil filter with no problems. Funny thing is that the oil filter wasn't even that tight; the lack of access makes it hard to remove along with the crappy oil filter socket I normally use. Thanks for posting the video.

Yup exactly why I posted this, I had a hard to get to filter and it worked where the strap wrench wouldn’t

When you were removing the second filter, it looked like the white plastic fan near it was missing a fan blade.

Yeah it’s missing several blades, when I got under it to change filters and oils I saw it, I guess something got up in there and broke off the blades, Kioti covered it under warranty, I’ll have a video soon of it and a product to keep it from happening again.

On the second filter you turned the wrong way on the channel lock style wrench😮
Remember always in your minds eye look down on the top of whatever you are loosening or tightening.
I believe you used lefty loosey on the second filter because that work on the first but the second filter was facing the front so looking down on the front filter is key to seeing left loose right tight. Is always right!
