So glad your trouble was short-lived. I cannot eat any backpacking "meals in a bag" without something similar happening. So I took LOTS of notes of Elsa's meals, I think they will do just fine. Thanks for another excellent video!!
I wish they didn't put hot/boiling water in the plastic package... It will cause microplastics to get into your food. Why not put it all in a pot like Elsa? Apart from that there must be something in the packaged food that does not sit well for sure!
First of all, I'm so happy Barron's okay. I've been praying that we got good news. This was an amazing video. You young ones are brave and very ambitious. It is so entertaining for us all, I'm sure they agree. keep them coming and oh yeah, Barron you take care of other things and leave the meals to Elsa. lol She's gonna eat well no matter what, I'd feel better if you joined her. "Momma hen kicking in, lol" Thanks so much for sharing
I've done a 15 mile hike in one day🚶♀️😅 I was overweight and thought I was going to die 🤣 I can't wait to do it again now that my health is under control!! You're inspiring me to get off my ass!!
I remember my first year of summer 4-H overnight week long camp when I was 10 years old. The second day I was there, I came down with some sort of dysentery crap and I threw up and had this shits for 24 hours straight. The crazy thing was so did a bunch of other little campers. I remember wanting to go home so bad but for some reason I was unable to. I just remember being so thirsty and drinking water and then throwing that up. It was pure misery. Glad you are feeling better. I think it takes days like that in life to make you appreciate so much more of the good LOL
My heart goes out for you :'( I've watched only two of your videos so far and each one has ended with something going wrong. It is amazing to still see you trying and getting out there despite the bad experiences, keep up the awesome work! The places you go look incredible
Glad Barons is okay, Elsa's food looks more healthy and it is homemade not packaged. Love your trip with your friends it is nice to see what you all are doing. Kamp is living the good life because of you two. Blessings and stay safe.
Wow, the rainbow covering lake from end to end was beyond spectacular! I'm sure in person it was so much more magical. Thanks for sharing! Glad you all got out safely and all is well!💛🕊
I always admire her commitment to the food variety ( this and other videos).I take Stove Top, packet chicken and plain oatmeal to eat and that's it. Can't be bothered on trail to make the effort.
So sorry Barron was so sick at the end of your adventure. This video was such a delight, beautiful scenery and living your best lives. Way to camp Kamp!!! Stay well, you guys Rock!!
Really enjoyed both recent videos and appreciate the work that went into making and editing them. Elsa, you are a warrior, Barron, I am SO sorry. Been there (in Guatemala) and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Glad you are both ok and such a trail of stories you have to tell the grandkids someday.
Amazing video, amazing scenery, amazing people, amazing experience. I'm glad Barron recovered from his food poisoning. I've had it several times in my life, a couple times very badly, so I know how awful it feels. You guys are a tough lot with great resilience. Thank you for sharing your ups and downs with us. Love from Massachusetts.
That whole bit where you described Kamp and his breed nature versus how he's fit into your little family, just melted my heart. He seems like the best little boy cat/dog a nomad (But now property owning) family could ever wish for. 😊🥰
I’m so sorry you got sick Barron. I don’t know how you hiked that sick. Elsa you are a true heroine carrying so much weight. It was such a beautiful video.
Ugh! So sorry you had such a bad experience. Camping with those symptoms is definitely no fun. I eat Good to Go meals regularly (Pad Thai being one of my favs) and think they’re the best dehydrated meals I’ve ever tried. So many amazing options. Being from Maine, I’m happy to support a local business that offers truly awesome meals. I’ve never had a bad experience, thankfully. Anyway, I hope you don’t give up on this wonderful Maine Company. Also, my husband and I really enjoy your videos. Keep up the good work! Our pup, Eska, enjoys watching Kamp. 🥰
Looked absolutely beautiful. My favorite thing to have with wild berries is trout . Cook the berries down the natural sugars cause it to caramelize then spread it over the trout. Good stuff.
This one was just so super entertaining! So many beautiful moments, Kamp cuteness, and fun friend times. Makes me want to camp. But every time Barron ate, I was like, "Oh no, oh no, oh no." Glad you were able to enjoy most of the trip before that happened and that you made it back safely!
Oh man!!! I'm so sorry that you got sick Barron! Thank goodness you weren't alone out there! It was really comforting to hear you two recounting the events from the "other side." It looked like a great trip minus the illness of course.
Hello! I must say, I enjoy your video blogs because they are like mini documentaries. I have learned many tips from both of you. When I watch the dogs in the forest I think about where the Puppy and I are gonna go today. I've lived and am living a similar life except for the nomad part. It is a reminder to keep doing those activities because they are so fulfilling! Hiking, Bicycling, taking awesome pics and amazing videos from different angles, your editing and music, appreciating and loving on your sweet Dog, you two with your good humour and wisdom from constant learning, all way more fun to watch than boring and serious news...so Thanks!!!
It takes a real man to admit when he has shat himself in the woods. Im so sorry this all happened to you. But Im glad that the first couple of days were good fun!
I now live vicariously through you guys. I love remembering my time in Colorado through your channel, I was and am so inspired by you two and this journey.
Stunning but sorry I got sick Barron but it was an amazing journey to be on with u all! I’m old n my heart is to weak now to do what I love n u doing it helps.. thanks u all
Kamp is my new favourite influencer on any platform. (Also, great vid; engaging, beautifully shot, super well-edited to preserve a compelling pace, & you two + your friends are gorgeous & seem just delightful. New Sub, right here.)
Great video, loved the scenery!! Glad Barron made it through his ordeal. I had food poisoning while camping; ONE bite of a bad sandwich made for a very miserable night and a trip to the hospital to help get rehydrated! By the way…noticed Barron’s reading choices on his Kobo reader; “Hatchet “ is one of my favourite; make sure to also read “Brian’s Return “ and “Brian’s Winter “!!
Was concerned that you Baron, weren't able to at least hydrate initially when hiking out🤒. As for the princess, so nice that there were comforts rendered to him whenever he wanted, and made sure no lumps or bumps for him to lay on (AKA The Princess and the Pea!!🥰🥰). Beautiful trip--all happy and healthy❤❤
Stellar video as usual. So sorry Barron got sick and I think you are spot in about the food poisoning. What a shame bc I actually like that brand of bp meals.
Great, great video. But so sorry Barron got sick. Elsa you seem like a natural at taking care of people. Your videos have been getting better and better. I'd like to know what you both have been reading lately, if you've had time.
So glad Baron survived that. Perhaps it was from the spices in that food he was eating that caused his bowels to have issues. It was a beautiful area you were camping in, and what a gorgeous lake and 🌈. And kudos to Elsa for hauling more than her fair share. Talk about stamina and endurance for you both. It takes a strong and determined mind when the body is sick and hindered, Baron 12 miles in that condition, EPIC. You two are the sweetest power couple. EDIT: If ever in that situation again, may I suggest you please take an herb called Slippery Elm along with organic aloe vera juice.
Wow...sorry to hear about Barron.. Can't imagine how hard it was to hike out being sick like that. Might be a good idea to carry charcoal capsules for this kind of situation. You start by taking a couple an hour up to 8 if needed. They absorb the poison. I have used them for food poison, upset stomach and even just undigested food. They work. Anyway the video was beautiful. You guys know the spots and do a great job sharing. No, Elsa, photos can never express the beauty. I think its because as you perceive the landscape and setting, it sees and feels you. 2 way exchange with the world. ❤
So, I haven't even watched this yet, but wanted to tell you that I absolutely love it whenever it's time for me to finally sit down, have a late lunch, cast a YT vid on my TV, and you and Baron show up in my subscriptions with a new video! Oh, Happy Day!
I have never gotten so much joy from a channel before and I’ve been watching UA-cam for over 15 years. Thank you guys for being so amazing. I look forward to every single one of your videos💜
I have a dog/ cat, a Maine Coon, so I feel for Camp, and Barron, and really glad it wasn’t giardia or a bit of Amanita ! Th rainbow “ all in the lake,” made me love Barron even more. ELSA HAD YOUR BACK! More hiking and camping pleeeeeeze!!!!
What a GREAT video. I'm glad that Barron could walk out of the hike. I had food poisoning a few years ago. Mine lasted about 4 hours. I couldn't puke or crap. I couldn't get off of the couch. It stayed in my gut just punishing me for steaming broccoli with the same water of the muscles. Note..NEVER do that! Beautiful scenery. Classy video. I'm heading to Colorado with my fella early October :) We love that state.
So glad Barron is okay and doing much better. What a difficult thing to deal with. Definitely makes me think about trying to plan for what-ifs but it is impossible to plan for everything.
You guys are amazing! Hope you guys know that. Love how much you guys love to learn and just go for it. That view was just stunning!!! The rainbow 😍😍 so glad you’re feeling much better Barron!! So loving of you Elsa to step up and help your partner out. I pray
What an amazing hike. Such a beautiful place! That rainbow just off the charts beautiful! Beautiful video. What a inlighning experience to be sooooo ill out in the middle of nowhere. Soooo happy things worked out and I knew Elsa would step up. That's the power of the two of the borh of you. No more Pad Thai Barron! At least not that Pad Thai. Fabulous video! Just gave me the bug to get out there again. See you next timecand stay safe and well!😊🌺🙋♀️
Beautiful trip. So beautiful. Thank you for your video. Kamp im so glad you made the trip. You are so precious. Elsa your awesome. Maybe next time Baron will listen to Elsa and eat your kind of food. Great camping trip.
Hiya Elsa, Barron, Kamp and Friends 🖐. It started out so beautiful and the rainbow was so awesome 👍. After watching part 1, I was so curious what happened to Barron. Well as a person who suffers from colitis and diverticulosis, I can feel ya pain Barron. Some attacks have lasted 3 days and mostly in bed due to the medicine knocking me out. Thankfully I haven't had an attack in long time, diet changes helped. I appreciate y'all sharing your adventure with us and the scenery was gorgeous. Kamp is such a good dog, I know when he wants to be, lol. Glad you are feeling better Barron, and please let Elsa pack your meals for future trips. Looking forward to seeing more videos. Stay safe beautiful people. God Bless y'all and Kamp🙏✌❤😊
Such a bad sick day. I gotta say, I’ve always stayed away from MRE type meals after which I had a very similar experience. All the preservatives and additives can’t be good, right? After that, I always go the route Elsa did, which is to say I piece my meals together myself. I’ve never had another sick day on trail. I hope you’ll have a chance to get on the trail again and really enjoy it - no sick, no rain, good company, weather and food. Glad you’ve feeling better.
Boy I really admire the 2 of you. Its obvious the two of you just click. Truely made for each other. I love how you live, and make your own furniture, and things for your new property. You are both truely inspiring for sure. Im glad that sudden illness was short lived. That is a scary thing to deal with at any time. I wish you 3 the best and a wait your next adventure. Be safe, stay well and God bless

I've wasted a lot of time in this shitt rat race but it's never too late. Thank you guys just for being you...
What an awesome trip [with the exception of Barron getting SO sick]!! As fellow travelers, you have got it all worked out, are adaptable to each and every bend of the road. I LOVE following your channel! It is such beautiful countryside, and as a nature photographer, I often find myself EXTREMELY frustrated that I can't capture the majesty, the magnitude and the inner peace and mindfulness that comes with it! Sadly, most people don't get it, can't see it [logistically/financially], etc. I truly admire you, Barron for your honesty! To ADMIT you "shat the bed" is a part of life when people get so, SO sick!! Some guys hit an emotional wall when they find spinach stuck in their teeth! 👏👏😊
Ahh so addicting!! You guys should be on tv!! Idk why but I couldn't stop watching this!! Thanks for sharing your awesome adventures with us. So sorry you got sick. You guys are friggin champs. Lol God bless. Stay safe. 💚💚
kamp was so precious the whole time. whenever yall ate in the tent he was like where is mine and when the other dog was being a dog, kamp is like what is he actually doing lmaoso glad barron was ok
Finally got to go on my first backpacking trip last weekend after living in Colorado for 2.5 years. It’s so cool to see y’all have a similar trip and learn from your trips as well
I swear I didnt mean to laugh but when Barron was talking about gettin out of bed in middle of the night for a , should I say diaper change, I laughed till tears came out of my eyes. Im so sorry you were sick and that I laughed
The scenery was fabulous. Great video as was very well done. I also appreciate the reality of your honesty to share the good with the bad. Very sorry Barron got sick. Poor guy. That just had to be the worst. Like just put me out of my misery and bury me here! In the end though, another adventure even though with parts you never want to repeat. I am doing the Northville-Placid Trail in the Adirondaks in sections. I’m 75. We do slow very very well. One more to go. We have a lot of beavers up there and with them, “beaver fever”, Giardiasis infection, which is horrible so instead of filtering my water I use Katadyn Micropur purification tablets. Since everyone on your hike drank the same water, its hard to determine the source of Barron’s illness. I agree with Barron it did not act like a water borne condition which lasts for many days. Maybe he just had a 24 hour bug? Whatever! It shall remain a mystery. Oh and also great choice in music in editing. Camp is a star. The other doggie was great too.
What an adventure! Reminds me a bit of a back pack trip we did a few summers ago. Middle of the summer in Colorado and a storm was rolling in. Hail, rain, then sleet. Thunder and lightning was booming and rushing around us. I was ok with everything but the lightening. We made camp and it was such a cold night. Those Colorado Rockies are beautiful and they are my happy place, but there are times when they let you know who is boss and you find out what you’re made of. Camp did so well!
Getting severely ill and having to care for yourself, above and beyond what you think you can do....really fills in those blanks..."can I do it?...yes I can!" I'm very proud of all of you!
Watching Kamp and Kamp's friend cross the rivers is our fav part! (Also hope Barron is feeling better!)

Interesting! The packaged food makes you ill, as well. Good to know!
Same happened to me in Guatemala too 😖 it can happen in an instant!
@@ElsaRhae 😢
Your such a supportive dog mom ✨
I paws this video to say, your devotion to your dog makes my heart smile!!! Such pawsitivity!!! 😆☠️
I also totally agree with going on a trip, and being super organized !
Just found your videos this past week and it's amazing how Kamp figures out how to get across 👏😀
Super Kamp ❤🐕❤
Stunning but sorry I got sick Barron but it was an amazing journey to be on with u all! I’m old n my heart is to weak now to do what I love n u doing it helps.. thanks u all
Kamp is my new favourite influencer on any platform.
(Also, great vid; engaging, beautifully shot, super well-edited to preserve a compelling pace, & you two + your friends are gorgeous & seem just delightful.
New Sub, right here.)
I just love to watch Kamp getting cosy at any opportunity. He makes my day bless him.
Sorry he was not well
Stellar video as usual.
I’ve been listening to Dune over the last month! Pretty interesting. Barron’s currently reading Comfort Crisis!
Thank you for sharing your trip & the lovely wildflowers!!
My heart aches for the loss of their dog. Sending healing loving energy ❤🐾
Amazing vlog and incredible scenery. Camp did amazing, so sorry you got ill Barron and relieved you got back safely xx
Happy you are feeling better. Love that you guys exist so well together. Your trio is badass.
Barron is such a gentleman. I wish more men were like him!! And glad he is ok! I was so worried! 🤗
So, I haven't even watched this yet, but wanted to tell you that I absolutely love it whenever it's time for me to finally sit down, have a late lunch, cast a YT vid on my TV, and you and Baron show up in my subscriptions with a new video! Oh, Happy Day!
Especially when the video is so long!!! Feels like we’re going to the movies!
@@threesidesofranch8011 , I agree!
Me, too! It's always hard to wait for the next Elsa, Barron and Kamp adventure!
Elsa stepped up big time!... The ultimate trooper! What a dynamic duo💫
So glad you’re ok Barron!!! Stay safe you two!!!👠🚌👠
God bless you people , you are living life to the absolute fullest ,wide open and without fear. You guys have inspired me like no one else. I am 59 years old and I lost my wife , the love of my life in November. My kids are grown and on their own. I am making plans to sell out and pursue a similar lifestyle to what you guys have done for the rest of my life as long as I am able. I've wasted a lot of time in this shitt rat race but it's never too late. Thank you guys just for being you...
Wow, thank you for sharing. It sounds like a pre planned passage in life, like this experience has sacred significance.
32:12 Kamp is like “what are we looking at” 😂 that Rainbow 🌈🤩🤩🤩🤩 it’s so pretty!
I was laughing too as he recorded it! :P It's good we can laugh about it now bc we surely weren't laughing in the moment! haha
I thoroughly enjoyed this video! Thank you so much! Glad Barron made a quick recovery. Camp is a hoot!
The lake was breathtaking and the rainbow...what a gift.🧡
great video.....what an amazing rainbow!!! So glad Barron got better....that was rough.
Getting severely ill and having to care for yourself, above and beyond what you think you can do....really fills in those blanks..."can I do it?...yes I can!" I'm very proud of all of you!
