I replaced with other pump and still it doesn’t shoot water . I exactly followed his method . Please assist .

I used a similar water pump in my rc boat for forced cooling - it too started to clog from debris and tiny pieces of weeds. I tried blowing it out - no luck. You need to disassemble it and clear the small check valves. I’m installing a small inline filter canister filled with mesh to filter the incoming water without too much restriction.

Looks like they should of put a lip around the hole in the deck and the hatch cover should of set down over it to keep the water out, would be a easy fix. Great video thanks.

Nice video, helped me get off the fence and order one... and the Water Cannon Pump. You may have made a difference by raising the water-in-the-bilge issues as my boat remained dry during both a "bathtub test" and during operation on a nearby lake.
Like yours, neither my tug or the water pump included tubing... could you please let me know what size you used? Also, there's a grease fitting on the propellor shaft stuffing box and you will want to run a length of tubing from that nipple to one of the hatches so you can pump Marine Grease into it. I also got the Dynamite Marine Grease and Grease Gun kit... but, there's no tubing included in it either... if you can, could you let us know what size tubing can fit that nipple and let us know?
One tip I would like to pass along... You should install a "Sea Strainer" in the pick-up line between the hull and your water pump. I plan on using a rc fuel filter. Also, after running the pump, remember to back-flush the system with tap water.
    Thanks,
    Bruno ⚓

On a warship the gunwale (gun ridge) is the uppermost lip above the gun deck, it may also be referred to the gunwale bulwark (planking) the strengthening wale. The holes that run through it that carry the overboard water are called the scuppers.

your pump hose connection is wrong, the hose that comes in from the water pick up goes to the inlet line directly in front of the battery, the one with the needle. while the fire hydrant is connected unto the line out located on the side of the pump.

How do you know that? Would like to know since I'm getting the boat and pump want to hook the water lines up right. Altho easy to know just stick one line in water and see where it goes and just change the lines out if it is reverse then install. But I'm sure it we I'll be explained in the instructions looks more logical the way he connected so you can have a direct straight line to the water guns. Besides it worked.that would not happen if it was reversed. The motor turns one way and the water came out. So you would have to convince me he had it wrong. This will operate one way and his way seem to work. I'm going to try his connection 1st.seems to run pretty good with his connection.

You hooked up your water lines wrong on the pump, but you didn't say anything about it! You'd think that HH could add a foot of hose for the pump after charging $57 for the pump..
For anyone thinking that the pump may be broken bcz the white tip is off on the suction side of the pump, it does come off, so it ok..

I'm sure I'm not the only one still "on the fence" about this boat. While the leak problem is "fixable", there shouldn't be any need to. The real problem is a "manufacturing problem", and one that Horizon Hobby/ProBoat NEEDS to address. The location where water is coming into the boat airways to vary from boat to boat, telling me that ProBoat has a serious 'inconsistency' problem in regards to the gluing of the hulls & decks together. The consumer should not be the one needing to fix the problem - that is Horizon Hobby's/ProBoat's responsibility.
As for the operating water cannons...yeah, I still think it's cool. But, at the same time, Horizon Hobby has really overpriced it. $50 for a water pump...even if it does have a mounting bracket for installing it in the tug...is WAY too much. Most consumers are intelligent enough to realize this. For those (ie. 'reviewers') who've received them free, they don't need to even concern themselves with the price...and HH/ProBoat knows they'll do an excellent job of "pushing sales"...but, it's STILL something that has been priced higher than it needed to be. The TRUTH is, it could have been included with the boat, the tug could have still been sold at the same price, and HH's 'manufacturing cost' wouldn't have increased all that much. Put another way, if the pink were to be included with the tug, actual manufacturing cost would have only increased by approx $5. Yes people - that means HH/ProBoat was making approx a $45 profit on the water cannon pump. The reason I say "was" is because HH recently increased the price of the water cannon by an additional $8 (but the tug, itself, is still $450), thus increasing profit by an additional $8. I understand the increases in the high-dollar items, but such huge (percentage-wise) increases in lower-proceed items is just "money grubbing".
In the meantime, until something better comes along and/or until HH stops being so 'greedy', I'll continue using my converted ProBoat Shockwave as my 'rescue boat' - ultra-low 1050kv brushless motor, SeaKing 60 ESC, dual rudders (yes...a rudder to the right, and to the left, of the prop), and two water pumps (which I purchased for less than $15 each) keeping the motor & ESC (separate water lines for each, one from reach rudder) really cool. The hardest part of the 'conversion' was determining the most optimal prop to use (ended up with 3-blade 45mm w/ 1.6 pitch).

The original tug boat that Horizon Harbor was inspired by is the 23 x 7 meter German tug called "Taucher o Wulf 8", built in 1970. The model measures approximately 74cm.
It appears to have been sold back to Norway in 2023, renamed "Jolle", repainted red and green and fitted with a crane. Still in service in 2024.

    • @maltheusaltheus5866
      @maltheusaltheus5866 4 місяці тому

Hello, this must have been decided since then, but if it can be useful: the range of the signal varies a lot from one time to the next for me. Between 50 and 300 meters. It depends on the internal arrangement of the electronics, the strength of the wind, my position in relation to the boat (maximum range in height and very reduced range if I am on the water myself).
