Thanks for repeating it all for the little dog collar most videos like this you need to watch both cause they won't repeat it twice and now I'm all exited to make all of my dogs each a collar and I'm gonna make a extra matching one for myself
This is so clear! Your annunciation as well as the instructions. I particularly appreciate the way you showed how to get the measurements. So simple! I look forward to watching other videos!
I really enjoy using para-cord for DIY! This is an excellent tutorial. One thing I didn't consider at first, is that when it comes to animal collars/harnesses you should think about adding a break-a-way buckle. Even standard collars can kill, para-cord is an order of magnitude stronger material.
Thank you for breaking down the measurement. That was very helpful. I will definitely make this for my 7lb chihuahua. :) Thank you again for a great tutorial.
Love this!! I'm really into paracord right now (I've even got my own 'business' selling bracelets) I will definitely make one of these for my doggy in the future!!! My parents say when I get more sales, I might be able to branch out & sell dog collars!! This is so helpful & cute!!!❤️❤️🐶❤️❤️
hello sea lemon...your book binding tutorials are awesome. i have made my own notepads thanks to you. this is adorable . i have three dogss so this is perfect!
Love this video!!! Thank you so much for actually giving step by step instructions and NOT playing loud music over your video. I have 2 medium/large dogs that i will be making these for. I will send pictures when I'm done. However, i do have a question. If i wanted to do multi color 6 strand collar would it be done the same way? I have hot pink and royal purple paracord that i would like to combine on one collar.
For the smaller dogs 405 paracord (Type II) is generally better. It is lighter in weight, easier to work with, but every bit as strong for anything you will need with a smaller dog.
@sea lemon Couldnt you use a tongue buckle instead to make the collar adjustable? In case of some reason why an animal might change size or you made the size wrong due to the animal not sitting still or estimated wrong or the measuring tape slipped in your fingers or something.
love the video and i will sit down and do some for my dogs. However i find it kinda hard to convert foot and inches to cm to get the right length on the paracord that i need i would appriciate some help on that front :)
This may be daft but I’m always worried about big dogs that pull, does the singeing & tucking technique hold strong? Don’t want to give one to someone and then it falls apart 🙈 I over worry though!
Great video! Is there a way to make these collars adjustable? I know it would probably have to involve the sliding part, but I was curious if you knew how to do it. :)
i have a little 4lb tea cup chihuahua & cant find ANY collar to fit her. would you recommend the size you used for Taz (the paracord thickness) or something even smaller??
It's a beautiful and a very interesting idea! I will do it for sure! And you are very precise in your explanations, I have understood everything even if I don't speak and use english every day! Your channel is a really good surprise I am totally happy to have discovered it. One more suscriber
Great video! I just finished mine and it looks great. I just have a question about the D-ring. Is there a way to tighten it ou have it more secure post weaving ?
I really like your video - have to make one for my pup, too :) How is it if I want to use two colors? Just divide the lenght and melt two different ones together? Is the effect nice and does the collar looks good with two different colors?
Hi sealemon, this tutorial is awesome! Ive been wanting to do a diy for my doggies and this is brilliant! I have a question though... Can you use these collars when going for daily walks? Is it strong enough for when a dog pulls? I kinda get paranoid when the leash or collar snaps while on a walk. Am i the only one? Haaha. Hope to hear from you soon.
Inspired by the video i decided to make a paracord dog collar and a matching wristband but with a different technique, i did fishtail. Something that would have been useful for me to know: 1. for the collar, it will loosen up, at least mine did akthough my dog is only wearing it for 1-2 weeks now and he is not a puller. I made his collar without a buckle its a kind of choker collar but with a stopper so it WONT choke but stop at a length where it wont fit over his head so its secure. Now that the collar loosend up its kinda useless cause its just too big. 2. i did my wristband 3 times cause i measured it too loose cause i thought with all the extra string around it its gonna be tighter. Its not getting any tighter. As measurement i calculated that you need around 13cm of string per finished cm. so desired wristband lenght x 13cm = length of paracord needed again that was for fishtail not the type in the video.
i tried to make one of these for so long and I just couldnt figure it out and I really wanted to make one for my cousins dog for christmas so i just payed someone to make him one😂 he charged 5$ and it turned out exactly how I wanted most likley I'll buy one for my own pet😄

perfect video. I like how you clearly explain the length and buckle situation and show the measurement equation on the screen. Thank you .
This is so clear! Your annunciation as well as the instructions. I particularly appreciate the way you showed how to get the measurements. So simple! I look forward to watching other videos!
I'm definitely going to sit down this weekend and make some for my two pits. Love this, thanks for making it so in depth!
She has a really relaxing voice! Love the big collar, I'll make it once my paracord arrives!!

After searching for and watching a bunch of vids I stumble on yours. It is by far the best. Good tutorial. Glad I found it.
Love these. I make paracord key fobs and zipper pulls using cobra braid. Great gifts for family and friends.
Hi ! can you do more videos on different styles of collars using paracord?🥺 PLEASE! your tutorials are so nice!❤️
Another great UA-cam resource for para-cord knots, patterns and ties is TyingItAllTogether.
Great idea! Love the way you braided these up. They would also make great belts for two-legged creatures!
Thank you for breaking down the measurement. That was very helpful. I will definitely make this for my 7lb chihuahua. :) Thank you again for a great tutorial.

Great informative tutorial... I'm going to try this for my German shepherd puppy and my st bernard
All I did to make a paracord collar was get my dogs collar and wrap it in paracord. Done! It's perfect
Will the buckle snap if your walking it and they run
love the video and i will sit down and do some for my dogs. However i find it kinda hard to convert foot and inches to cm to get the right length on the paracord that i need i would appriciate some help on that front :)
YOUR DOGS ARE SOO CUTE!!

Great video. You make it very easy to follow along and understand. Thank you!
Great video! Is there a way to make these collars adjustable? I know it would probably have to involve the sliding part, but I was curious if you knew how to do it. :)
Should the d ring be heavy wire or light wire
You could also repurpose a fraying/old dog collar! Cut the nylon off the old one and you have a clip and D ring ready to use!
i have a little 4lb tea cup chihuahua & cant find ANY collar to fit her. would you recommend the size you used for Taz (the paracord thickness) or something even smaller??
These are so creative and cute

Can you make a matching leash for this? Thanks.
We don't use collars because it hurts the dogs neck.So could you also do a harness?
can you use anything else than paracord for a dog collar?
Do you think one of these will fit a Doberman?
Great video! I just finished mine and it looks great. I just have a question about the D-ring. Is there a way to tighten it ou have it more secure post weaving ?

Where do you get your. Color d rings and buckles at?

This is so cute, Jennifer!!!
Hi.. Can u tell me the diameter of paracords you use?
how do you come up with this!
i was wondering on the small collar where did you get the 1.2 from? for all small dog collars do we times it by 1.2?
No, its because the small collar uses a different pattern that requires less cord per inch. 😀
Love this cord! I think it would also look great on bracelets (for humans lol) great job ^^
Can these be washed?
what's the name of the type of rope you use
how I can buy this materiel,
I'm about to get a dog who is a large dog so this really helped
