      Glad it was helpful! I wrote the pattern and made this video so I'm always happy to hear when someone finds it useful. I make all my service dog Teyla's collars and leashes. I love having fun fabrics and knowing she is comfortable and secure.

    Where do you buy the things for the collar? Also how did you make the actual collar? Did you buy a collar and put cloth over it?

      Hi Kosa, We have kits available with all the hardware and the webbing at stitchinpost.com . You can find all the supplies on Amazon or at craft stores but you usually have to buy more than one. The collar is made with nylon webbing and cotton fabric sewn over. We also sell the full pattern on our website.

    Can I use the 1" hardware and webbing to do the xs and small collar? What about the large size? Thank you!

    • @Stitchinpost
      @Stitchinpost  2 роки тому

      You can make the collar fit any neck with either hardware. The one inch hardware may be too heavy for a small dog though or could be too wide to sit comfortably on their neck. The small hardware should be strong enough for a bigger dog, but if they pull the width of the larger 1" set helps the collar not to cut into them.

    If I wanna make a puppy collar and the dogs neck is 5 inches and I want it to be 6-12 inches to be adjustable how long should I cut out the fabric/webbing to be?

    • @Stitchinpost
      @Stitchinpost  2 роки тому

      For a neck that small you can't have that much adjustability. For five inches the max you could adjust to is probably 7". You need room for a buckle and to stitch the buckle and the D-ring. You may be better off sewing a non-adjustable collar and then cutting off the hardware to sew bigger collars as the puppy grows.

      If you mean the fabric you can use any that you like. If you mean the webbing you can purchase that a number of places online. We sell kits with the webbing and all the hardware for collars but are currently out of stock. We also sell the pattern with full instructions. Links are below. Hope that helps.
