Performing a diy smoke test on my 2002 me e46 Did some work on car and after reassembling it just wasn't running right, had no power and no acceleration. I found my problem and it was any type of leak to faulty part

Replaced CCV Replaced all vacation lines Replaced upper and lower intake boots Cleaned ICV Cleaned MAF Cleaned Throttle body Put it back together : RUNS LIKE SHIT Replaced old throttle body with new STILL RUNS LIKE SHIT Next video I will perform a smoke test and check results....

I have the same issue, I replaced all the spark plugs but when it didn't fix the issue. I came to know that it was a bad ignition coil on cylinder one. But I am afraid to buy bosch or any other ignition coil as everyone here is telling me that all coils have to be from the same brand. but mine just say BMW BRIME like yours and I am not able to find those. Should I just buy the bosch one like you did?

How do you pull out ignition coil no. 4, I was trying to fix my 2009 BMW X5 E70 engine but it was too hard to pull out and I cannot even wiggle it from side to side, do you have any suggestions? I was searching for an ignition coil puller but found nothing….thanks….

Late anwser, but it'll help others maybe. YES. If you have a faulty coil or sparkplug, change all 6 of them.

Hey all, I have an issue with a bmw z3 M54 2.2i. It keeps coming up with bank lean codes and misfires. Both banks and single banks, random misfires, but diagnostic says cylinder 5 is troublesome. No obvious vac leaks anywhere... fault has been getting more frequent, although the car hasn’t run much in the last six months... any thoughts??? Thanks.

#6 goes bad first because it is the back coil. Gets less air cooling driving..
I didn’t think air had anything to do with coils or spark plugs.

Erik Tomáško sorry my friend but e46 was the first years I started leaning about these vehicles, I don’t know too much about the e36 models. That fact that you also are throwing a injector light I don’t think our problems are related.
@@sammycrack0dirt today I looked at the car again.. injector light was gone... No error light was light up... And when I looked under rear seats at feal pump there was fuel everywhere under the cover but both hoses where tightened and fuel pump had no leak
@@eriktomasko8255 hey that's your hose leaking. The rubber deteriorate over time. And check your fuel filter, mine did the same thing and found out that the fuel filter really dirty.
If anyone can help me i have a 07 328xi and it will rev high and somtimes if i let it sit it will rev high and then shut off also has a check engine on
Sounds like you need to check for air leaks bro .. when's the last time you replaced your air filter ?..

msinclair corp did you check your IAC? T shape looking piece located under or above the throttle body. Take her off clean her out and throw it back on

My car does this but when in gear. It is a manual transmission 318i m43 engine I will quickly go up then back down by 1k rpm when i floor it. Go up by 1k then back down normally sometimes it will surge with some shuddrr

No CEL. Read codes but nothing related to the issue. Check all vacuum leaks and everything regarding ignition Just a leaky injector Car idles fine. Eliminating all the above im sure it's a clutch issue as my car has been loosing power and it's flooring it and waiting to pick up speed.
Keshav there some fuses inside the the dcm box under the hood. Get to them and pull them out and physically look at them. Start there

It not the brake light it the one above it. My e46 every time I hit a bump it cut on the I wiggle the wire it cut off.

Hii i have got a 2008 e92 Recently had a misfire in cly6 and it was a faulty coil. Anyhow i changed the coil and it ran well but recently while taking to high rpm the engine light comes on and when i restart the car its all back to normal. So, just wondering is it again another coil or any other issue
prabhjot singh next time the lights comes on don’t turn it off and go to autozone type store that will hook up an obd reader and tell you what code the check engine light is throwing. Might not be another coil. Tho after changing my first coil, every month after another coil when bad. So every month for 6 months I installed a new coil. I have all new coils and I recommend changing them all at the same time.
