- Celtic Mayhem performing the traditional sea song "Spanish Ladies" at the Camelot Days Medieval Festival in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Nov 16, 2008. Ty Billings - guitar and lead vocals, Jack Stamates - fiddle, Martyn Wylde - bass guitar.
Loved it, especially the guy playing the car horn in the background.
I adore this song and this is a wonderful rendition!
This is just beautiful, I never got around learning the lyrics of this shanty but these guys have such a great arrangement I listened to it over and over again. I'm much into medieval folk sounds, I very much enjoyed this (and still am).
One of the best versions on Y/T Bravo!!!
oh I love the fiddle in this
very well done, i realy love this type of music. shame i couldn't of been there to listen to it live, once again Well Done!
Well played gents! Really feels like it brings back vitality to the British!! We need this sung in all pubs around England! hahahaha! cheers!
LOVE THE FIDDLERS SHOES :). Great arrangement guys, cheers for posting it!
Love the costumes and the sound, lovely harmonies
Very nice. I especially love their feet especially the curly topped boots
Great arrangement, superb fiddling. Sea Shanties are the new Rock 'n' Roll
Bloody fantastic !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you, we'll be sure to pass it on to them. They do seem to have a great time up on stage. Best of luck with the sea shanties.
beautiful
Beautiful cover by our Colonial cousins, and very nice to hear Ushant and Scilly pronounced correctly!
Great rendition lads. I enjoined heartedly in song and alas my barrel ran dry.. :)
Until the morn!
Thanks!
i like the way u guys sing it, better than the more classical sounding recording. I like it espically the way Quinn sings it in jaws
@redge89 Every culture explores other cultures. Plenty of American folk songs have been sung all over the world and plenty of non-American folk songs have been sung in the US. We do celebrate our history but songs like these are so great they cross seas! And btw this isn't a "day out" in America lol it's a Renaissance Faire, which I've never been too..=D
oh my god, I love it
Goodly done Mates! HUZZAH!
very nice!!!
Lovely =D
Genial.
Quint nods in silent approval
Nice.
@redge89 America's folk history is English to a large extent. The English created the nation of America, and America's culture is largely anglo-saxon.
The British and the Americans share a lot of culture
I'm related to Captain ......... From 1702.
Lovely song like, but why are they dressed up like Hob-Goblin's from Middle Earth or somewhere?
Nice, you're still going to need a bigger boat;
Me gusta la interpretación pero que poco apropiada la ambientación y el vestuario, por Dior.
What? Don't you realize the USA shares a common culture with many European countries?
