this part of Corynthians comes to mind when discussing Griffith: "For such people are false *apostles* , deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, *for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light* . It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve."
When i hear reborn band of the falcon all i can think is "man if griffith was willing to sacrifice the band of the hawk, how pissed would the apostles be if he was willing to sacrifice THEM?" Lol
I love how angelic Griffith looks. Reminds me of the verse that says the devil portrays himself as an Angel of light. Really goes to show that Guts isn’t only going to struggle against Griffith, but the follower’s he’s amassed as well.
In the bible Satan or Lucifer was an advocate for God, not his adversary, Griffith is more closer of what God himself in the bible, he could merciful to some, but wrathful for the rest, not matter if he needed to kill most of humanity or only the first sons, now at days we having a morally ambiguous portray of Lucifer, from John Milton, Constantine, The Devil Advocate, Neil Gaiman Lucifer.
@@TheKeyser94you are wrong, the concept of satan itself changing over time, what you talking about is Satan from old testament who according to Biblical scholars is either Heavenly accuser or Heavenly attacker that work to God. But the New testament one is different, in new testament Satan is become the enemy of God. Why? Probably because second temple Judaism is being influence by Zoroastrianism.
@@TheKeyser94 yeah no he isn't closer to what God/Yahweh is in the bible. You clearly have never read the bible or only cherry picked parts of it, if you have this viewpoint as to what God/Yahweh is.
I think that if the people are going to realize who Griffith really is, wether it’s through their own eyes or a vision led by Shierke, this will be what they have to see. Question is wether or not it will be too late.
I can't get enough of the Berserk videos. Great job in the analysis and interpretations. Really makes you think and realize how much K. Miura was a genius in the world building and lore of Berserk.
Thank you for another video. Knowing that Griffith now inherits the ability to speak to the dead or souls in general, this has me wonder will we see a chapter where Griffith speaks to the sacrificed Band of the Hawk. I can imagine what Judeau, Gaston or Corkus would say to him if so. I also hope Mule sees the truth and sides with Guts or Casca if the two meet in Falconia.
The fact he sacrificed his own buddies for a chance at godhood should tell anyone with any moral sense at all that Griffith is a villain. Moral ambiguity be damned.
It always reminds me of Muslim religion, were they believe that before everyone ascends to heaven a false messiah will come down and try to sway the people against God, this person won't outwardly be evil and will perform miracles in gods name to convince people of his holiness
I think the god hand is sitting them aside for the next ritual which Griffith will bring early due to him basically breaking the intersist ( I think that’s how you spell it)
So if there is a right and wrong , or a good an evil .. and the path of a person can be judged as morally good or morally bad.. and the God thing in the intercists is essentially bad or evil ... surely there is another God, that by which judges actions as good or evil in the first place. Otherwise the judgement of good or bad is applied outside of a gods view . There's some kind of logic clue here imo anyway . Fun stuff
So technically god is evil in the world of berserk like blatantly no other option but hell. Well if a person is morally good where do they go? Answers that will probably never be explained now.
They have a video called Are there gods in Berserk? It is on this channel and it somewhat answers this question. To give a short answer, the God we have seen so far is the Idea of Evil and it might not be a stretch to say that if there is an idea of evil, there must also be an Idea of Good. This may be the force behind Guts continued struggle against the force of causality but there may be sometime yet before that answer is clear or not.
@@ChaseNada I watched it after this one. But it proved my point, it doesn’t really show the source of goodness like if there is an overall creator of everything, or at least a god that represents the hood in the world.
@@sethswint1396 Fair point but Miura did state that there is a happy ending to the saga so though he has passed on, I feel there is an opposite to the idea of evil or at least some aspect to it present that he was going to elaborate on. I don’t why people bring up Cassca in the eclipse and over look the first time Griffith grapes her. That was the second time Griffith grapes her. The first time was in the back of a carriage after he was injured in his bandages. Go back and watch the anime.
Oh yeah, that was a very important moment. Griffith essentially says Casca that he wants her, but she rejects him, which becomes another nail in the coffin of Griffiths motality (he sees himself so broken so pathetic even a woman that swore to follow him till the end of the Earth doesn't want him, which in his mind probably makes him look at both Casca and Guts as betrayers). Later once he gets power he doesn't ask and just takes what he wants, because now Casca is in no position to reject him.
