I recently started a playthrough with Hard mobs, 1.5X resources and "More" raids. The mobs are BRUTAL even on hard. Me and my friends actually did a very hard playthrough and beat the queen prior to Ashlands, iirc Queen took is 6 hours to defeat... And from the start we used the pre-set Hardcore with no portals and alot of penalties and max raids... jeez. We had to remove that after a while, ended up taking a hell of a lot of time. Taking some tips from your series for some better survival :) Some of the stuff you pull off in this series is crazy good. Well done.
@@adamsjoberrg that sounds nuts. i did a few playthroughs on standard hardcore mode, it was a fun challenge, but a lot of the good combat mechanics get removed because you can’t block, parry, stagger, etc. i think the farthest i got was in fully upgraded trollhide best food, and i got 1shot by a troll because i stammed out a dodge roll. i was like damn even max everything i cant be touched ever?… so now i do normal difficulty, hardcore death, “more” raids thats the best honestly any more and its like “ugh again?..” stops being fun, but “more” has that “it can always happen” suspense feel
@@shmootube5000 it was, normal felt very easy for a long time after. The hardest part were the wolf raids, they just kept on starting endless death cycles for the 5 of us. The other biggest issue was actually that we were many, we scattered super easily and often ended up solo driven apart from the others and anything after black forest and scaled for 5 people on hard core was just not fun. So I agree with you, I did also try some hardcore preset solo but also ended pretty quickly after arriving in the black forest. Normal combat is pretty well balanced as you say and the flow in combat gets messed up on harder difficulties which makes it even more horrible.
@ oh god…. wolf raids… ya that’s got to be the biggest difficulty increase. on hardcore difficulty i bet its just gg ur dead. never made it that far tho lol. i barely survive that raid on normal wolves op. current playthrough on hardcore death i was near my mountain base so i ran in the doorway and swung my greataxe cleaving door and wall and multiple wolves as they poured in and survived with a half broken front of my base lol. my current favorite settings is normal, no map, no portals, more raids, all fire on. give it a try if you havent it adds just enough stakes and immersion to make normal difficulty still exciting. its like a new game with no map or portal, so much more planning and thoughtfulness, add the hardcore death aspect, its the best.
@ plenty of spice and epic times. it’s never boring when your whole life is in a boat moving to your next home, you’re PRETTY sure where you are, and you pick a tower on the edge of a swamp, but now you’re surrounded by drauger and leeches, everything is still in your boat, and… “the ground begins to shake”
Cant wait for the next playthrough already, i imagine building is mists is gonna lots of fun 😁 new part today? (This way i inow if i savor this last hour i have here left or not..🤣)

@@shmootube5000 yeah that seems like a good alternative actually, might be the proper amount of spice...

Probably tomorrow, I think it's the last one I have recorded too I better get onto it this weekend lol
@henrik9658 can't wait ❤️
The next series should be no magic 😅
thinking about some modded fun with elemental infused mobs and a buff to tower shields :D (aka no magic)
@henrik9658 ya, that would be awesome. i use jewelry mod that put a cool spin on the game...don't forget a mod for the stone cutter range
