Tusk is easily one of the top “Fates Worse Than Death”.
It’s in the ‘Fates worse than death’ universe with Human Centipede
this would be an interesting video...
like "top 5 fates worse than death in movies"
@@makaylar.6722 That is definitely a video that already exists. LOL. Probably in several versions.
Martyrs. Definitely Martyrs.
@@thekawaiislartibartfast42 what’s Martyrs? I don’t do well with body horror but I’m morbidly curious.
Why couldn’t he have just, you know, go and gotten an actual walrus? It seems like less trouble to attain an actual walrus, than surgically altering a human being to look like a walrus, when walrus’s are an actual thing that still exists.
i havent seen the movie personally (just not interested. i know medical people and research medical topics as a hobby so its hard not to get too nitpicky even with what ive seen in reviews) but what i have seen others say because this is a reasonable question anyone would ask at first is that his mr. tusk was more human than other walruses. that is hearsay tho so maybe he just thought it would be fun who knows..
@@the_homun_system This could very well be it. Plus in the movie he does say man is the most dangerous animal, so maybe he wanted to fight a manmade walrus for this very reason.
Its simple, he didnt want to hurt a Walrus. He likes them and hates humans.
well howard had a disturbed mind, he was heavily abused as a child and went through a lot in his life
I can now add being drugged by a psychotic scientist and surgically turned into a walrus to my irrational fears list.
Yep, me too. I’m also now afraid of real walruses!
@@sockgoblin2942 those bastards were always scary...ion trust no murderous sea sausage
"perfectly rational fears list"
@@abirb7140 Make sure you specify the murderous sea sausages with ice pick teeth, otherwise I might think you meant a leopard seal
Completely rational. The chances are very slim but it would be horrifying.
I’m wondering how the killer kept Justin (-‘s character) alive through multiple extensive surgeries without assistants, and nurses for postop care, and many many units of blood, and how did he match the extra skin to prevent rejection without lab analysis, and then i realized i may be missing the point
I was also having those thoughts. Also what was the killer's walrus suit made of? Because if it's identical to Justin's massacred body, it has to be human skin right? But like wouldn't the skin start to decompose and even turn into leather? How recently was the skin suit made? How is this more terrifying than the actual body horror to me?
it stops being horrifying when you realise it would never work.
It's like a typical horror/sci-fi/zombie/fantasy story. If you try to analyze how it might happen in real life, the honest answer is it couldn't. They are meant to be entertainment, nothing more. That's why having a laugh at the absurdity, especially of this story would be okay. Just like laughing about zombies, or vampires, or ghosts at Halloween is just fun. In fact now I want a t-shirt that says, "You will be a walrus, or you will be nothing." People won't understand unless they know the movie.
I'm still wondering what he did with the walrus penis
I just don't understand why he didn't just tie him up, like tie his legs toghetehr and put him in a walrus suit, it's so much easier 😂.
But I guess we really needed the disgusting human skin walrus
"Is the human indeed a walrus at heart?", "YOU WILL BE A WALRUS OR YOU WILL BE NOTHING", "walrus dont/never cry". So many memorable sentences, all good for a tshirt.
The second one pls I’m dead
All reasonable tattoo ideas too
@@davidsantiagotate7380 no doubt
Walrus or BUST!!
"I don't wanna die in Canada!"
" You'll be a walrus or you will be nothing at all. " Honestly, being able to deliver a line like that so well is really quite impressive. Highly quotable...!
I used to brag about being immune to horror movies and then I got a full blown panick attack watching the trailer, just the trailer for tusk and it wasn't until I read I have no mouth and I must scream that I realized I am terrified of a specific type body horror.
Everybody is afraid of something
Body horror is a different animal when it comes to the horror movie genres… it’s the disturbing aspects of it that make them not a very enjoyable experience, at least for me.
@@whitneybaxter3299 An absolutely unenjoyable experience for me lol
Yet I keep torturing myself by watching these things because I want to be here for *the story* and *the cinematography* and *the acting* while covering half of the screen with my hands to keep myself from wanting to throw up everytime someone sews a mouth shut or turns a body into a blob. Human beings are incredible.
Same. I'm usually open to watch most horror movies at least once, but I saw Ryan Hollinger's video about this one and nearly puked like 3 times. I realized I was never gonna make it through the whole thing
@@mariaah3073 I get it, for some people “it’s hurts so good” lol 😂
This movie is like poetry. From him saying he doesnt need both legs after watching Kill Bill kid cut his leg off to later loosing a leg and freaking out to the the 'walrusses never cry' line and him crying at the end to show he's still human. It's beautiful yet horrible at the same time I love it!
TUSK is pure pure pure body horror and made me never want to visit a zoo :(
I never knew I was sensitive to body horror. Haha. Learned something new
@@obsessedweirdoo6922 It's okay, you're not alone. I've known for years. Discovered it with human centipede. Thinking about it still troubles me to this day.
Disturbing body horror like this always haunts my mind for a week or two after I see it. Super gross
Seing a normal walrus would be never the same anymore....😫😫
tusk’s body horror and the loss of autonomy is genuinely horrifying for about two seconds, then you realize how fucking ridiculous it is
People were talking about how horrifying it is and body horror is something that usually bothers me a lot but tusk doesn’t as much? It’s a level of ridiculous that I just can’t buy into so I can’t really do anything but laugh at it.
I think its meant to be comedic
@@nyassaisleaving990I’m like the exact opposite this is one of the only movies where I’m like wtaf
@@nyassaisleaving990The old mans reasons and ideals are absolutely ridiculous but i think the premise is actually horrifying.
Its ridiculous when you see Wallace suddenly morphed into a weird human Waleus hybrid but hes not... He's a human mutilated and stuffed into a walrus suit made of human skin being held captive by a man with a *Walrus* fetish.
You can alter it a little and have a true S tier horror film.
You can have a dude have an obsession with someone and their obsession goes beyond that of affection and adoration but its a perverse love. They kidnap someone, they mutilate someone, so they cant fight back, sew their mouth shut so they cant complain (but its reversable, so maybe they wont mind anymore and the weirdo will reverse it, and you can see how far gone they are) and explore how far the body mutilation goes.
The body mutilation went pretty quickly in this movie but if it took longer, and you can see the person slowly degrading you can see them become something entirely different that would be horrific.
I saw the walrus scene when I was like 11. Safe to say, I can barely look at a photo of this movie without panicking.
I’ve never watched this movie but I’ve seen tons of people do commentary vids on it and seen plenty of stills from the movie and goddamn is it disturbing
I must apologize about the spittake laughter I did for your comment.
Hey buddy, I say it when I was 13. I feel your pain. Now though....I just laugh at it. My brain doesn't know how to process it.
i'm so sorry oh my god
me too
I really think the fact they didn't reconstruct him at the end shows there wasn't enough human left to fix.
The crying shows he has a soul and is still in there somewhere but he was already too far gone for anyone to help him.
Ah, Tusk. Tusk is one of those movies that sounds impossibly ridiculous and stupid based on hearing the premise, but it’s only when you’re entrenched in watching it that you really just… Understand the horror of it. I will never forget my experience watching Tusk.
I legit got to the reveal of the “walrus” and understood how it happened, nearly puked, and never finished the movie
I'm a little confused as to how people can find it funny. I understand laughing at the PREMISE but seeing the actual...execution? Horrifying!!!
@@CapriScorn_Rising SAME. This is like the one movie I couldn’t finish because it was so upsetting. I could handle more extreme movies just fine but like... this movie wasn’t funny, it was just cruel and miserable.
I’m glad to hear I’m not alone in this. I read the synopsis a while back, laughed out loud because it sounded absurd and funny, then actually read the details and watched the trailer and felt sickened. Gave me human centipede vibes all over again - another film I will never watch for as long as I live. These things and body horror truly disturb me like no other
I found it confusingly funny, uncomfortable and disturbing all at the same time. I was so confused what I was supposed to feel watching it.
Whether it's considered a good movie or not, it's difficult to hit this exact vein of horrifying, funny, and sad. Kevin Smith deserves some recognition for that.
*And* hilarious, the scene where the walrus-abomination is revealed I laughed so much
I don't know what's more cruel tbh. Being turned into a walrus, or being kept in that TINY barren enclosure :((((
EXACTLY!!! Get my man some enrichment!! This is not an appropriate pinniped setup!!!!
Literally everything about this film feels like a fever dream. Based off a podcast. Has child star Haley Joel osment in like the only adult role I’ve ever seen him in. Lily Rose Depp’s first film role. Johnny depp playing the detective and then reprising the role for a spin off. like ?????????
I'd really recommend Osmet on a flick called "Sex Ed".. not super great but I really liked him in it. Also he was in the Amazon series "Delta House" (worth a watch) and he was really funny on Hulu's "Future Man".
He was in an episode of What We Do in the Shadows too.
He was in the Entourage movie 😂😂
Wait, spin off?
Hes in the boys too!
I will never get over “WALRUSES DON’T CRY.”
I was so disturbed by what I was seeing so far but this line was what shocked me out of the horror by getting me to laugh and it got me to be able to watch the rest lmao
Tusk genuinely makes me nauseous, it's one of the most disturbing movies I've ever seen and I have no idea how people think it's a horror comedy. WHERE'S THE COMEDY?!?!
Agree! I watched it thinking it was going to be funny and it was just disgusting.
Kevin Smith made it, he has no concept of comedy
There is definitely jokes in there and really it's one of those things where if body horror doesnt fuck you up you can see the funny parts but omg the body horror element is so fucking fucked I can totally see the nightmare fuel
I think the “comedy” is the idea sans the horror is .. literally everything else.
honestly johnny depps role was the only character who i felt was comedic
Fun fact, a guy I went on a date with insisted we watch this. We were the only two in the audience and it was our only date. 😅
Yeah, I feel like this is a date movie you save for someone you KNOW likes stuff like this. Def not a first date movie.
Half of this is just Amanda being in Canadian distress, I love it.
Being a Shook Canuck?
This actually made me feel sick to the stomach. There's something about the body horror that my body just completely rejected
I've still never seen the movie, only watched UA-cam reviews and it kept me up for weeks. I still can't even think about it without anxiety.
Just the horror of being kidnapped and mutilated like that fucked me up
Same Jovan, same...
*shudders*
Me too! Took me 2 days to finish this video… it kept me up at night but I figured finishing her video would easy my mind. Now that I know the ending hopefully I can stop thinking about it lol
You guys aren't alone. Stuff like this really bothers me.
Nonconsensual body modification is the only horror that I can't get over.
I am a glutton for body-horror. I love the stuff, especially when it deals with metamorphoses and utilises practical effects. Cronenberg's "The Fly", John Carpenter's "The Thing", Kostanski's and Gillespie's "The Void"...
I saw "Tusk" once. I don't want to ever see it again, and the only thing that soothes the pain is watching others share in the trauma.
Much as the weepy manchild has fallen from grace as of recent, I cannot deny that he created something wonderfully deranged here.
My friend stumbled onto this movie by accident and she was scarred for life by it. I've only seen reviews, but I understand because body horror freaks us both out. We ended up swearing to each other that if anything like this happened to us and it couldn't be reversed (still calling bullshit on them not even trying because I'm sure at least some restoration could be done), then we would mercy kill each other, like /good/ friends.
Anyway, this movie is bizarre and I love it for that but also refuse to watch it alone XD
Hey guys my SCREAM video was Age-Restricted so it would EXTRA mean a lot if you checked it out and shared with anyone you thought might enjoy it. In the meantime I hope nothing you see here today traumatizes you.
EDIT: They reversed the restriction! Thanks everyone
I mean, you did put the walrus in the thumbnail...
I really enjoyed the scream video its one of my favorites so far
Surprised that it was age restricted! It didn't feel all that intense to me. It was quite interesting, I haven't seen any of the Scream films, but the video introduced me to what they're about
I made it 12 minutes, but I can't watch any more. I've gotten better with horror in general, still can't handle body horror (and yes, I stopped at an incredibly tame part) I'll leave a second comment and like the video, hopefully that will counterbalance the dip.
I'll loop the SCREAM video tonight as well. I'm also realzing how unecessary this comment is. Oh well.
You Da Best.
@@luthientinuviel3883 Yeah I'm trying to get in touch with someone to check it over again and see if its just a wayward clip that's too graphic for them
"Whats in the tea? There's something in the tea!" My child, there is ALWAYS somehting in the tea.
Yep, this one was traumatizing. After watching it the first time I thought "yeah I'm never going to watch this again." Then a couple years later I showed it to someone in an "I'll show you the weirdest movie" competition 😅 and after watching it a second time I thought "I need to own this" and now it's in my collection.
But did you win the competition tho?
Commenting because I need to know if you won
Something you can now whip out at the next family reunion. They'll love you for it.
Perfume: The Story of a murderer is the weirdest movie I've ever seen...
I did but it's difficult to remember what other movies we watched other than this, Color Out of Space, and May (which was one of my choices too.) There were a lot of weird ones but this definitely was the winner 🏆 lol
This movie scarred me so badly 😭 I watched this with my mom, sister, and boyfriend, and I think we all silently agreed to never talk about it ever again. I keep it tucked very far away and avoid any walrus imagery as much as possible.
would you say you keep it *tusked* away? 😃
@@summerdawn4060 💀 Lmao I don't think I could've asked for a better response than this 🤣 you definitely left me blubbering with how hard I laughed at that
let’s all pray for amanda after her experiencing the disturbing mess that is tusk.
Yeeep. It was disturbing enough just seeing parts of it here.
Johnny Depp’s daughter was also one of the clerks at the convenient store. This film was so weird! I watched it out of morbid curiosity. Loved your video! 😂❤️
Funfact Kevin smith is actually pretty good friends with Johnny depp there daughters went to the same school as kids and were and I’m pretty sure still are best friends
I mean, she says this at the end of the video?
If you loved the video how did you miss her pointing out Lily Rose Depp? 🤔
@@vulpixle9659 this was also mentioned in the video wtf
"Everything that happens in this movie is Québec's fault!"
How dare you Amanda, we loved you! On the other hand, we accept Johnny Depp as one of us, anytime!
✨Johnny depp✨
Well, as a Canadian, everything is Quebec's fault
when i was in middle school my sister stayed in a few different treatment centers for eating disorders and at one of them, for reasons unknown, the staff let them watch Tusk. when she came home we watched it together and i really liked it, just because of how absurd and ultimately horrifying the premise is
Why are Wallace`s friends feeding him fish at the end? He is still a HUMAN not a Walrus. Give this man something good to eat! Like a Pizza!
I know right. It's like they found him, didn't call the police, and decided to just dump him somewhere and leave. Either kill him, or get him a medical doctor and some therapy. It's beyond cruel to just dump him in an enclosure and leave him behind like that.
Tusk is pretty high on my "Movies I Will Never Watch" list.
I'm so sorry, Amanda.
The things you put yourself through.
Also, "I don't need both legs."
FORESHADOWING!!!
Personally, I think Tusk was so messy that I don't know if it was intended to be genuinely disturbing or body-modificationally hilarious. It ends up somewhere in the indifferent middle.
I’m fairly certain based on the podcast episode where it was conceived, it’s definitely intended to be both lol
That being said I totally agree - I don’t think it fully accomplished either
I was genuinely disturbed when I watched the movie but for me, as far as the comedy, it fell too flat up against the… disturbingness.
I think that it could’ve been less heavy handed with the comedy and that would of probably made it even funnier, idk…
This movie instantly activated my fight or flight instinctive. The first time I came across it I wasn’t okay for the rest of the day and a few days after that. It’s such a visceral experience.
i always saw Tusk as Kevin Smith seeing the Human Centipede and thinking "how can i make this weirder?"
The music during the walrus fight scene is Tusk by Fleetwood Mac
i like how the biggest issue amanda has throughout the movie is _how this guy ISNT into fucking walri_
I love this movie honestly... and I never noticed the foreshadowing when he's talking about the kill bill kid in the beginning: "I don't need both legs"
Got an ad for vancouver aquarium with the seals and walrus's in the middle of this video. the algorithm strikes again!
I'll never watch this movie--I'm not great with body horror--so thankee very much for helping me fill this blindspot in my pop culture knowledge.
The worst part of the movie was when Johnny Depp refused to put Wallace out of his misery. There’s no coming back from that shit. A bullet in the skull would be mercy. But mercy is not a word Johnny Depp knows.
"I don't wanna die in Canada" iconic line haha
Boy, Justin Long really goes through it in his horror film roles.
This movie has ignited a crippling fear of walruses deep in my soul. I will never be able to look at the moustache seals the same way again.
Same, and it pisses me off bc they are such great animals, fuck this movie dude
Ikr

I went from pure joy at seeing Amanda content to heart-stopping terror at what exactly that content was.
I’m probably going to have nightmares for the rest of my life of being turned into a walrus now…so that’s fun. Thanks Amanda and Kevin I really needs to add that to my list of irrational fears.
12:00 the line delivery of "spider... a spider bit you" is so unbelievably good
I love how the cops just let him live in the zoo and he still has to live out his days eating raw fish
Yes! Did the surgeon change his stomach and liver and everything for walrus guts?? He’s still got human nutritional needs… i get the idea was “walrus or nothing” but c’mon
I love how most of this video is Amanda convincing herself the guy wants to get intimate with a walrus. It's hilarious.
Before watching this:
I saw Tusk with no context or prior knowledge of what it was. I saw the cast and assumed it was some sort of odd comedy or parody of horror, but no. I was wrong, I was deeply disturbed and uncomfortable the entire time, and the ending will always piss me off. I'd never seen a movie that made me that uncomfortable before. So basically, good luck Amanda lol
I'm still mad he didn't call the cops. Then again a guy who goes to locations on the signs in public bathrooms doesn't exactly have a high iq.
i doubt he knows the emergency number for Canada
@@sauleiwanderapfelstrudel it’s also 911. I could see him not knowing that but they could’ve shown him going “fuck! What’s Canadian for 911?!” and then dialing the girlfriend instead of trying it
I love that Amanda is laughing at the parts of this movie that made me freak the fuck out. Like when his legs were gone the legitimate fear that seeped through me.
I ENDED UP CRYING AT THE END OF THE MOCVIE
"Mocvie"
Holy shit. You brought me back to middle school. So my best friend got intro trouble because she made the tusk guy the background on all computers she possibly good. It caused a major change of rules on when students can use the computers 😂🤣TUSK defined my 8th grade experience 😂💀
For me something similar happened in my primary school with the possessed girl from the Exorcist. This kid persuaded everyone to play this game where you navigate a dot through a maze. When you get to a certain point it just shows you a close up of her face with no warning.
@@runningcommentary2125 For years i wondered where that face came from, and now it turns out its from a pretty big movie, i don't know how i missed it.
My friends and I did something like this but with sexy pictures of draco malfoy and snape we found in a shipping blog. Thanks for bringing those memories back, I feel like I can forget about tusk now and sleep in peace
@@runningcommentary2125 God I still fucking haaaaate the scary maze game. That experience alone is more traumatizing than the entire Exorcist movie
@@sofiipote7 you're welcome 😂. Sounds hilarious. Sometimes we all need to look back on middle schools weird events
I've had this weird fear of walruses, sea lions, and manatee's since I was a kid and this movie is very much in the not helping column
As a Canadian, the whole 'there's no sadness in Canada' bit cracked me up pretty good too
I’ve always been partial to the detail that the walrus suit body mods are totally reversible (as the corpses are de-walrused *before* being dumped - which implies the walrus hide is stitched on like couch upholstery, and can be removed as such, and not fused to the body.) Anyways. His friends know this. He just sucks so bad they choose to keep him like this. The movie never brings this up again.
The arm and leg removals aren’t reversible! That’s a good point about the larger body but it then makes me wonder what all the extra bulk is made of
@@alisaurus4224 no idea!! That’s horrifying, isn’t it? However, when wearing the walrus suit, the villain had the same bulk as Wallace, and he was able to rip through it like paper (or flesh) without encountering any barriers, so I think the movie literally forgot to account for that. I’m going to assume though that it’s murder victim meat padding the costume, but I think that’s putting more thought into it than the movie did.
I think hypothetically with the right surgery, you could unanchor the arms the same way they were anchored, but honestly, it’s been like… years since I’ve seen this! So, I’ll take your word for it :)) but IRL disabled people exist and have good lives without full arm mobility (also without legs) so I guess Wallace’s biggest issue would be mental trauma, after a lot of OT and physical therapy.
He should’ve tried not being an edgelord podcaster and maybe his friends would’ve googled it before dumping his weird ass in a zoo.
@@mysteriousnonamegirl7685 oh for sure. I didn’t mean to imply life without functioning limbs isn’t worth living, just that un-walrusing would require lengthy recovery and large adjustments to “normal” life
@@alisaurus4224 @Ali the Heep Don't worry, I didn't think you meant that at all! I was just trying to express that other people have been dismembered, and then carried on with life with some minor and major adjustments - Wallace just... well. You saw the review. Thanks for talking walrus deconstructive surgery with me, I had fun. Sorry for getting kinda pretentious and coming across like that, I just got overexcited, I think it's fun to get into the nitty gritty of movies! :))
Seeing you two talk so nicely just warms my heart
So this movie genuinely disturbed me but I think that's partially because I went in expecting a ridiculous comedy with horror elements and what I got was full on insane body horror (with comedy admittedly). I too will never be the same.
9:39 that little nod that says "i cant believe im recording myself saying this while watching a movie explain it to me so strangers on the internet can witness my torment."
I have a frustrating relationship with this film.
On one hand, it’s a bizarre body horror that’s genuinely disturbing and unforgettable. On the other hand, it feels like the movie just gave up after he became a walrus. It was an abrupt leap from losing his leg to being sewn into the suit. Then there wasn’t too much to do with him at that point until his awful friends find him.
The horror and comedy was so unbalanced that I got whiplash half the time. Smith didn’t help this by keeping scenes too long that didn’t progress anything. And I’m still not over that overly ridiculous ending that went for an emotion it didn’t earn.
I wanted to like this movie. Teenage me was so excited to see this film as I was learning that I really liked body horror stories.
But for every thing I like about it, there’s something else keeping me from loving it.
Tes the tone is a mess. Bot Red State and Yoga Hosers have mor consistent tone (one more horror, one more comedy).
@@TrekBeatTK
I have seen Red State and it did feel more consistent.
I think it could’ve been effective to show at least a couple of stages of the walrus transformation, with Justin waking up more and more mutilated each time. He would scream and swear and beg the surgeon not to do any more, promise him money, emptily threaten him with revenge etc. until finally he wakes up with tusks in his mouth and can no longer speak at all
It's the suit for me. Every time there is any movement with it, my immersion is just gone. I go from "oh this is horrifying" to "... Did you even try? What happened?"
I think this movie was made solely for the weird body Horror and the hilarious lines it spawned.
I consider it weird entertainment 🤷
Warning ⚠️... If an/a old person offer you tea, say "No"☹️
This movie is one of the most bizarre things I’ve ever sat through. Like it carved out its own little nook in my brain since I first watched it. It somehow feels like a real passion project but at the same time it also feels like they thought of specific scenes and half-arsed the connective bits.
I think this used to be on Netflix. I was morbidly curious but not enough to actually watch it because I was like 12 and didn't feel like gaining more trauma than I already had. Thx for finally quenching my curiosity!
i love your profile picture so much lol
Yeah, they had A24 movies after Amazon played them. Showtime has it and the A24 movies now.
You saved yourself 👍👍
When watching this I had a question running through my head the entire time.
Why a walrus?
why NOT a walrus? -Kevin Smith, probably
Justin Long as a walrus gave me nightmares after watching this for the first time. 😅 I had to make other people watch it so they could experience the horror I had. The ending fucked me up. I couldn't believe they just left him like that.
one time I was talking to a veteran elder goth who had worked on horror films for decades, I asked him what the scariest movie he had ever seen was and Tusk was his answer

Tusk traumatized me (I watched it as a kid and I was never the same. And this is coming from someone who watched the X-Files as a child)

honestly even seeing the bits of it in your review is enough to fuck me up. like i feel a little ill but your excellent reactions are softening the blow
Oh, geez. What a decision
On the one hand, I have to relive the most disgusting movie I've ever seen.
On the other hand, it's covered by Amanda the Jedi.

I watched the whole video with half the screen covered up but it was still a questionable decision
@@Severalorangepeels omg me too! I only had a fraction of the screen showing, but I'm still pretty disturbed. I'm glad we're on the same page, y'all, with this shared trauma T_T
I remember that terror feeling in my heart with the reveal of the walrus
So my friend came down to visit last year and this was one of the movies he made us watch. I was lowkey traumatized after. I was gonna ask what you thought the next time you streamed but now I know.
Amanda's genuine reactions to this insanity is fuel for my happiness!
Amanda is always pretty funny but there's just something about the real, raw reactions to this movie that really hits my ideal humor perfectly
Same!
'- based on a what?'
'... and now he's in love, I think?'
'you have to be SENSIBLE Kevin. SENSIBLE!'
Cannot stop giggling. When I was in my houseshare and we were low on money we would do theme film nights: Hannibal Lecter night, super-clever speculative Sci-fi night, horny Tudors night...Amanda and her reactions bring those memories back!
"I don't need both legs" famous last words I guess
Ok if complete commitment and a weird ability to make absolute insanity convincing is the measure of an actor, Justin Long has perfected the craft
With this I can’t tell Kevin smith should do more body horror movies or shouldn’t
hearing Johnny Depp describe "the first wife" is pretty funny considering his first wife
Michael Parks line deliveries in this movie are so chilling but at the same time so hilarious. He was such an amazing actor.
I almost died at "Wet your whistle, my dry little thistle", and then was taken to the edge of the afterlife when he started to ... weave his web about the f'king spider
Amanda is the bravest of us all. Truly after reading just the synopsis of this movie I was like nope, no thank you!
I used to work at a movie store and I was told " it's a horror comedy by Kevin Smith starring Justin Long" I was like cool it'll be funny...
I think this movie traumatised me. Like legit. Possibly more than human centipede? No. Idk. Maybe they're equal in the terror they inspire in me and the nausea they cause.
(I have C-PTSD so I can make the trauma joke it's fine)
I hope you can do an "Explained" video about Train to Busan (2016) and how different it is from other zombie movies. Great video btw mate.
"and then I really think he's gunna f**k him" I was on the floor laughing after you said that
So, fun fact. I'd always heard of this movie. I heard that it was weird and that Johnny Depp was somehow involved. But I'd never seen it. At least not all the way through. I remember flipping through channels and seeing it on tv shortly after it had first come out though. It was always bits and pieces and it always just seemed weird and not really scary so I just never watched, even though it was on different streaming channels. And then I watched youtube reactions of it. And that's how I discovered what all happens. All I know is that Kevin Smith's brain is really interesting. Frightening, but interesting.
After we finished watching this movie my friend and I turned to each other and started slowly and quietly singing "I am the Walrus", I can't remember if that song was in the end credits or something but it is a vivid memory for me lol
Judging from the comments, now is probably a good time to make dinner and keep this on in the background. I can let Amanda’s sounds of terror paint me an image.
i can see why this movie could be disturbing but honestly it’s so ridiculous i couldn’t take it seriously.
Tusk will go down in history as one of the most bizarre horror comedies of all time. It’s one of those movies you never forget once you see it
Great to see Tusk getting more recognition. So fucking batshit insane, it’s honestly one of Smith’s best movies.
True. With dogma for different reasons, her is going as wild and weitrd as he can, and i think dogma is one of his if not his most earnest and serious, i mean still very funny, but still somehow a gravitas of a christian movie.
If thats one of his best i dont wanna see the rest.
@@TheElly750 best from the last decade for sure. Clerks and his other 90s comedies will always be some his best work
@@marocat4749 LOVE Dogma! Every single thing about it.
@@marocat4749 I love Dogma, but I cannot make myself watch Tusk.
"You'll be a walrus, or you'll be nothing at all."
I feel like if I were watching this movie I, too, would wear a beanie. That way I can pull it over my eyes and not have to see anything.
Also you're a braver woman than me, I could never.
I still to this day cannot watch Tusk. This is the closest I have come to viewing it and... I definitely don't thinkI can handle the entire movie. The humor was great though
Thank you for making this video cause I can never bring myself to watch movies with excessive body horror.
Also who in the world took a good look at that human-walrus abomination of a being and thought "Oh yeah this will be the perfect addition to my exotic zoo!"
Hi Amanda! Greetings from rural Texas. Loved the Scream video, excited for this one
