Excellent :) To animate a surface, I was using geoshells : create a new geoshell for each frame, change the different surfaces parameters and make each one visible or invisible (with Visible in Render parameter) :) I succeeded to create an outfit burning animation with that method, for each frame I drew different opacity and emissive maps :)
The texture animation works great, but my pictures have a different color than the original, why? they look like in a negative filter, may I know why? otherwise I animate in iray
For a texture so how with its own color, make sure the base color of the channel is set to white. If it's set to any other color, it will blend with your texture. The Iray Uber shader has several other channels, all of which can cause your base texture to be rendered differently. Try it with a primitive as shown in this video and copy that shader to your surface to get the default settings.
I did buy and try it out. Works as advertised... But!!... When rendering in Filament, it only renders the first couple of frames in a series, the rest turn out blue. I could coax it sometimes to do other frames if I rendered a frame at a time, sometimes.but definitely not a solution. IRAY renders the series fine. The shader animation function worked when rendering with filament, just not the image sequence. Will experiment further...

Love the creativity, Kervala
@@Daz_3D Thanks a lot :)

is it possible to add an movie file to the base color or emission color?
i want to render a TV with a movie playing on it
Do you know of any similar plugin to animate The Camera property Frame Width? (Focal length, focal distance and F/Stop are already animated)
