that pretty much nails it #respect
Fred Drouven Thanks Fred... Bruce is a fantastic guitarist. This was Feb 1 rehearsing... Its Perfect now!
Please record it!!! btw where ru from guys?
@@FredDrouven62 We are from Western Massachusetts...
@@ColonelAngus2023 do you already have a new recording?
@@FredDrouven62 Yeah... No video tho...
Nailed it! I'm an old fart & saw the original concert in Dec of '73 at the Academy of Music.
Thanks Man! We saw that tour in Stockbridge, Massachusetts in 73' at the "The Great Riot Alley Memorial" at Music Inn... In the beginning of the UA-cam video of that show, You can hear my guitarist in THIS video laughing when Steve Hunter plays a little noodling lick on his guitar before starting the set. He has a very distinctive laugh and we were very close to the stage so we KNOW it's him. CHEERS!
@@ColonelAngus2023 I was there too probably one of the best concerts I' ve been to concert was a
@ the music Inn Lennox Ma
That was awesome, you guys nailed it!!
The Rock n Roll Animal version is the best with the great lead and you guys have done an excellent cover! I saw Lou and his band do this in 72 or around that time when he looked like the album cover…Yes, those were different times too!
Yes.... That's a joint in my mouth...
You guys nailed it 👏 👌
Damn decent for one dude doing the duel leads. As a fellow bassman I can dig it.
Thanks man... Bruce Knowlton is an excellent guitarist. He taught me to play bass in 1973. He also taught the drummer how to play in 1975. He was a drum student before picking up guitar. Cheers!
Beautiful
Nailed it..... wow respect!
❤ brutal
Just great.
Thanks Man. I'm the Bassist. 😎
Excellent! Thanks
Glad you liked it!
Awesome
Brother Mike took the video.
Awesome guitar work!
Nailed it!
Thank you David (I'm the Bassist) Bruce Knowlton is an amazing guitarist.
Killer playing by all! Loved every second!
Hunter/Wagner are the guitarists on this song...
Thanks Gordie... I checked out some videos with you and Caroline... Great Sound. She has a fantastic voice too.
I have to admit I was skeptical when I followed the link here from "another" Sweet Jane performance video, however Tawdry have really captured the soul of the original recording. Kudos to all!
Thanks Mate. We appreciate the high praise. I'm the bassist. We worshiped this band since the early 70's. Prakash John was the bassist at my first concert (Lou Reed) in 1973-4 at The Music Inn Stockbridge, Mass. The deputies at the gate gave us each a trash bag to fill with waste from the parking lot to earn free admission... Ah... Memories! This is only 3, of a 5 piece band rehearsing the rhythm section the night before. No lead vox or keys. Also... The lead guitarist in this video taught the drummer and me how to play. We have been together as a band since 1973... Cheers!
@@ColonelAngus2023 well I m high not of reefer and I am giving you praise.
Check out the whole band live. Fast forward 4:00 minutes for the beginning of the music. ua-cam.com/video/_PkmOaooNmM/v-deo.htmlsi=p_7_AyYATipOqafO

great version!
Cheers!
Loved it! Great Steve Hunter Intro!
My guitar player Bruce used to obsess over Hunter and Wagner in the '70s. It's obvious by his playing. I hit a few clams in this one because I had just relearned it the day before. I have it perfect now.
Very nice playing. Nice tone too!
Thank you. I'm the bassist... I agree, That $35. 2004' Squier Standard thru a $50 Fender Frontman25 has a sick, fat tone.
Fuckin' A! Brilliant
Thanks Man....
righteous! (the spliff is a nice touch, too)
and thank yew to the Col. for referring this to me...
Thanks Man... Here's More...ua-cam.com/video/RaXjueGQekw/v-deo.html
That strat has amber tone :)
Great job guys!
Wanna trade for that pg200?
Nice playin
Thanks Man...
Very good.....missing that 2nd guitar to fill the void.
Nice job!
Bruce Knowlton is not only one of the best guitar players I've ever known, He actually taught Me and Joe the drummer how to play our instruments back in the 70's...
Amazing!!!!
Thanks Man... (I'm the Bassist)
@@ColonelAngus2023 great job! Prakash John was my hero and you nailed his gorgeous amazing bass line. Congratulation!
Thanks for the high praise. Prakash John was and still is my hero. Clearly my guitarist was a Steve Hunter Dick Wagner freak.
I didn't do it exactly right in this video. But I finally perfected it in this one.

Très bons !
Merci.
SUBLIME...TOTALLY GREAT JOB!
Thats a 2 guitar lead...and that guy unified it solo!....incredible.....i play guitar...but that guy....has a big set of balls!....+....he sang!..damm!
@tysongarrett8688 Thanks for the high praise. He was a Hunter/Wagner freak. And... He broke a string but kept playing.
He also taught both me and the drummer how to play in less than 3 months back in 1973. He had many years of drum lessons and taught himself the guitar. He was 3 years older than us. Search You Tube for "Tawdry 2005 Live on the Lake" We reunited after 25 years and it felt like time stood still. Here's the link. Forward it to 4: minutes for the start of the music. My vocalist is fantastic. Headphones will greatly enhance the listening experience ua-cam.com/video/_PkmOaooNmM/v-deo.htmlsi=CLySpgC6dlT55kb6
Smoking rendition. You've been super for a long time Pete. Ax and drums right on target...Might you name the players all these years later ?
Bruce Knowlton Guitar. Joe Parise Drums. Bruce taught both Joe and I how to play our instruments back in 1973. He was a drummer before he took up guitar.
Bass killer
Thank You. I was just relearning this song when we did the video. I have since perfected it, note for note
I was just relearning it after many years. It wasn't exactly right in this video. But I finally perfected it. Check this out. ua-cam.com/video/Z2pKdxJ23uI/v-deo.htmlsi=3FM5TZYucbtq9yI5
Your guitar tone sounds great! What amp are you playing through?
The guitar is a 2004 Indonesian Squier Standard (No Mods).. The amp is a Fender Frontman 25r with a 100 watt celestion bass speaker. Bruce Knowlton is a fantastic player... I'm playing bass... I paid $35 for that Strat.
Theres a 30' foot swimming pool 6 feet away from us and a 30' foot ceiling in this room...
Is that supposed to be a Scottish flag on the guitarists wool hat? Does that mean this is taking place in Scotland?
No. Berkshire County, Massachusetts
When you make a hard song look easy...
Thanks Man... 😁
@@ColonelAngus2023 I play in a tribute band so I know how much work it is to make it worthy. If it was easy, everyone would do it, right? Hope you guys are still at it.
What in @@samhill6590!... 😁 We started in 1974 and still play. This is a rehearsal with only 3 of us. Keys and lead vocals were not present.
@@ColonelAngus2023 Man, that's great. Would love to see ya'll live. I've been with the same bassist since '78 (I'm the guitarist/lead vocalist) so we have that built in tightness. Funny, I'm 63 and play more shows now than I did at 23! Not funny, it pays about the same!!
This is my current band... ua-cam.com/video/B8PP28v0MDs/v-deo.html
I have tab for solo
A lot of people are looking for them.
A lot of people are looking for that. Here's a bass version of the intro that I did. ua-cam.com/video/Z2pKdxJ23uI/v-deo.htmlsi=qOxn8c5d9CopYHML
Shame about the boxy venue sound but a great performance none the less
There's a huge swimming pool 5 feet from the band with a 30 foot high ceiling in the huge empty party room. Try headphones and it will sound far better.
