Nice upgrade and thanks for the shimming comparison, I love mine the way it is and the runtime must be good on the 3s5000mah lipo run for 1/2 hour and had 70% battery left at mid range throttle. I would like to make a throttle lock for the controller for FPV cruising. Any Ideas on how to take the RTR controller and do that? Nice video enjoyed watching.
Thanks for that. I’m planning to do the same. What esc are you running? I’m planning to run the hobbywing 1080. Also with the mounting the motor. How tight does it need to be? Do you have a gap with the screws on the mounting bracket?
I'm running the 1060 esc. Plenty good for that motor. It doesn't need to be super tight. You don't want to strip out the screws. Just enough that the motor doesn't shift or twist under load.
