Yeah, I thought it was great, too. Thank goodness for UA-cam. Before this the only unaired sketches around were in the DVD collections. And you can tell the audience was into it 100%.
My favorite part of the whole sketch is how Heidi shoots her arm out at him and then twists and drops it. For some reason, that movement really captures the awkward teenage drama club kid for me.
Probably because no one could keep a straight face. Or maybe NBC didn't want to air a sketch about an adult telling kids to screw each other and kissing with tongue. I think it's hilarious because I know these are all adults just doing a funny sketch but I can see the censors not wanting that to be televised.
I think generations are getting shorter and smaller. Look @ every single rapper out right now. They are small enough to wear women's clothes and some of 'em do! The Migos wear women's blouses on the reg. Lil Wayne wears skinny jeans from the juniors section. It's really odd. Men on average are under 6' tall and weigh less than 150lbs. @@ivans562 -- As this was filmed during the dress/tech rehearsal, which runs between 8pm - 10pm on Saturday nights before the live show, it's unlikely the skit was cut due to the cast breaking. Far more likely that the skit was cut for timing purposes. If this was cut and it's genuinely funny, there were probably other skits during this episode that were just as funny or even funnier. Since they began uploading skits immediately after the show, they know they have the option of still "airing" skits that are strong but can't be fit in during the live show's runtime. They were definitely all theatre kids
"Tell God gracias" is an absolute power phrase
I love how Will tries his best to hold in his laughter then turns away for a moment when Keenan enters the scene. Keenan has one line in this entire scene and immediately kills with the delivery. He can stay on SNL for however long he desires, I'll never get tired of Keenan. 😂😂
*KENAN*
And also when he says “back up” and Aidy breaks. His mannerisms with that line😂
Rare to see Farrel Crack
Awww i just noticed that cause of your comment XD sooo cute
I've never seen Mikey day break before but it's hilarious watching him crack along with the whole cast
And I love how Kenan doesn't even have any lines but makes everybody including Will break. Such an underrated sketch
I keep coming back to this. It may be one of my favorite sketches ever.
It's really up there for me. This one and the Secret Word game show ones. Steffan used to be a favorite of mine, but it kind of wears out on repeated viewings due to the same basic template used.
4:40 is the best,, full cast breaking lol
sameee
I bet the audition process for SNL is exactly like this
LOL!!! Good one!!!
Not if you make one Asian joke. Hahaha
John Nelson Not for the kids
It's actually brutal.
The way everybody broke when he told them to back up lmaooooo
CierraB04 yeah that was crazy! Was it planned?
Elliott Jones it was, he had to set up Kenan and Kate to come in, but I don’t think everybody was ready for it 😂
I completely lost it at that lol
I could’ve swore that Mikey Day was saying “what are you doing” to Will’s arm gestures, like the exaggerated back-up motion wasn’t part of it originally and Mikey pointing it out on stage made almost everyone break 😂 I seriously wish this made it into the final cut!!!
Literally the best part AHAHA I started dying
Mime suspenders is such a good line lol and Bowen’s crying get me every time 😂
“Oopsie I forgot some tape” THERE ARE TAKS ON THE WALL IM HOWLING
No you're not.
Thelema bold of you to assume i’m not Always howling.
@@kathish1549 listen, if you're the kind of girl who howls on a regular basis, we need to have a chat. we must go on a date and see where that takes us.
Highly doubt you would howl... I mean who does that even if it is extremely funny
Back off of my sis Kath. I also suffer from ware-wolfism and consistently howl depending on the moon phase. We are a small but proud species
Most of them break character and this gets cut for time?!! This was absolute gold!
Scribby that was probably why it was cut for time
Wait why they break I just saw them laugh
When Mikey Day started saying "What are you doing?" and then hid his break on Cecily Strong's shoulder was HILARIOUS…
Will farted. No kidding. Watch it again. 😂
(Mostly, watch Aidy's reaction)
4:35 For those who are scrolling and watching
Yeah I was wondering what happened there Haha
@@safekickerat 4:31 I think you can hear it as he turns & right before "Back up, please!"
Why on earth was this cut for time this is the single greatest sketch I've ever seen.
The POWER in "Tell god I need an answer *now*" is off the charts
“Tell God, gracias.”
Gang gang
i know your family’s the difficult kind of christian 😂😂
Tell God I need and answer, NOW!
Related to that one 😣
Laila K yup they sure were😂🤣
Aren't they all.
@@dHolbach77 you don't get it bro you're just using something unrelated to push your anti-God agenda
Everyone says SNL isn't funny anymore, but may I present Exhibit A. This is GOLD.
Why is SNL showing documentaries on musical theater teenagers in the middle of their program?
“Mr. Mayor”
*cries running away*
For some reason this made my day
"I see the sharks are swarming the boat" and at the end "here is your meat" i like how that reference came full circle
Here's how I think the casting went:
Conrad Birdie - Mikey
Kim McAfee - Ego
Albert - Beck
Rose - Cecily
Hugo - Kyle
Ursula - Aidy
Mayor - Bowen
And Heidi got nothing 😂
But remember, it was double cast.
The tech director is perfectly on point. “... but I get new gels.”
@@gabrielm4022 Gels are what you put in conventional lighting to give them color.
showproed they get super worn and scratched over time which effects the lighting quality
Right? The whole outfit and attitude was so on point
P Halliwell Gels and the lights are the most valuable things to a tech director. They value them with a ferocious kind of love and will do anything for them.
Juicers blow.
When the teacher is the biggest Drama Queen of all.
🤣🤣🤣
Every. Theatre. Teacher. *Ever* . Lol
They usually are.
why was this scene cut? this was brilliant.
At the risk of sounding like a jerk; for time. ;-)
Usually due to time. I'm guessing it was the Dress rehearsal, after which some skits get the ax. But defiantly wrong one to cut.
Pretty sure it means that it was supposed to air last but they literally ran out of time.
Pedophilia.
They didn't. It's right here.
Keenan literally says two words the entire skit and damn near steals the whole show.
Those two words said a WHOLE BACK STORY
Keenan is one born comedic showman.
He did something to make Will break lol
Except beck every single person broke just by looking at the face he made 😂
It's crazy watching him do sketch comedy when was a kid and now as adult!
Will Ferrell calling him Mr. Mayor after he said he would dropout of school if he got that role was my favorite part.😄
"CAMDEN, MAYORAL STANCE."
"Mr. Mayor..." The best part xD
LMFAOO
MIME SUSPENDERS, PLEASE.
NO NO NO NO NONONONONONO *cries*
I love how there’s one black girl lol that literally me in my theatre class
Life imitates art
Are you as hot as Ego? Because sheeeeeeesh!
FOR REAL I’m not black but I’m the one minority 💀💀
@@BeezowDoodooZopittybop-bop-bop I know I couldnt stop staring at her thru the whole thing lol
You know when you leave the room they are probably high fiving each other saying what’s up my n……a
Mikey Day (one of the most underrated SNL cast members) never breaks and he broke in this sketch. That's how funny it is.
And in the dog labatory military one but he covered it well by fake writing something on the paper.
This is one of the best sketches ever. The timing, the breaking of character, the camera blocking.
The characters.
The jokes!!
I so agarre with you, Mario
YES!
In high school I was the mayor in Bye Bye, Birdie. I understand.
This was better than at least three of the sketches that made it to air
Jackie no it’s not
@@bumblebeebrass164 Yes, it is.
Jackie SNL quality-assurance is off the chain
And the jeans commercial should have made it too. This one and that one were so much better than some of the ones they kept.
Which 3?
love this kind of sketchs, where you can see the cast is having real fun and all the energy is flowing in the right directions
