This is the most entertained I've been by a series on youtube in a long time - take that for what it is. I recently split apart my first engine and learned how little I knew, this is inspiring to an aspiring diy guy. Thank you.
WR250 then camera girls bike let her get more practice with it before making it road legal then if she falls of won’t brake indicator or reg holder or anything like that
First: Maybe a big chunk of the gearhalf vent out through the case when it broke, and just some gears/smaller pieces stayed in the motor. Second: Of course you fix this bike before you starts tearing hear bike.
Dude, your Wife/Girlfriend is super cool. I love how into it and supportive she is. She loves the whole process probably more than you do. She's a keeper!
I had to pause the video I was watching to come here and let you know the TE250 series is the best thing I've watched on UA-cam. Keep it up, I love this channel! Alright, back to the video!!!!
Have to say something bro... what I enjoy about your videos is that you guys work as a team, your wife is supportive and you guys have fun while working together. Much respect to your wife and you bro. Always looking forward to your next videos! Respect 👍
Here’s how ya go about this. Finish the little WR cause we all like seeing good bikes brought back to life for people to enjoy again. Then sell it and use the proceeds to make her bike street legal. Or teach her how to ride the 250 since it’s a wide ratio bike and a 4 stroke and should pretty much be street legal! Bam 💥 two solutions!
The large chunk of gear must of escaped with the original damage. I'm amazed how well it survived with the bits of gear/aluminium inside. I expected the bore/piston to be badly worn, but it's not :-D.
Keep working on the WR! I discovered your channel a week ago and blasted through every video. I’ve been going through withdrawals. Thanks for the vid. Keep them coming.
Tough choose you left us with. I'd say whatever is more achievable as of right now. So there is more content. Maybe get the stuff for the road legal but continue with this engine
Seeing the clean cylinder was a pretty cool find on this! Hope inducing for for the rest of the project. Stick with this blue gal. It would be cool to see you change the crank bearing. Also pretty cool to see that the screen between the clutch half and gear half actually seemed to do its job effectivly. . .Looking forward to the electrical wizardry of the KX too. I actually went to go check one out cause of your last video. looks just as fun as as the KE100; much smaller top end which is cool to see how the modern 2stroke 100 looks compared to the older 2stroke 100.
Really cool video my friend. I somehow wound up here after watching videos on bikes and thought this was intermission lol but I stuck through it because I enjoyed your expertise and chemistry with your companion :) Kudos
U guys are the bomb seriously... so much fun to watch, so much real info and learning, a very fresh approach to a channel... keep up the good humour and laughs... and swt projects! U said it best, things don't go to you to die... long live the things others gave up on.....
Keep going, it'll be worth it. I rode one of these on an Enduro in the KwaZulu-Natal, Drakensberg mountains last year. One very capable old bike. Love your films guys.
Finish the WR. So far, it appears that for very little effort and just a little bit of time and money on gaskets, it could (hopefully) run quite nicely.
Great video, interesting to watch this diagnosis. Let's continue the WR's motor. When you've made it down to splitting cases and swapping trans you're kinda committed. Also, it becomes even more interesting to see it get checked out, finding what is necessary to fix or replace and then reassembled with as few "DOH" moments as possible...hehe!
Good job of the teardown, I think making a street legal bike is the way forward for now, then a rebuild in slow time, after all, dedication behind the camera deserves reward.
Best videos to watch. Doesn't matter what you post, though I suggest you continue with the WR given that I'm emotionally invested in this motor now. It deserves life!
Finish one project before starting another I say you finish up the blue Yamaha first You’re a very smart mechanic props to you 2 good job guys love the videos !.
Don’t run that replacement main bearing. It’s been sitting so lack of oil. And could be toast from when the crank blew. Use the other bearing but don’t pound it out, that will ruin it. You need to bake the case in an oven then it should fall right out. Best of luck!!
@@rpmjunky2795 I may be mistaken but in the uk you can get bearings pretty cheap for example I did a Ktm 400 crank bearings both of them for 20 quid :)
even lawn mowers have a decompression lever on the camshaft ive seen a lot of them fail on tecumseh engines ,, its just a cheap spring loaded lever that works on centrifugal force ,, thanks for sharing some awesome videos !!!!!
you can make a tool to hold flywheels from a old leatherbelt and a piece of wood. then it works like those clamps to release oilfilters. been using leatherbelt trick for like 28 years. works like a charm
you guys are the best lol I love watching your videos, very informative too i've learned a lot about motorcycle repair just from binge watching most of your videos
you dont change horses mid stream! love the editing. its surprisingly fresh! like really really good. its your own! and its good! you can take it very far. keep up the great content!!
I learned something. I should record myself taking complex things apart rather then taking notes. It is FAR easier to watch a video then it is to try to figure out what my bad handwriting means, ha. Also, you done good finding camera girl, haha. She is rather intelligent and can learn fast. Rare bread. Need to keep them around.
I have the solution to the Yamaha vs camera girl dilemma!! Two videos a week! Concurrent projects. then some generators, corvettes, Ferrari’s, etc. You two are great. Always love your episodes.
You and your wife are adorable lol. I’m a UA-camr too and you guys are very family friendly and I hope that content creating takes your two a long way. Bless up and keep going! 👍🏼
Jake I have a bunch of the steal frame yzfs the valves chatter loud on those I can’t really tell what your talking about from the audio in the video but remember these are first gen 4 stroke motors, most of them have a good amount of valve chatter noise my fully rebuilt one does it super loud but runs like a champ!
Finish the Yamaha before you forget how to put it back
😂😂👍🏻
What he said! :D
well said
Believe he will not forget how to put it back even after a year !

Finish the WR 250 first. Trust me its harder to start a project after you start another
You can't start something and not finish it might as well finish the WR
You must be new around here
You must be new

I was going to write both these things but i found your comment so im writing this instead.

Yep that’s what I think too
x4 good minds eh
Finish off the WR250 then starts her project. One project at a time. 😁
please keep working on the WR! your channel has taught me so much about motors i love the videos a lot thank you for the entertainment!
Dude, your Wife/Girlfriend is super cool. I love how into it and supportive she is. She loves the whole process probably more than you do. She's a keeper!

This channel has so much potential. Just keep buying broken stuff and fixing them. This channel will blow up.
“there it is, Cyclus propelus”
I love his sense of humor. Their a great Duo... definitely one of my favorite UA-cam channels and I'm not even a mechanic

Ive been waiting for this! Work on the wr!!!!!
Love how this channel just progresses from one project to the next.
Do the motor rebuild sorry camera girl
camera girl lol
Just seen this channel and watched nearly all the videos! Keep up the good work, finally some one who can actually fix stuff and makes it fun to watch
I love watching your videos, they’re so fun to watch!💕
You must use same pair of crankcases because they have been casted same time and there can be some differences between other crankcases.
Keep going on the WR, then make it camera girls bike. I bet she likes riding it better than her green machine.
Yup!

Finish the WR, but in all honesty, I see you 2 working on motorcycles, I click, I watch, I am happy! So do what you feel like doing.
You do what makes you happy man! Whatever it is, we’re going to enjoy it!
You guys are cool and I really respect your craft and effort, there’s always someone to appreciate your work out there
WR250 Engine rebuild first would be great. Love the resurrection content.
Amazing! Your videos always keep me hooked. I’d love to see the WR rebuilt. Thanks for taking the time to do this.
Finish the wr250 before you forget where everything goes and im really inteested

You two as always making me smile.. Thanks from Mr Smiley 😄😄😄😄
JG, I thorogly enjoy the content the two of ya'll put. nothing like starting a day on 4.5 hrs of sleep with a cup of coffee and a new video.

Watch enough videos then buy a small project to start on.
@@samurboi8007 See what you did , very clever :)

Just buy a brand new bearing for like 7 bucks well worth the money so you don't have to take it all apart again
Euan Fredrick $7? Crank bearings? You know much single oem bearings cost? Like $50. Aftermarket crank bearings are like $60 for a set

"Tappy tap". Someone's been watching some AvE

Those are stock cams and those small flakes were just from clutch wear, a new set of cases piston kit, kicker gear,

Relationship goals! She cheers him on. She is encouraging and supportive even when shit keeps going wrong. Lol two happiest people I ever saw haha
I bet the rest of the gear exited the case upon making that hole...
Especially since it was a weld there. The hole was a lot bigger apparently
