But I know lots of people are playing them and If they make money , the corporations will seek that. Just so you know, Capcom does invests into mobile. There's hardly any game company that doesn't considering how lucrative that market is, especially in the region of Asia. And Alex persists on giving Capcom shit for their REmakes due to remakes and the like are things he's not a fan of, but clearly, it's working for Capcom. Currently the market dictates that remakes, remasters, sequels are safe. I recall a segment of this show not too long ago eviscerating that new IP from EA: Immortals of Aveum. Reception of that game is a testament as to why companies view introducing a new IP is as risky as it is. Arguably, Capcom usually are relatively the most consistent when it comes to introducing new IP. Kunitsugami is the most recent one and Pragmata is one that is still in development. And as much as the reception of Exoprimal (clearly Dino Crisis-inspired) is mixed, it is a fun game. However if Exoprimal was instead a Dino Crisis remake, I bet that would've been received a lot better.

The microtransactions present in the Resident Evil REcent REmakes and Devil May Cry 5, for example, target those who want don't want to take the time or don't have the time to unlock the in-game bonuses properly. If one partakes in such microtransactions, they are literally paying money to NOT play the game. If say, one HAD to pay to unlock the bonuses precent in the aforementioned games, that would be a problem, I think. As for quality, in an optimal sense, for me personally, they've been consistently delivering. Don't know how it is on PC, but the console Capcom experience has been just fine. However, if you are referring to quality in regards to the merits of these games in terms of content and whatnot, that too, I think has been mostly positive. But as always, to each their own.
Crema, the studio behind Temtem, was very passionate and open during the very early state of the game. But sometime at their 0.3 - 0.5 build they changed their direction. Feedback remained unanswered and ignored for the most part and bugs unfixed for weird reasons (like an enemy NPC which got players stuck, and instead of moving this guy just a little bit or simply disable the fight, Crema kept it active for - I dunno - 2 months?). I remember writing an big post on their forum about how unfriendly their "events" are, which are basically a 2nd battlepass and completely exclude new players. There weren't many posts in the forum with so many good feedback and upvotes. And it got ignored. They shut down their forum and kept defending very questionable decisions. It's good that Crema is making this better and I'm happy for the remaining players, because Temtem IS a good game. But as for me, it's too late for that.
It absolutely sucks that Rooster Teeth is getting shut down because I've been watching since 2008 and seen EVERYTHING that they have gone through and remained a fan through and through. I'm heartbroken.

I am a level designer, I have built a stadium in a Triple-A game that you could run around in (on the field, in the seats, concourse, parking garage, roof, all that) and that did not take 6 months.
One reason normal people might want to say unions are bad is because companies also put up a whole lot of propaganda against unions and people sometimes believe it and spread it. A famous example I think is Amazon and the amount of effort they put to try and make unions look bad and against the workers wishes, even though it was the exact opposite.

After the major release of a game, traditionally, the size of the staff needed to maintain a game is significantly less than its development), and unions would force companies to maintain labor forces that are much larger than needed at great cost. 3) The cost of further benefits comes out of retained earnings (Shareholder equity) and this hurts a company's ability to raise capital in the future. 4) Other tech industries are not unionized, and their ability to out compete unionized tech industries in the U.S. could destroy the U.S. Tech Industry for reasons cited above. STUDIOS: Licensed Skins degrade the emotional attachment that a person has to that particular character simply because they only 'Look' like the licensed character but they do not 'Behave' like the character. TemTem only offered a Battle pass, and that only had cosmetics, no single Paytowin items. It was a pretty fair system to begin with. The in-game currency was even obtainable with a free pass, so I could get the premium pass when you grinded a bit beforehand, that premium pass was 7,50$ And the only thing U could buy. No cosmetics like in blizzard or 2k games. That was literally a fair shop to begin with. Now they changed it completely, no longer can you buy currency, U can only farm the feather's, old currency will also be transfered into feathers. That was a secondary currency already in the game only obtainable by farming and to buy late game items, like radars for luma(shiny) farming or breeding items.

If Borderlands, the Halo show, and many other medias are to go off of, it seems like we’re having another video game movie/show resurgence like back in the day. Which seems equally as terrible
Soon as I saw that some of the same team who worked on the Uncharted movie are also working on Borderlands, I instantly knew it was a lost cause.

WB doubled down on live service because it’s the most reward for shortest amount of time and least amount of money invested, even if the returns are much lower
With Live service they can report on returns every quarter to conceal Incompetence when with games like Hogwarts legacy you waiting years with no communication to investors
The way the industry is moving, you could run into the scenario where you release an angry review after one of these live services has already shutdown.

Just so you know, Capcom does invests into mobile. There's hardly any game company that doesn't considering how lucrative that market is, especially in the region of Asia. And Alex persists on giving Capcom shit for their REmakes due to remakes and the like are things he's not a fan of, but clearly, it's working for Capcom.
Currently the market dictates that remakes, remasters, sequels are safe. I recall a segment of this show not too long ago eviscerating that new IP from EA: Immortals of Aveum. Reception of that game is a testament as to why companies view introducing a new IP is as risky as it is.
Arguably, Capcom usually are relatively the most consistent when it comes to introducing new IP. Kunitsugami is the most recent one and Pragmata is one that is still in development. And as much as the reception of Exoprimal (clearly Dino Crisis-inspired) is mixed, it is a fun game. However if Exoprimal was instead a Dino Crisis remake, I bet that would've been received a lot better.

The microtransactions present in the Resident Evil REcent REmakes and Devil May Cry 5, for example, target those who want don't want to take the time or don't have the time to unlock the in-game bonuses properly.
If one partakes in such microtransactions, they are literally paying money to NOT play the game. If say, one HAD to pay to unlock the bonuses precent in the aforementioned games, that would be a problem, I think.
As for quality, in an optimal sense, for me personally, they've been consistently delivering. Don't know how it is on PC, but the console Capcom experience has been just fine. However, if you are referring to quality in regards to the merits of these games in terms of content and whatnot, that too, I think has been mostly positive. But as always, to each their own.

Crema, the studio behind Temtem, was very passionate and open during the very early state of the game. But sometime at their 0.3 - 0.5 build they changed their direction. Feedback remained unanswered and ignored for the most part and bugs unfixed for weird reasons (like an enemy NPC which got players stuck, and instead of moving this guy just a little bit or simply disable the fight, Crema kept it active for - I dunno - 2 months?). I remember writing an big post on their forum about how unfriendly their "events" are, which are basically a 2nd battlepass and completely exclude new players. There weren't many posts in the forum with so many good feedback and upvotes. And it got ignored. They shut down their forum and kept defending very questionable decisions.
It's good that Crema is making this better and I'm happy for the remaining players, because Temtem IS a good game. But as for me, it's too late for that.

One reason normal people might want to say unions are bad is because companies also put up a whole lot of propaganda against unions and people sometimes believe it and spread it. A famous example I think is Amazon and the amount of effort they put to try and make unions look bad and against the workers wishes, even though it was the exact opposite.

While I support unionization, as an Economist or Economic Historian, the traditional argument is:
1) Days lost to strikes cost companies money and can destroy entire industries (Citation: UAW Strike cost $800 million: The destruction of British industry relative to China, Japan, and the US)
2) Production Operations Management sanctions that labor levels should approximate to need (Ex. After the major release of a game, traditionally, the size of the staff needed to maintain a game is significantly less than its development), and unions would force companies to maintain labor forces that are much larger than needed at great cost.
3) The cost of further benefits comes out of retained earnings (Shareholder equity) and this hurts a company's ability to raise capital in the future.
4) Other tech industries are not unionized, and their ability to out compete unionized tech industries in the U.S. could destroy the U.S. Tech Industry for reasons cited above. (See British example above)(Unless unionization occurs in India, China, the E.U., Russia, etc., the U.S. could be surrendering its ability to compete in the global economy)
5) Unions could retard innovation by creating political pressures to preempt or slow automation that could reduce labor costs and inflationary pressures(price increases)

Licensed Skins degrade the emotional attachment that a person has to that particular character simply because they only 'Look' like the licensed character but they do not 'Behave' like the character. Which means the more you do this the less meaning it has(which means consumers will more likely NOT SPEND MUNEEE like with OJ and TMNT, especially when the characters do not fit the universe at all, like why the F'k would Superman need a gun, Fortnite?

TemTem only offered a Battle pass, and that only had cosmetics, no single Paytowin items. It was a pretty fair system to begin with. The in-game currency was even obtainable with a free pass, so I could get the premium pass when you grinded a bit beforehand, that premium pass was 7,50$ And the only thing U could buy. No cosmetics like in blizzard or 2k games. That was literally a fair shop to begin with. Now they changed it completely, no longer can you buy currency, U can only farm the feather's, old currency will also be transfered into feathers. That was a secondary currency already in the game only obtainable by farming and to buy late game items, like radars for luma(shiny) farming or breeding items.
