This is a replica of the HMS daring. It's fully 3D printed with 157 printed pieces, and 111 non-printed pieces, not including the electronics or batteries.
Harbor Models small scale 6v smoker test

Testing the smoker unit from Harbor Models. Running off of a buck converter at 5.7v. I do not recommend running any smoker unit indoors. I only ran this unit as a test for the length of the video and had an exhaust unit running in my shop.
Fully 3d printed battleship rebuild

All done rebuilding the 3d printed battleship. Incorporated a real wood deck made from birdseye maple. Redesigned the hull shape slightly and added heat pressed threaded inserts for mounting the servos and pumps. Also added the backlit name plate on the rear of the hull.

Water leak test and ballast weight testing. Ran with 18lbs of ballast added to the hull. will probably need to go to 25 or 30lbs.

Hello, I couldn't find the STL files in the thingivers. Can you upload to your profile?
I have purchased two of them and sent them back, none came with your sounds at all. you stated you had to make them in your post below to someone who also asked.
The ess has hundreds of sounds available. You just need to download them thru the ess program and assign it to the speaker.
I tried that, but none of the boat sounds will install, I get a message "Not compatible". I have purchased two of these and sent both back because of this. I did a search on the net and I'm not the only one who has faced this.
@@slickman1953 yes, the boat sounds don't work with the "land" speaker. But you can email the company and they will send you a converted file that you can use. I did not use them as I didn't care for how they sounded. I used one of my semi truck engine sounds.
Wow, it would be nice if they stated all this on their website. unreal. If you use the RCPlus software, it leads you to think there's another version you can use that supports the boat sounds they have, what a screw up.
@@slickman1953 I've searched high and low on the Internet for anything from Sense Innovation for an actual "boat" unit. I couldn't find anything.

Not at this time unfortunately. I'm also in the process of redesigning the hull atm to fix a couple issues.

What did you use to detonate/activate the turrets
The turrets are hooked up to servo's for turning a d raising the barrels. There is a water pump that runs to the barrels and is activated by a RC remote power switch that plugs into the receiver.

Most hobby shops sell them. Amazon has them too. It's the ESS Dual+ sound simulator.

You can email Sense and have them email you the boat sounds in the format to work. But I actually used one of the truck sounds for mine. One of the ones that look like a semi truck.

It was one of the semi truck sounds. They don't call them semi trucks though. Can't remember what they had it labeled as, but the vehicle pic looked like a semi truck.

Nice upgrade and thanks for the shimming comparison, I love mine the way it is and the runtime must be good on the 3s5000mah lipo run for 1/2 hour and had 70% battery left at mid range throttle. I would like to make a throttle lock for the controller for FPV cruising. Any Ideas on how to take the RTR controller and do that? Nice video enjoyed watching.
How can I get a boat stand like yours
Just have to make one. It's just pvc parts. I copied the curve from the stand it comes with to make the 2 spots it rests on.
Thanks for that. I’m planning to do the same. What esc are you running? I’m planning to run the hobbywing 1080. Also with the mounting the motor. How tight does it need to be? Do you have a gap with the screws on the mounting bracket?
I'm running the 1060 esc. Plenty good for that motor. It doesn't need to be super tight. You don't want to strip out the screws. Just enough that the motor doesn't shift or twist under load.

@@timkowalik my Red, green and black Shelley Foss tug weighs 32 pounds, and quite large - takes up a ton of space. I like this proboat harbor tug more convenient. A second boat for family and friends to also use. Can’t have enough boats, eh?

Now if you had a two year old they can ride a real kids quad not a battery junky toy but on a xmaxx lol or put a bigger quad that is like a power wheels body on the raminator monster truck 45cc gas one and then older kids can ride that one lol
