I miss this vehicle. One of the best things 343 added to the series, and they threw it away in Infinite.

This looks badass. Zombie's on Bo2, mechs in halo 4, it's gonna an awesome new year.

OMG, I remember so much this map in Halo 3, played hours with my friends on it!
I love the idea of the Mantis but it looks really OP. I mean, it took down a Scorpion in seconds. I hope that 343 balanced the Mantis out by giving it really low health, or maybe giving it a certain amount of ammo. But other than that, I can't wait to experience one in-game.

@@dachshund_gaming It's not overkill, it just makes sense. Spartans aren't just usrful for being infantry sized walking tanks, they also have enhanced reflexes and faster thinking. A Spartan piloting anything will surely make the vehicle better simply because they can utilize them better than an avarage marine.

Call of Duty remakes insignificant maps by using the same engine as that map was in originally, changing a few colors, and adding new weapons. 343 makes it an art beyond anything any CoD dev could ever dream of doing.
I want that music to start playing everytime I jump into a Mantis.
Would you rather spawn with an AR or BR? A weapon meant for close range or one for medium range? It's all about your play-style and since the weapons have been carefully balanced and you can't have a power weapon in your loadut, there hopefully shouldn't be any "go-to weapon(s)."
Bitching aside this mech looks like it has sheilds, rockets similar to the missile pod (although not sure of it being able to lock on), a heavy machine gun, a ground stomp, and t-bagging... Seems like it could make the matches really fun.
All the weapon trailers make them look overpowered too. It's just the highlights of ownage that come with any skilled vehicle driver in Halo.

You could rip off turrets since Halo 3. Railgun in Halo:Reach. Jetpacks since Halo:Reach. Could fly a Pelican in Halo:Reach through secret method.
That thing is ridiculously overpowered unless it's very weak. I loved seeing the banshee getting decimated considering that's been overpowered since Halo 3.
Dubstep is the future music, it will be everywhere soon. And it's the best music genre, so ha!

Actually look at the gameplay videos with it that are out now. Get's taken down pretty easily. As with anything new though there's probably some tweaking to do.

Not necessarily. They were showing off the highlights of what the Mantis can do when in the right hands, but a good rocket or two or even a well placed Scorpion should take this thing down fairly quickly I'd think.
This is just the highlight video. We have yet to see the Mantis used in a full match.
This reminds me of MechAssault for the original xbox. Dam that was a fun game.
Not sure about mechas in Halo. But we have things like 343 Guilty Spark, Sharabs, and other robotic beings.

Umm, nope I saw that but did YOU see the actual gameplay? Because I've seen a full game on the new "Valhalla" with those Mechs and they are overpowered, that uber-stomp that can destroy anything like 1 hit is ridiculous and combined with rockets AND machine turret.. yeah I'd say it's a tad bit OP. Also the mech is just completely stupid and doesn't fit in well with the Halo universe. It doesn't look or feel like a "Halo" vehicle.

What the fuck are you talking about? The mechs are slow and tall, meaning they can be shot at from everywhere. Yeah the stomp is a one hit kill, but only if it's right next to it. All the other vehicles are much faster than the Mantis so it can easily maneuver around it and avoid getting stomped on. The only vehicle that moves just as slow is the Scorpion tank. Also, what's so hard about equiping a plasma pistol and charging an EMP at it? One more thing, there isn't full gameplay of it. Yet.

In all honesty, I was a little apprehensive at the game because of this vehicle. I thought it was too gimmicky and too outside the Halo 'verse. I am so very happy to say: I was wrong!

: If you're suggesting that this will somehow completely alter the gaming experience, maybe you'd like to take a look at similar additions in recent games, like the hornet, chopper, elephant, prowler, and mongoose and how they completely altered the gaming experience for the worse /sarcasm.

I'm guessing the same people complaining about the mech are pretty much the same people who would rage quit after getting owned by someone in a scorpion or banshee. Personally i see the mech as another tool to exploit when used for me as well as another obstacle to take down when used against me.

eh, maybe, I feel like most game trailers showing off new weapons and vehicles tend to make them look intensely powerful so that people get pumped. That being said it absolutely has got to be a big clumsy easy target to NOT be over powered if the automatic and missile weapon systems are as good as the video shows.
Because Halo 3 is still playable and we don't go backgrounds. If you want Halo 3, go play it. I want Halo "4". Halo evolves and never devolves.

I hope you know that the reason it was dominating in the trailer was to highlight what it can do. This doesn't mean that the mantis is invincible
there's a difference between changing the game and completely altering it to the point where it's an entirely different experience.
