    You know as clients we trust our beauticians with our hair full heartedly. I just had to give a shout-out to this black stylist. As she said in the beginning (2:47), she was not satisfied. That is when you know you have a GREAT hairstylist. No matter how long the time passed by, she waited until she felt that she knew enough to restyle his dreads. So, I appreciate you and all your efforts! 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽

      @@LaneJane23 unless you started with a fro or long hair, 10 months is never going to satisfy, even if you were happy with your initial twist. Give your length some patience. Since you’re under a year, if your parts are no good then you could consult someone to re part them. But if it’s just the visual that’s bothering you then please don’t quite yet! Look at some videos about care and styling and try to adjust them as you’d like. No matter what just keep in mind one thing- once you cut them it’s absolute. Many days they will look or feel uncomfortable, but it’s an endless journey of improvement as you see fit. If you don’t give yourself the time to grow then you’ll never get them to where you want them to be. Just take it a day at a time and don’t judge or be too hard on yourself. Everyone’s natural locs that you’ve ever seen- the longest and most goodlooking- started where you’re at now ! Just think of how much has changed from 5 months ago. And how much another 5 or 10 months will change them. End of they day you should be happy wi th and proud of your hair so do whatever will accomplish that 💪🏽💨🤎🪶

Included multiple washes and went through 3 bottles of conditioner then greased and retwist with locking gel, no wax. After a year, I wound up cutting them off and retwist them on my own...lemon water retwist with ACV wash. My locs were also started by a loc amateur and I love my locs but I don't really like my parts, how my hair lays and the inconsistencies in size. Though I still choose to keep them. I made my own adjustments to my liking tweaking the parting and combining some.

    Hi Grace. A job well done 👏
    Has your client relocked his roots yet? If yes, what method did you use (interlocking or comb twist) or what is the preferred method please?

    • @GraceTheStylist
      @GraceTheStylist  2 роки тому +1

      He has! I will be posting up a video in 2 weeks of his progress and answering more questions in detail! But I did palm roll (comb twisting) method on his retwist. That is also my method of choice always, until I properly learn interlocking then it might change!😉

    Looked like such a long process, but you seemed to fly through the process. Just curious how long each process took you? In future videos could you mention how long each step took? Some could relate to timing. Great job by the way!

    Facts FIX IT n make sure ITS RIGHT stop being lazy stylists out there (then some of ya be TAXING asking for $200-500 n doing half ass work) I done asked for two strand twists and ended up with 3 strand twists like wtf take ya time and count the locs so it can be an even amount
    ALSO STYLISTS START CLEANING THE ROOTS OF YOUR CLIENTS HAIR BETTER SO THEY DONT HAVE NO BUILD UP IN THEM TWISTS that is all folks 😬

    This was very helpful. I started my grandsons but like you my parts were off and his hair is super thick and I parted them too thick. So his hair puffs up. The ends of your clients hair look loose, why didnt you palm roll the ends?

    • @GraceTheStylist
      @GraceTheStylist  2 роки тому +1

      Because his hair was in a 'starter loc' phase and we opted for the two strand twist method because of his hair texture and it working best for him. Now that his hair has matured his locs are uniformed all the way down to the ends. I hope that makes sense!

  • @robertthompson878
    @robertthompson878 2 роки тому +1

    Not sure if it is just me but when you did the style at the end it left the center part wavy all the way to his neck. Should it be a straight center part? I think it would make it more symmetrical on both sides and cleaner. Just a thought. I am not a hair dresser or anything.
