Timberwolves had the 1st round 5th & 6th pick and the Warriors had the 1st round 7th pick and.....
Timberwolves selected Ricky Rubio and Johnny Flynn...
      Warriors selected Stephen Curry...
Basically, the Timberwolves need a guard and these were the top three choices at the time. Timberwolves had two chances to draft Curry, and while Ricky Rubio turned out ok and made a name for himself, most ppl have never heard of the college sensation that was the Syracuse guard, who looked like the next John Wall, which was Johnny Flynn.

I read that some people said that Curry's burden was nothing against some college basketball star player like whose playing for Duke, Oklahoma, etc. But let's go back again, Curry's father is a former NBA Player, and although he is trying so hard to get to one of the best College he was still failed. After getting into Davidson, some people need to think that this guy's mentality will be nowhere to found, but what? he has carried the team into the final-4. You know that after getting into Davidson we also realize that this guy's chance for getting into the NBA is like only 1%. So Kudos to this Guy named Wardell Stephen Curry II for breaking all the odds against him!!!
