For those wondering, no I couldn't get the CD drive working by itself, i'll need a controller card.
he really went from plainrock124 to LGR and i love it
So this is how popular plainrock is
Real
Ha I get that
Amazing work. I was working 8 years ago in pc service. We had in our service a small warehouse with computer scrap. Many of this scrap were almost complete computers from 90s and early 00s. It was a heaven for me.
Gosh, I'm totally amazed! It looked very VERY horrible when you found it.
Once you restored, it looked like brand new! And fully functional!
Also, whoever stepped on the keyboard, I hate him forever...
make the person who stepped on the keyboard feel what it feels like to be a keyboard
Great video but seeing the keyboard get stepped on made my heart sink
Whoever stepped on the keyboard and thought it was funny deserves (insert expletive)
@@ChriSLanZ I wanted to scream at them to crawl back into the cave they were born in...
I say, a big slap in the face
I never feelbed when moden tec is destroed but destroying rare vintige tec is unexpteble behevior
Yes, why the hell they did that?
This is too cool, love to see life brought back into such a beautiful old machine!
one of the best restorations i have seen, good job bro
That's sick man! There's like a hundred of those things in one of the big connected school looking rooms of rancho los amigos along with chairs and desks
yes I've heard about that room trying to figure out exactly which building it is
Im currently building a sleeper out of that same computer case. Mighty have to take a trip down there for some parts. >;)
I just found your channel and I'm absolutely in love with these videos. You should scout out more abandoned places to find more repair opportunities
Beautiful PC, reminds my first IBM 286 system back from 1992.
Great restoration!
This was one of the most amazing transformations I’ve ever seen.
We need more dude!
This is amazing!
I didnt know these IBM PC‘s could run Windows. Also, this is the real pro gaming setup!
Damn what a hot machine!
I realized I'm in love with primal technology's format, not content. This gave me the exact same feeling, just with cooler content. Good video man ♥️
This bad boy is now alive again!
Awesome video, I wish I could find one of these!
this is some better quality of videos than you had earlier... damn
0:40 she's for the streets
thats a model M very valuable
You have earned a new subscriber! Awesome!
I watched you last night wondering when you would post again, guess that dream came true just now. (Australian time)
I cringed when she jumped on the keyboard
i hope you recapped that old power supply. nice find!
Nice job. However stepping on that model M keyboard hurt.... alot.
This was super entertaining, great job man!
4:25 Yeah, that's the way. Seriously washing, otherwise the smell and dirt is still there. Some clean with napkins.
Beautiful computer. Built way before my time. I was born in 1997.
1:25 old computers are with you
Man's a legend
Windows 3.1 would be perfect fit for that vintage PC, awesome video though.
I'd love to see more people restore stuff from Abandoned Places and give them a second life.
11:55 memories 🔥
Ahh, these old PC sounds...
AAA this is soo cool i want one!!
Bruh u just found scp_ 079
@10:24 Wow, I wonder who exactly was the entity that manufactured that here in Philipppines back then?
this is gold sir
What a coincidence it says 11 January 1992 and the I am watching this is 11 January 2022
:0
I got my first one from the bank I worked for - £5 or $6.50 thereabouts. I loved it.
Nice restoration dude😊
11:58 Beautiful
Great job! I love this keyboard !
I weeped at the ending. I'll be rewatching it like my aunt rewatched Titanic, to weep some more.
I have an IBM Mod. AAI5992 in perfect condition and it has been stopped for many years and now it starts but it asks me to update the date and the battery is discharged, how can I replace the battery?
超級電腦,讓IBM 重回我卓建豐的掌握
I have not seen Genius Paint for decades ..wowowowow!!!!
Bro just used a vacuum on a computer 💀 6:42
i love doing the same thing rebuilding old computers i do that a lot for customers
Seeing window 95 and 98 worst shuts down times of my life
congrats man. I know that took some serious time.
That CPU needs a math-coprocessor desperately!
Wow amazing work
4:02 good thing it had no sharp thing attached to it
Good video Shyzah
good work 😊
Shyzah just experience a leaf breaking the matrix
The leaf was floating
what?? 😂
ohhh the floating leaf i remember now lol
@@Shyzah 2:19
Yep
holy shit The Print Shop Ensemble...
Insane, they left the hard drive in. Im pretty sure that may have contained private medical records whatever company owned the computer was obligated to destroy once the facility was abandoned, or escrow it or send it off for protection.
HIPAA would have had a field day with these guys.
That was a nice IBM pc restoration video!
Although I am very convinced, in 13:59, i want to know where do I get these custom keycaps: light blue WASD and the orange-red ESC keys? Are there any links of shops or 3D models for printing these keys? I am also interested in getting older IBM Model M Keyboards.
you can find them on the Unicomp website.
i swear you are a goddamn legend.
from destroying technology to repairing it
This is very cool bro! Great video! And I was curious so I did some googling and found out that this machine is actually an old 386SX running at a "blazing" speed of only 20MHz! I wonder if that machine had the 80387 math co-processor on the board as well?
Im not sure about the math processor ill need to look into it. this thing could barely run windows 95 haha. I was too lazy to set up a fresh hard drive but when I do itll have windows 3.1 on it
@@Shyzah Yeah, Win95 is a pretty heavy load for a 386! 😂
NICE!
Very nice.
I did something similar with a Dell from 1996. Sometimes it boots, sometimes refuses to boot or to see hard disk.
Necroware has replacements for Dallas rtc modules :)
Perfect dos gaming machine
Wow old pc 🤩🤩 and old mitoner
i have one of those keyboards and i want to use it and it has a five pin port but i transfered it to usb but my pc wont read it. any ideas why shyzah
The saga continues.
Nice video :)
Them: *Steps on the Keyboard while laughing*
Me: *Balls punch*
I envy this computer, wish someone could restore my soul like this.
An abandoned mental asylum. Think that place would have been spooky! Did you find anything else interesting? Great tedious and painstaking restoration! Did you find any interesting data on the HDD?
What camera do you use?
so satisfying!!!!
The computer was looking like it is more Powerful than my 4GB Potato Laptop 😅😅
That is one happy computer, after so many years in the asylum. Greg Salazar would approve. :)
It somehow resembles the computers in my "high school" (as it's called in the US), back in the 80s. They came with those huge, 5" floppy disks. I remember learning how to work in "Writing Assistant" and "Filing Assistant".
Anyone knows what OS those machines had?
I think it was MS-DOS
great vid dude
I really like when. People do urbex with computers
Cool!
Jesus..... ISA cards, SIMM modules.... haven't seen that stuff in a great many years! Is this an old 486SX?
35SX
@@Tamay. Yeah, that's the model of the machine but I was talking about the CPU it was using. Sorry, I should've been more specific. 😂
@@SmashPlayz 386SX @20MHz
Woah Windows95 on 1992 ibm that so cool . Is it a 386sx or 386dx or other
Shyzah is one of the plainrock friends
Verry god job. Im from Sweden
Yes The 90s MAC
Why you drilling the screw
It was a security screw and I didn't have a screw driver with a hole in the middle so I had to
You have a good computer at home, she said
Did the hard drive have anything on it?
it didnt have a hard drive when I found it 🥲
buen trabajo!!
11:12 - epileptic trigger
¿en donde podiá conseguir esa fuente de poder y la computadora IBM'
Nice!
Wondering if anything was on the drive when it was turned back on after restoration 🤔
there was no drive when i found it, it was stripped
You sell it?
nope, still have it
And what about all the other keyboards, monitors and pcs that are there? You can just let them there idk
Theyll be tearing the building down soon so i saved some more stuff , spoiler alert :)
Vtec kicks in 🤣😂😂
abandoned aye? did you put it there?
Among us @7:33
Finally...
Hey you want to replace that Dallas chip with something better and easier with Cmos battery you should LGR builds he found better replacement for those chips!!!
Question how much time did it take?
Too much, 75% of the time revolved around the floppy drive
Nice
