Dude, that last “You just outed Richie” as he walks past the camera was just perfect. Adam Driver just knows how to be funny. He puts that extra oomph. I love it 😂
Man, when it comes to comedy, Adam definitely doesn't play around. He definitely OWNED this sketch. I gotta say, that man really knows how to make someone laugh no matter what role he's cast in. I really hope he comes back to host again next season.
shoulda added he turned his life around and spent his last days helping orphaned children turn away from LA gang life until he was gunned down by said gangs. really make everyone "cancel" the actor
Never realized how adaptable Adam Driver is. He goes from tearing up while lying to a jury to channeling Mr. Rogers on a shopping channel to being an offended landlord with an New Jersey accent, and plays them all to the fullest!
Adam is the GOAT of guests in SNL. Aways takes it above and beyond. This guy just makes magic on screen every single time he's on the show. Pure talent.
It's a Christmas miracle to get a cut sketch on here again. Thank you so much. This was an enjoyable sketch - getting to see Adam do fun character work, and the buildup of Andrew being increasingly delirious over everyone in the audience reacting to him. The part with Andrew and Ego is great.
WHY in the fuck was this cut? It's outstanding! Even Yang can't steal the scene out from under Driver here. And I'd swear that Driver memorized his lines so he didn't need the cards, he moves through it so smoothly.
I like how Adam felt like he performed around the static camera work that SNL is usually forced to use. Like when he walks towards and past the camera.
Ego has been coming in delivering the BEST deadpan response one liners lately. This one, " No, I'm his widow....", and last week's "You're the one who followed me home and begged me to write about you". I see her finding a style that I am loving and creating a niche like this could hopefully parley into something after SNL.
Can we please take a moment to appreciate Andrew's comic timing and expressions. Not only in this sketch but the other ones too. He really makes me crack up with his follow ups and deliveries.
Adam does that classic Jewish/Italain New Yorker accent so well I had to look up his bio to check he never grew up here. For real...anyone over 50 has that accent.
Sarah Sherman is hands down my favorite new-ish cast member. I love that she always goes all in on weird characters and I literally lol at her lines when she’s in a sketch 😂
Great scene. Great satire on interviews. Wonderful writing and acting. Adam is such a fabulous and high energy actor! But why the hell did they decide to cut this gem out from the show? Praise be to outtakes! Hallelujah!
Honestly, Adam Driver doesn't miss a beat!!! And kudos to him and the cast for bringing this sketch. And do not get me started with the ending...seriously, tho. 😂😂😂 I'm speechless, except for a few good giggles in between.
Driver always brings out the best in the writers and actors and turns mediocre sketches into classics. In my book he’s already cemented himself as an icon of the show, perhaps in line as the next Walken or Hanks.
This is such a great idea. Actor on talk shows always whine about them waiting tables and their crappy apartments when they were starting out. It's a clever idea to have them confronted by their old tenant about the remarks.
Well, this escalated quickly. From talkback to reunion of the residential society to high school reunion with dead ex-bully to God herself in the frame. Loved every bit of it.
Adam Driver was good at portraying his character as a scumbag, just like a real landlord. Also, I remember Christine, she looked good in a silk robe 👘🙌
I wish her background for going to the show was "Jeff bought this ticket hoping he could apologize for everything he did back then. Since he was murdered I came here to do it in his honor, because bullying you was his biggest regret in life."
Frankly, I've been in love with Adam since he was on the serie "Girls", I remember when I saw that serie, I always said; "that guys has a bright future as an actor". Well, I wasn't that wrong.
this is definitely random but can i just say ego looked amazing tonight? thought it every time she popped out but this sketch took it. we love a baddie 😍😩
Honestly first time I heard of him saw him on screen was when the unspeakable trilogy came out and he really gave it his all, He nailed it. It was the story/plot that floundered. Since then I've seen him absolutely kill roles, gotta say my favorite so far is White Noise.. Weird movie but he just makes a presence. Top teir actor for sure.
Great sketch that deserved to be in the broadcast show. P.S. Did anyone else catch at 4:46 the older guy behind Ego? Pretty sure he used to appear as a background extra regularly a few years ago; the sketch with Donald Glover as Jurassic Park's lawyer springs to mind about something he featured prominently in.
Dude, that last “You just outed Richie” as he walks past the camera was just perfect. Adam Driver just knows how to be funny. He puts that extra oomph. I love it 😂

@@jean-paulgagnon8479 YES! Aww, haha, I do what I can ☺️ 😄
I really wish he did more comedy roles! He’s a really funny guy!
Adam gives 110% in every SNL skit. Get him his Five-Timers Club Card already!
Sometimes I think SNL is the only venue where he feels comfortable.
At least here he plays a character. Really not much of an actor.
He'll be back

Whoever wrote this sketch deserves a raise. Very clever. 👍
Whoah over here with the thumbs up and the things. You know what? I also 👍

Can they have just earned their money first lol
So clever omg like who comes up with "smug actor gets confronted by former landlord during interview" that's literally so random and I love it

He was actually mildly scary when he first stood up in this sketch.

His Undercover Boss as Kylo Ren was one of the best things SNL has ever done...
@@jergervasi3331honestly, the Oil Baron is better than his Undercover Boss skit.
That one was good too, but it kind of dragged a bit? The Undercover boss was airtight and didn’t feel like a wasted moment

1st time watching all of his stuff on snl and exactly! He is amazing.
He's good but far from the GOAT. You're forgetting like 30 years of SNL history
Adam and Melissa
Adam's delivery of "you just outed Richie" was an Emmy-winning performance in itself
Adam Driver doesn't seem to use cue cards much, he just dives into these roles as an actor, it's quite impressive
He takes the time and effort to learn the lines. Such a professional.

@LC-le9ew same. Think the dinner skit should have been cut. It was a bit meh for his range of talent

All those arrogant, pretentious actor gestures he does before the sketch switches to chaos mode were great
Not only is Adam one of the best guests to have on the show, I feel like this is one of the best versions of the casts in a while!
