I upgraded my stock halogen low & fog bulbs with "TheRetroFitSource" HID ballast & bulbs. Now contemplating doing another upgrade to LED lows. If you do that video, I'll definitely be a fan!
I’m about to upgrade the exterior on my 07 cayman. These are gonna be my first purchase, then new rear lights etc. I want to put a matching grill in the middle vent and on the side vents. Does anyone know a company that do grills that would match. Zunsport seem pretty close, any other suggestions. Love your videos by the way!!
I bought these too. They failed within 9 months. Both sides had LEDs off. Got another set. Same thing. I put the old lights back on. I liked the look of the new LEDs when they work, but it looks crap when half of the LEDs are off.
Hello, Steve! I'm disappointed to learn of the issues you experienced. I also wish I would have heard from you because I try to make sure all of my customers are satisfied. My product does have a one-year warranty, and if a customer has a continuing issue I more often than not replace them even out of warranty. Based on your description, cold solder joints had developed on the circuit board. There are a few events that can cause a cold solder joint beyond an actual deficiency in the soldering process. Excessive pressure via the heel of the hand against the LEDs' hardened epoxy lenses during installation is one. Rock strikes or a light bumps from other cars during parallel parking are a couple others. Although it’s not a common issue, it’s happened frequently enough that on March 10, 2018 I began shipping my LED spars/guards with another product improvement. Although indiscernible from the products' exterior, I’ve designed a way to further reduce the possibility of cold solder joints or solder-breaks developing throughout my products' lifetime. In lieu my original design utilizing a 15 LED one-piece Printed Circuit Board (PCB), I’ve redesigned the LED array to consist of 15 separate daisy-chained PCBs, each PCB with an independent LED/resistor combination. Each PCB is then installed in shock absorbing potting material, isolated from the neighboring PCB, greatly improving the LEDs' ability to absorb impacts. For any on my customers that are outside of my 1-year warranty, I offer a $99 trade-in allowance for their original damaged units. Customers can continue driving their Cayman until they install their replacements, the receive their $99 trade-in by sending me images of their original units each folded in half or cut into two pieces. whats the lumens on these? How bright are they at night. I am looking for brighter fog lights for better night vision.
Uncertain the exact lumens, but they seem much brighter than the regular fogs in my opinion. Thanks for watching!
