I have the same issue, I replaced all the spark plugs but when it didn't fix the issue. I came to know that it was a bad ignition coil on cylinder one. But I am afraid to buy bosch or any other ignition coil as everyone here is telling me that all coils have to be from the same brand. but mine just say BMW BRIME like yours and I am not able to find those. Should I just buy the bosch one like you did?
Hey all, I have an issue with a bmw z3 M54 2.2i. It keeps coming up with bank lean codes and misfires. Both banks and single banks, random misfires, but diagnostic says cylinder 5 is troublesome. No obvious vac leaks anywhere... fault has been getting more frequent, although the car hasn’t run much in the last six months... any thoughts??? Thanks.
How do you pull out ignition coil no. 4, I was trying to fix my 2009 BMW X5 E70 engine but it was too hard to pull out and I cannot even wiggle it from side to side, do you have any suggestions? I was searching for an ignition coil puller but found nothing….thanks….
Hii i have got a 2008 e92 Recently had a misfire in cly6 and it was a faulty coil. Anyhow i changed the coil and it ran well but recently while taking to high rpm the engine light comes on and when i restart the car its all back to normal. So, just wondering is it again another coil or any other issue
prabhjot singh next time the lights comes on don’t turn it off and go to autozone type store that will hook up an obd reader and tell you what code the check engine light is throwing. Might not be another coil. Tho after changing my first coil, every month after another coil when bad. So every month for 6 months I installed a new coil. I have all new coils and I recommend changing them all at the same time.
Adrian Viciana clean it, keep an eye on it. Too much oil and youll lose spark and cause more issues. Oil in the spark well isnt the problem, the problem would be why is oil getting in there.
If anyone can help me i have a 07 328xi and it will rev high and somtimes if i let it sit it will rev high and then shut off also has a check engine on
Rock auto parts caused more and more issues as i tried to fix them. Do not buy sensors ignition parts ect... Will never purchase again. Great it fixed the problem for a few months but your deffs going to be down on power
I ended up biting the bullet and went to the dealer. Right away i noticed a huge difference in the way it ran. The rock auto ones fixed the problem and all but there was still a slight mis fire. After i put the dealer ones it ran 200%
Smoove King theres a million reasons why the car could make noises or run improper. The three keys are air, fuel, and ignition. Youll need to know first if your running rich or lean. Do you have any scan tools? Can you make video i can check out?..
Sawier true. But that only shows there’s a problem there which could also be from a couple other reasons. And if someone doesn’t have an obd2 tool then this video is for those. But the point I’m getting at is it does not say “ignition coil #4 bad” it just tells you have some problem with that particular cylinder.
I Got A Bimmer! I’m glad you said that cause I bought coils for the cylinders that said mis fire but I also cleaned my vanos solenoids and it ran like a champ
That was real man love it love this I got the same problem on my car so I'm doing this now. Thanks dude!
Oil jawny jawn! My man!! Straight to the point..thanks!
Ya its about that time I need to replace 1 of my coils. Glad i found this video.
0:34 facts. That's exactly how my bmw sounds😂😂😂 but I'm working on mines now and think it's a coil. Good video.
Laughed so hard when he said, runs like complete shit
Thanks a lot bro, my car is doing exactly the same noise and a friend of mine told me to change the spark plugs and i did but nothing changed.
Spark plugs just improves a liiiiitle bit throttle response bro its never responsible in any car for this shit
Just seeing this homie. How’s everything going?
I heard it s better to change them all when it has to make their maintainance,is it true?
Late anwser, but it'll help others maybe.
YES.
If you have a faulty coil or sparkplug, change all 6 of them.
You are the MVP!
Good video bro
Thanks (from NZ)
Jo thanks bro, I got the same problem and tomorrow I wil buy a 1 new ignition coil to test.
48,000 views - you're a legend
Sound like complete shit!! Lol that real talk right there. I’m 37 and you taught me something. Thanks dude.

My z3 is doing the same thing, did you ever figure it out?

Is the best platinum or iridium spark plugs? My car is x5 e53
NGK
Did you ever get a misfire with fuel cut off?
Usually that’s the case
@@sammycrack0dirt thank you
Funny as hell 😂 around 9:53 till the end 😂🤣😂
good video
wait whst you do to it to sound louder pocked a hole where
It funny cause I have the same problem and how did you fix the light in the back
971thebigboss which light?
It not the brake light it the one above it. My e46 every time I hit a bump it cut on the I wiggle the wire it cut off.

Great video EXCEPT for the foul language.
Hey, what happens if the coil had oil?? I think my one does...
Adrian Viciana clean it, keep an eye on it. Too much oil and youll lose spark and cause more issues. Oil in the spark well isnt the problem, the problem would be why is oil getting in there.
I Got A Bimmer! Hey thanks for the response, any clue on what i can do to clean it?
Adrian Viciana lint free towel or cue tips if you can reach. Make sure your sparks plugs look clean and are tighten to proper torque specs
Maybe you should change your valve cover gastet
Oil in there means bad head gasket
Language is somewhat to be desired but this young man certainly has a quick solution to a irritating predicament!
No More Laka Laka Laka Laka🤦♂️🤣🤣🤣
best part @9:48,,,lol🤣😂😁
Thanks, i just needed the part number xd
If anyone can help me i have a 07 328xi and it will rev high and somtimes if i let it sit it will rev high and then shut off also has a check engine on
Sounds like you need to check for air leaks bro .. when's the last time you replaced your air filter ?..
Throttle body
this video was amazing!! just what i needed...had to find that fuckin coil that was giving me problems
are all the bolts 10m?
7ENTHDAY they should be haha
which exact coil was it ?
Mazi Mu it was the one that wasn’t exactly working
🎉If it doesn't work, changing the coil is because the fault is due to the spark plug.
Definitely don't have to remove all that shit to get to the coil packs lol.
Yes unless you want to be uncomfortable removing the stupid spark plugs in these straight 6 engines
It’s way easier if you take all that shit off
Rock auto parts caused more and more issues as i tried to fix them. Do not buy sensors ignition parts ect... Will never purchase again. Great it fixed the problem for a few months but your deffs going to be down on power
Chris_1gs what coils do you suggest?
I ended up biting the bullet and went to the dealer. Right away i noticed a huge difference in the way it ran. The rock auto ones fixed the problem and all but there was still a slight mis fire. After i put the dealer ones it ran 200%
Chris_1gs are you able take a peek and check to see if theyre Bosch or bremi
Will do but with that being said. I own a e39 but the same rule of thumb applies
Cool dude
Valve cover gasket video coming soon!
#6 goes bad first because it is the back coil. Gets less air cooling driving..
I didn’t think air had anything to do with coils or spark plugs.
@@sammycrack0dirt It will get overheated faster than any other...
What if all coils are good and still sounds like shit is it a sensor like crank or something

Change spark plugs
Car usually won't start with bad crank sensor
proper gezzer cheers
This shit had me fuckin dead 😂
I didnt have to remove the cabin filter assembly on my 330ci..
Don Lankford really? Howd you get to the two ten mills off the engine cover?
@@sammycrack0dirt I use my 1/4 ratchet and mid length socket.. removed cover and pulled coils out..
Don Lankford nice. Id say its more just for more room.
Ya it wasnt a fight or anything.. .. but if I didnt have a mid length socket I may have had to remove the cabin filter assembly
Lol my dude
You got the automatic lol
Jajaja no more papapapapapaa jaja
or you could just scan it with an obd2..
Shane Rush ...hows that working for you, ive never seen and obd code say bad coil.. can u prove me wrong?
@@sammycrack0dirt shows misfire code and which cylinder :)
Sawier true. But that only shows there’s a problem there which could also be from a couple other reasons. And if someone doesn’t have an obd2 tool then this video is for those. It will only indicate a misfire, so you need to manually check for faulty plugs, coils, coil wires, fuel injectors and fuel injection connectors.
Are you fucking serious?
Stupid people don't like this. Video!!!
